On New Years Day we had an emergency situation with our gas hot water tank and desperately called Aaron at Thunderbird Plumbing for help. Despite family commitments he was at our place within an hour and did not leave until he was sure everything was working perfectly. Due to the bad timing of this event, we were expecting a large gouging bill but instead received a pleasantly reasonable charge for all his service and materials. A few weeks later we needed to replace the main water line from the front street to our house so once again, I called Aaron. He was there first thing in the morning to provide us with a quote that was obviously fair considering all the work involved in this job and all the additional required materials like pressure reducers, hose bib, shut off valves, etc. He had one other commitment that day but said he could have our situation completed by the following day. In fact, he did better than that, when I checked my e-mail that same evening I received his detailed invoice for the completed job along with some great photos of the work days progression; his charges were exactly as promised. Aaron is a great guy, his work was excellent, he takes pride in his work, he is fair and honest to his customers and I would consider him a true plumbing professional. I have passed his name and card on to a number of my friends and family and the next time we need a plumber, Aaron at Thunderbird Plumbing will be the only call I make. Thanks again Aaron! read more

We recommend Aaron highly. I was hosting a bridal shower on a Saturday at noon for my granddaughter. In a panic, I phoned Thunderbird Plumbing after reading the reviews on Yelp on the Friday before. After speaking with Aaron, he took my phone number and called me back asking about the details of the plumbing work I needed to have done. I explained my situation. He said to me " What time do you get up?" I replied "pretty early". He said he would be at our house by 7a.m. On Saturday morning, just before 7, there was a knock at the door, and there he was ready to help. Not only did he remove my dishwasher, he installed the new one in record time and as well, installed a new kitchen faucet. Aaron is a "stickler" for details. He is organized, efficient, extremely clean and left our house immaculate just as my other granddaughter came to help me. I would certainly recommend him and if ever I need work like this again, Aaron would be my number "1" go to. Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. Professional, knowledgeable, courteous, considerate, punctual, no job too big or too small, with the experience to think 'outside the box' when necessary -- all describe Aaron of T-bird Plumbing to a 'T'! His interest in & enthusiasm for his work is rare & admirable, and the manner in which he explains his findings to someone with zero plumbing knowledge (like me) was the cherry on top! Aaron repaired/replaced leaking, ill-fitting plumbing parts in my kitchen & bathroom with great efficiency & much-appreciated tidiness. Even though my work was carried out only a couple of days ago, I've already had occasion to refer Aaron's services to a Property Manager and a manager in a real estate firm -- and will continue to recommend him to friends and associates with no hesitation whatsoever! My only regret is that there aren't more (review) stars available ... Aaron's not a 5 -- he's definitely a 10+++! D. Foss, Victoria, BC (not Oakland, Calif). read more

Last week I came home from a trip abroad to find no hot water in my taps. Checked the breaker panel to find the hot water heater circuit had tripped. Flipped it back on again and while watching the tank (12 years old), saw sparks and smoke come out of the access panel. Not good! After getting a "hard sell" and a high price from another plumber, I checked out Thunderbird. Aaron gave me good advice about the size of tank I'd need, and what seemed like a very reasonable price, all inclusive. He was booked for the day, but offered to re-arrange things if I really needed the job done right away. I was happy with first thing the next morning, and was impressed to see him show up right on time. The installation was super, and the little touches like putting insulation around the exposed pipes, and sweeping up afterwards, were all appreciated. No hesitation at all in recommending Aaron at Thunderbird! read more

Aaron at Thunderbird is amazing. I would highly recommend him. It's rare that you meet someone as professional, caring and ethical as Aaron. I just purchased a new house and was distressed to learn that the plumbing was substandard. Aaron not only repiped the entire house but he fixed several problems he encountered along the way. Despite the extra work he came in just slightly over his quote. The work is outstanding, top notch and he explained every step to me. He was considerate of my budget and made recommendations for future wok but did not pressure me to do it immediately. Aaron will be my go to person for all my future plumbing needs. Looking at his other reviews, my opinion is clearly shared by all his customers. Thank you, Aaron!! read more

Honestly, I was Pretty blown away by the vigilance of these guys here. I called and was penciled in straight away and they where here within the hour to help me, then ended up going above and beyond when they actually helped us unexpectedly installed an entirely new sink we had stored, immediately. In and out, super fast. didn't catch the worker's name, but he was right on it and worked with whatever came at him with our whacked out sink, mopped up, and was straight-foreword about how to care for our new fixture. Before he left he even bought something from our business. I would absolutely use this service again and wave happily to the van if I saw them out somewhere. I will be recommending in the future read more

Aaron just today finished up a job at our place, and I cannot say how pleased I am. The whole experience, from first contact through to completion of the work, was excellent. My initial call was responded to in a timely fashion, an estimate quickly followed, and the work was done super fast, and even came in under budget by a considerable margin. I categorically recommend Thunderbird to anyone with plumbing needs in the Victoria area, and I'm certain I will be using their services again in the future. read more

A friend who said Thunderbird Plumbing did great work referred me, and was she ever right! Aaron and his workers were skilled and efficient, as well as polite and congenial. They put in a new water heater & took out the old, changed my laundry taps, removed the old rusty garbarator & replaced the pipe, plus left things tidy---all within 2 hours and within the price estimate. It's not easy to find such reliable assistance for these important household jobs! read more

I had an water emergency on a Friday and called a bunch of different plumbers, but Aaron / Thunderbird was the most responsive. I was in pinch and had to leave for the weekend. I trusted Aaron with my house keys, and by the time I returned home on the Monday, the problem was fixed. Aaron texted me photos of the job, which kept me in the loop and gave me piece of mind. He's the best and I would definitely use Thunderbird again! read more
