On New Years Day we had an emergency situation with our gas hot water tank and desperately called Aaron at Thunderbird Plumbing for help. Despite family commitments he was at our place within an hour and did not leave until he was sure everything was working perfectly. Due to the bad timing of this event, we were expecting a large gouging bill but instead received a pleasantly reasonable charge for all his service and materials. A few weeks later we needed to replace the main water line from the front street to our house so once again, I called Aaron. He was there first thing in the morning to provide us with a quote that was obviously fair considering all the work involved in this job and all the additional required materials like pressure reducers, hose bib, shut off valves, etc. He had one other commitment that day but said he could have our situation completed by the following day. In fact, he did better than that, when I checked my e-mail that same evening I received his detailed invoice for the completed job along with some great photos of the work days progression; his charges were exactly as promised. Aaron is a great guy, his work was excellent, he takes pride in his work, he is fair and honest to his customers and I would consider him a true plumbing professional. We recommend Aaron highly. I was hosting a bridal shower on a Saturday at noon for my granddaughter. In a panic, I phoned Thunderbird Plumbing after reading the reviews on Yelp on the Friday before. After speaking with Aaron, he took my phone number and called me back asking about the details of the plumbing work I needed to have done. I explained my situation. He said to me " What time do you get up?" I replied "pretty early". He said he would be at our house by 7a.m. On Saturday morning, just before 7, there was a knock at the door, and there he was ready to help. Not only did he remove my dishwasher, he installed the new one in record time and as well, installed a new kitchen faucet. Aaron is a "stickler" for details. He is organized, efficient, extremely clean and left our house immaculate just as my other granddaughter came to help me. Last week I came home from a trip abroad to find no hot water in my taps. Checked the breaker panel to find the hot water heater circuit had tripped. Flipped it back on again and while watching the tank (12 years old), saw sparks and smoke come out of the access panel. Not good! After getting a "hard sell" and a high price from another plumber, I checked out Thunderbird. Aaron gave me good advice about the size of tank I'd need, and what seemed like a very reasonable price, all inclusive. He was booked for the day, but offered to re-arrange things if I really needed the job done right away. I was happy with first thing the next morning, and was impressed to see him show up right on time. The installation was super, and the little touches like putting insulation around the exposed pipes, and sweeping up afterwards, were all appreciated. I just purchased a new house and was distressed to learn that the plumbing was substandard. Aaron not only repiped the entire house but he fixed several problems he encountered along the way. Honestly, I was Pretty blown away by the vigilance of these guys here. I called and was penciled in straight away and they where here within the hour to help me, then ended up going above and beyond when they actually helped us unexpectedly installed an entirely new sink we had stored, immediately. In and out, super fast. didn't catch the worker's name, but he was right on it and worked with whatever came at him with our whacked out sink, mopped up, and was straight-foreword about how to care for our new fixture. Before he left he even bought something from our business. I would absolutely use this service again and wave happily to the van if I saw them out somewhere. I've known Aaron for about five years and he is a kind, competent and professional person . More importantly, after being taken to the cleaners by numerous unscrupulous plumbers over the years, I find him to be honest and trustworthy. He is thorough and does a great job on installations, and I suspect that he treats small jobs with the same dignity and respect as larger ones. They installed a furnace boiler / hot water heater combo unit and did a great job. The boiler had an issue on the first Saturday night and Aaron was there on Sunday am to reset it and it's been perfect since.
