My experience with Super Plumber left me feeling completely misled.
I received an estimate for a full sewer line replacement that clearly showed both a regular price and a Member Price. Before moving forward, I called the office twice and specifically asked whether the member pricing would apply to my project if I purchased a membership. Both times I was told yes.
Based on those assurances, I stopped pursuing other contractors and purchased the membership.
However, when I later contacted the manager to schedule the work, I was suddenly told that the member discount did not apply because this was a "new installation" project.
This made no sense. The estimate itself clearly displayed a Member Price for the sewer replacement. If member pricing was never available for this type of work, why was it shown on the estimate, and why was I told multiple times that it would apply?
What bothers me most is that if I had not asked the manager one more question before signing, I might not have discovered this until after the work was completed, when I would have been presented with a much larger bill than expected.
The money matters, but the loss of trust matters more. I relied on the information provided by the company, turned away other contractors, and even purchased a membership based on what I was told. Finding out at the last minute that the company would not honour those representations was extremely frustrating.
For a company handling projects worth tens of thousands of dollars, this level of inconsistency is unacceptable. I cannot recommend a company that tells customers one thing and then changes its position when it is time to proceed. read more
