North Refund Centre is the best bottle depot. It's very busy, but I never have to wait in line too long, because the staff is very efficient. They are accurate too, and if I bring in a pre-counted bag of cans, they trust me and won't recount.
Sometimes I find this place mesmerizing. I like watching how fast the workers move and count. And I love the how the place fills with the clinging and clanging sounds of tin cans and glass bottles. I like how the workers fling the empty boxes high up into the air and how they fall onto a platform. I also find it amusing when people walk out still holding the ten or fifteen dollars they just made. It's like they are so excited and proud, they can't just yet put it back into their wallets.
And unlike some bottle depots, this place is kept very clean. There's even a sink where you can wash your hands! Yes, this bottle depot rocks. read more
