Then, when it comes down to appointment day, and they have all of your information, it seems the price has gone up to over a hundred dollars and now they can sell your information however, they wish. I really wasn't sure if this place works like that so I decided to call. After calling eight times in a span of ten minutes it's clear the phone number listed on here. Doesn't work. It seems the only thing that does work is collecting all of your information. No, if I found this information wrong, please contact me and I'll correct this. After doing some research online looking for local recommendations, I called Ziegler Heating & Cooling on Monday morning at 7am. I was sent to voicemail when I contacted Ziegler, so I hung up and called Knoechel. (I called Ziegler first because I have an American Standard AC unit, and based on Zieglers website, it appeared that American Standard was a preferred brand of theirs/they may specialize in. Whereas Lennox appears to be the preferred brand at Knoechel. - my thought process was, if I was going to need a replacement, then I'd want an American Standard, hence Ziegler was my first call). Spoke with a woman who answers incoming calls for Knoechel, who took all of my information (contact info and description of the problem) and informed me that I'd receive a call back shortly. 30 minutes later I received a call from one of their techs who then arrived at my house less than 10 minutes later (I am local in Zelienople, where they are headquartered). Within an hour my AC was running normally again without any attempts to upsell/oversell. (Thorough cleaning of AC coils on the outside unit, replacement of dual capacitor, and temperature checks - about an hours worth of work, $177) All that work PLUS the expediency in response time came at a price that was in line with a competitor a family member had used last week located in Pittsburgh (which was too far away to service my house in Zelie). Without question, I'd recommend Knoechel!

Utterly disappointed. Chose this company based on their Yelp…read morereviews. The technician (Duane) arrived to clean our ducts on 10/2025. We had previously taken the time to move everything out of the way to provide complete access to the ductwork and make things easier for the tech. Why are we disappointed? - the dust level in our house is much, much worse than prior to service being preformed - upon checking I saw a large amount of debris in the bottom of our ducting - the technician reinstalled a register grill upside down because the duct tin needed tacked up out of the way and he apparently didn't want to bother taking time to do it correctly. - I had to ask about the condition of our ducts prior to the cleaning before he would show me just a one single before photo. I have to wonder if it was actually a photo of our ducting. - I got a negative vibe from the technician from the outset. His demeanor was less than friendly and he didn't talk much. My impression was that he wanted to get in and out as quickly as possible. I felt he was a very poor representative of this company. The work was completed quickly and I can't help but feel we received a "rush job". The dust in our house is much worse than ever and this experience was a complete waste of our $725. We feel like we've been ripped off. Per your response to my review above - Yes it's true that it's been a year since the service was performed. I've been meaning to send a review since last winter. However, because I'm a procrastinator and I sincerely don't like to complain doesn't change anything about my honest, but blunt, statements. The unusual frequency and amount of dusting we now have to do after your service (not to mention shelling out your service fee for sub, substandard work) finally drove me to take this step. Furthermore, explain to me why when I happened to be performing some home maintenance a couple of months ago, I found the thick layer of crud laying on the bottom of our ducting ? It shouldn't be there in that volume. Is your equipment inadequate ? As far as the operable grill reinstalled upside down goes, it was GLARINGLY obvious because it had once been painted except for a strip on the bottom behind the carpeting. That, exceedingly noticeable, contrasting strip was reinstalled up, instead of down, where it's hidden by the carpet nap. (I can send you a photo.) I saw how the tin interfered with the reinstallation and I had to mess around and tack it up out of the way. So I believe the technician didn't want to deal with it and put on upside down instead of, at least, notifying me. And I suggest you speak to your technicians about how they represent your establishment. On the whole, our experience points to some sort of problem with your company. Where that problem lies is up for debate. I initially read all the good reviews regarding your company. I expected at least adequate work to be performed. What we got was, at best, unacceptable. You can speak about all the positive things about your company and your personnel, all I know is what we experienced. Instead of denying everything I said perhaps you should consider it objectively and take it for what it's worth.

You all led me to this small, local business and you were spot-on, so I am paying it forward by adding my review! My family had our pipes freeze in the winter storm this Christmas. Friday, it was the cold water pipe, which took seven hours of work to unfreeze. We thought we were in the clear and counted our blessings as we kept the cold water running overnight Friday -- only to discover Saturday around noon that the hot water pipe was now frozen solid. Twelve straight hours of effort with hair dryers, space heaters, boiling water pots, heating pad wraps and everything else we could think of did not work and we went to sleep Christmas Eve defeated, wondering how we were hosting the rest of my family on Christmas with no hot water, dishwasher, etc. (Our efforts did eventually pay off with the hot water coming on at 8 a.m. Christmas morning and no pipes bursting. So grateful.) During this nightmare I called a number of plumbers who list themselves as emergency 24/7 plumbers, but only Gary from Brickhaas called back. He called during the span of time that I thought everything was under control, but I asked if we could be booked for later in the week to unclog a bathroom drain I've had a problem with lately. Glad I booked them as, after the pipes thawed, the under sink drain was leaking slightly so Dominic was able to take a look at both of these things today. He called with a 20-minute heads up on his arrival, efficiently took care of the clogged sink and an aerator that was limiting water flow, installed a new kitchen sink trap assembly (which he said I could honestly take or leave; I appreciated the honesty but opted to replace for my own peace of mind), and offered solid advice about what we might do if plans to better insulate those water pipes in the future didn't work out re: rerouting the pipes from their current, poor location. He was highly knowledgeable, didn't hard sell anything and I absolutely got his card as I'll be calling them for future plumbing needs. Yelp comes through, as usual!

So my initial fee covered his visit and the adjustment, unlike other vendors I've used in the past where they look for things that they can charge you more or say they're about to break, just to charge you more money for the service. Due to our AC unit being located under the deck, and the fact that it was 24 years old, it was running constantly, and it was determined that there was an issue. It was more cost-effective to purchase a new AC unit. The technician was very thorough in explaining what our options were. Rob came to determine where we would like our new AC unit , to confirm the AC unit we wanted , and to take measurements also . Again, he was very thorough in going through the options and what was going to happen with the install. After ordering the unit, the Nemcheck team arrived for our scheduled install. The whole team was very friendly, respectful and working hard all day. My husband and I are thrilled with our AC unit and would absolutely utilize Nemcheck Heating and Cooling in the future. Our water heater broke, was leaking, and the shutoff valve didn't work. So we were looking for quick service, and Kennihan's delivered. I called before the start of normal business hours (probably 7am or so). Whomever fields calls off-hours took my information and promised someone would call me back to discuss service in 15-20 minutes. Sure enough in less than 15 minutes I received a call (I believe from the owner) and was informed service would be scheduled as soon as their service desk folks arrived at 8am to see what techs were available and when. Again, I received a call promptly around 8am, discussed my situation, provided the necessary details to get an over-the-phone estimate, and scheduled a service call for that same day. When the tech arrived around 3.5 hours later, he had the old water heater removed, and the new water heater installed in about 4 hours. With all the complaints I saw others post about being "ripped off," I didn't find that to be true. They installed a quality Rheem gas water heater (not one you can buy at Home Depot), a new shutoff valve for the water and gas, and disposed of the old water heater, and some other bulky parts from an old air filter unit (that had nothing to do with the service call). Conversely, my parents used a different HVAC company, and paid a comparable price for a new water heater installation but didn't have same day service, didn't have one that needed replaced/disposed of, and purchased a different brand of water heater. The total difference in price was $300. All-in-all I felt it what we paid was reasonable. By all means, comparison shop, but I'll be calling these guys the next time I have an HVAC problem.

I called at noon to find out he was delayed and he would call when he was on his way. No problem. An hour later, he was at my front door and I am still at work. Had to send my neighbor over to tell him I would get there as soon as possible. Then the office calls and says the plumber is at my house. No kidding. He said my disposal needed replaced and would cost $938.00 . I agreed and later found out I could have had Lowes or Home Depot do it for $386. What a rip off! I'm not rich and work hard for my money. Being charged $550 more to do a job than what it really costs to do is not right. It was a simple job. Remove a disposal and install a new one. The plumbing and electricity were already there. I will never use them again!
