Look, no one enjoys the legal process, that's for certain. Okay, maybe not absolutely certain, but…read moreI certainly do not enjoy Court things... However, it helps with the process when the staff are kind and willing to assist in the manner they are able. Most clerks/customer service employees here cannot answer certain questions or provide advise that may teeter into "legal advice territory" which is completely understandable when they're not practicing attorneys and are to remain neutral in the cases. However, they can answer some questions and especially if one is careful in how the question is framed. I have been to this court a few times, it feels lighter than the ones down town (for obvious (to me) reasons), I don't mind coming up here when I have to and when I do, I leave feeling a little more at ease than when I first arrived. Today, the same was true. Be patient, be kind, and remember these are our public service workers and they do their very best, I believe.

But it made changing the ownership of our property extremely simple. We chatted via a screen with a helpful person who led us through the steps from scanning our changed documents to paying for the changes. It took no more than 10 minutes and we were done. We highly recommend using this option rather than driving downtown.

We were driving to Cosanti and I wanted to stop here to check it out. My favorite part of Taliesen West is the sculpture garden with sculptures by Heloise Crista. The good thing about this location is you can see a couple of the same sculptures for free. The archer near the fountain is very memorable and I took a picture of it for a friend who visited TLW with me and he instantly remembered it.  The spire itself was draped with a blow-up elf for the holidays and it was distracting. It was originally meant for Arizona State Capitol. It's odd its just placed on a street corner though I can see why its probably the best location for it. The spires at the Marin County Civic Center and the Anderton Court Shops are integrated into his architecture and feel a lot more appropriate. Overall, it was quick free stop for FLW fans, no one else was there in the afternoon. You can see a wider breadth of the Crista Sculptures at Taliesen West and there are better FLW spires that are part of his buildings.

Frank Lloyd Wright originally designed this spire with the intention that it be installed at the Arizona capitol building, but instead, it has been mounted by an elf outside a Maggianos. Make of that what you will... I would not make a special trip to see this (we did because it is free and super weird) but fun to check out if you're already in the area. There's plenty of shopping nearby and also that Maggianos. Additionally there are some nice local sculptures from artists who studied under FLW.

This particular US Post Office location is located right inside Artie's Ace Hardware store at Tatum and Thunderbird. While it isn't The UPS Store, the prices are what you'd expect from the post office, and that's the lowest it gets. Also, now there are certain services like return receipts that can only be purchased at a post office. The post office also works with UPS, FedEx, and DHL. You can also purchase actual stamps. If you go up to the post office counter, you can see all of the specific policies and inclusions to what is included with each service and envelope. They also sell various materials to make shipping and mailing easy for everyone. The lobby and retail hours for the post office are weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM (though the website says it closes at 4 PM) and Saturdays from 9 AM to 4 PM (though the website says it closes at 12 noon). They are closed on Sunday. The last collection hours is 4 PM daily except for Sunday, and the last express pickup is 3 PM daily except for Sunday. According to the website (https://tools.usps.com/locations/details/8503200065), there are no services offered, though this is clearly not the case as they are posted at the counter to the post office. While this is not my go-to post office, it is helpful to be nearby within the Ace Hardware as an option as need be. I'd recommend it!
