Came here for a STEM night the district was hosting and there was quite the crowd. It was a Star Wars theme. They had food trucks and a few other vendors, live music and lots of local schools showcasing all their school has to offer. As you enter lots of buildings were set up with different activities to do for students young and old. Nice event to go to. Saw many friends there. Danced in front of the stage for the second half of the concert after I digested my "to go" salmon dinner I brought to the show. Such a great fun party crowd and a safe well organized atmosphere. I don't think the biggest issue is whether you can pass your classes. It's possible to read the assigned material, study for exams, and maintain good grades. But nursing education should be about more than being able to pass a test. You should be able to question whether the program is actually giving you the knowledge, skills, confidence, and clinical preparation needed to become a competent and well-prepared nurse. For me, that was the biggest concern. I was doing well academically, so my decision had nothing to do with being unable to handle the workload or difficulty of nursing school. It was about the quality of the education and the lack of support I felt I was receiving. Nursing school is already demanding, and when students are paying close to $65,000, they should not feel like they have to teach themselves everything just to get through the program. I expected a structured program with consistent communication, accessible faculty, and a strong support system. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. A lot of the learning felt like being given a textbook and being expected to teach yourself the material. Even in lab, there was not always a clear or structured approach to teaching the skills. At times, it felt as though students were expected to already have a certain level of knowledge or experience rather than being properly taught and guided through the material. Even asking questions could feel difficult, which made it harder to build confidence and actually understand what we were supposed to be learning. For a program preparing students to care for real patients, I expected much more hands-on instruction, guidance, and support. The overall structure of the program was also frustrating because the faculty are very unorganized in what they communicate to students regarding policies, class rules, expectations, etc. Even the textbooks used across different courses could present important clinical information differently, which can become confusing and conflicting when you are trying to develop a consistent understanding of information that is critical to assessing and caring for actual patients. Going into the program, I understood that it was a hybrid structure; however, when I took a campus tour and specifically asked about the format, I was told that we would be in class at least three to four times a week for classes, not just for labs and exams. Other students had been given the same impression and were also surprised by the actual structure of the program. It felt like a completely asynchronous program, which isn't at all ethical for nursing. The difference between what was communicated beforehand and what students actually experienced added to my concerns about the program's overall organization and transparency. Overall, my biggest concern is the quality of preparation students are actually receiving to become skillful nurses. There is a significant gap between the knowledge and skills I obtained here compared to what I have seen from students coming from other nursing programs, and that difference is concerning when the end goal is to provide safe, competent patient care. There are many other horrible reviews about this program that I wish I had seen before committing. The amazing and rewarding feeling of getting into a nursing program with a challenging acceptance rate disappears once you experience its structure.

I am enrolled in the VA Program at ACHT, and I am completely in awe with it. My instructor, Ms. Shaina Neilson, is both well-versed in large animals like equines and small animals such as dogs and cats. She is also super helpful and understanding. She have a fair expectation for her students which aren't too outrageous or unmotivatingly lackluster. Every Tuesday, lab would be in session and to be honest, it's really cool. I love the hands on activities in this course and it's the best way to learn.

She was always there for us students when we needed help, she thoroughly explained everything and did not make us feel in any way that we were not getting the attention we deserved. While maintaining so many different positions in the school she balanced it all very gracefully and kept all of us in the loop of what was going on, and where we needed to be in order to pass the right module and prepare for next upcoming ones as well. Though CCU is not your traditional college, it definitely has its place in further education. It is super convenient for someone like me who works full-time+, on top of having a two kid family. I was referred to CCU by a former student because I had limited time to complete my degree for an upcoming LT promotional opportunity and their self-paced program was perfect for me. The price was very reasonable too. If you're like me, 25 years into your career and just need that BA/BS degree to promote, this is your best choice. Education Like I said, the timing and class structure are convenient, but it is by no means easy. You still have to read, pay attention, write a lot, and pass the exams. I'm a good writer for the most part, but I did have a couple of papers failed/kicked back because I rushed through them (the feedback from the professor was spot on). So, no you can't just submit anything and pass. It's open book, but still challenging. I actually learned quite a bit at my old age! Staff 5 star staff, you won't convince me otherwise. Debbie during the admissions process, and Taylor my student advisor during my coursework, were outstanding. Communicated often, answered promptly, and were just nice helpful people all around. They didn't just be nice to get me to sign for the money part then leave me out to dry. In fact, the promotional opportunity I talked about came unexpected early, and I needed an unlikely miracle favor. Taylor and each one of my professors were EXTREMELY quick and helpful, and made sure my miracle came true. I have nothing but outstanding things to say about CCU. I was nervous at first because I hadn't been in a school setting for almost 20 years, but the instructor Mr. Baybay was excellent. I work part-time as a CNA in a Skilled Nursing Facility and felt fully prepared to do my job thanks to the instruction I've received at NDCI. I compared tuition prices with other schools and feel that the prices are reasonable. They also have installment plans available. In fact, I'll be returning soon to take a class to become a Restorative Nurse Aide (RNA). They also have an LVN program (Part-time and Full-time). I would take that class as well, but I'm working towards becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) instead. The support staff are helpful in answering questions and assisting with the enrollment process.
