They truly offer a quality education to our community and the campus is so classic and beautiful with many historical buildings. They are currently under some construction but I'm excited to see all the new buildings and renovations that are in the works. Come to find out, my physical textbook didn't correspond to the online textbook. Paragraphs were missing in each chapter, or data statistics were not the same. The textbook was sold to me was published in 2022 and the online textbook was published in 2024. I scratch notes and make highlights physically into my book to help me study information l, hence why I purchased the textbook. When attempting to fill in information that was missing, it became ok much to do in each chapter. I informed my professor that I am getting chapter questions incorrect due to questions being asked that were not in my physical textbook. My professor's response was "...printed textbooks are published every 3 to 4 years. By the time it gets to print what was written is 9 months old before the actual publish date... Unfortunately, we cannot stop the world from changing." Is this something where I say "you're right Professor. What was I thinking?" Why do I spend money on outdated material? It appears that the material is sold at the Fullerton College bookstore because the professor approved it. I ask again, why do I have an outdated textbook that was sold to me by the school?

The parking services are terrible and treat freshman horrible! I got a total of 5 parking tickets and appealed them all and found out I was in the right of way and it was there mistake! There is a giant park 8 minutes away from campus that is perfect for a picnic, a stroll, or an exercise. I like that this school has more school spirit than some others and they try really hard to spread that Titan Pride with beginning of the semester campus events. Parking has never been a situation for me because of how early my classes were; however, it does get hectic around noon. My experience with the financial aid office as okay. They aren't the fastest and don't even try to call them. They're too busy helping out people in person. You are better off driving back to campus in-person to get assistance with any financial aid problems, which is not ideal if you live 30+ minutes away.

Professors within these departments teach drastically different content and expectations for what are supposed to be standardized courses. The curriculum hasn't been updated in years--circa 2005--and it shows. Policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are inconsistently enforced. Transferring is an entirely separate headache: departments pass off responsibilities to each other, and overwhelmed, underpaid staff members without adequate knowledge leave students to pay the price. There are other schools better equipped to help students meet today's challenges and develop practical life skills. And while this institution promotes a Christian identity, it often feels like it only scratches the surface--leaning more toward spiritual bypass than genuine transformation. Bottom line? You deserve better. Keep looking.

Public safety is also really wonderful with you and they're really caring. One of the Public Safety officers was comforting me when I was taken to the hospital on a suicide attempt at 18. This place also has an annual event called Take Back the Night where survivors of sexual assault speak out at the Fish Interfaith Center. Speaking of the Fish Interfaith Center, this place is also incredibly inclusive to people from different religious backgrounds. This place celebrates religious holidays for students from different religions. I find that really nice. I also love how this place allows people, who aren't Chapman students or staff, to come to this place. I met an older man who wanted to know how to find this place for an Iftar dinner. I showed him where it was and he went in here, and he got the food. This place has also been really wonderful to me when I was a victim of financial sextortion at 18. I met a lot of people who were amazing and kind to me after I shared with them about my experience. I had a case manager who comforted me when I was going through the trauma of this. I also had a professor who comforted me and told me that financial sextortion wasn't my fault at all. The 4th floor on the Argyos Forum is a great place for career fairs, and a great place to meet with potential employers. I got a chance to meet with a Secret Service employer who was such a wonderful man. This place also has wonderful areas to take your graduation photos from. In fact, if you come here during the months of April to mid-May, you'll find lots of graduating students posing for photographers.
