Excellent low-cost vocational education open to all. I took EMT training here. Very well done.

My professors are transparent and amazing. One of my professors, Dr. Tapia, helped me emotionally and psychologically when I told him that I was in a very traumatic incident almost three years ago. He was very understanding. But you guys need to address the whole cat-killing scandal. It's unacceptable to have people killing cats.

I was considering attending Cypress College, but after learning what's happening to the community…read morecats on campus, I cannot support this school. Simon, a small campus cat, was allegedly struck with a rake by a Cypress College employee. He suffered severe neck and spine injuries and had to be put down. How do you do that to a defenseless animal just trying to survive? Craig Lee, Director of Campus Security, oversees the area where people leave water for the cats. Yet those water sources are repeatedly destroyed. Dr. Scott Thayer has claimed the school provides water for the cats, but that's simply not true. Community members are constantly rushing to bring water because the cats are left without it. Between 2023 and 2024, the campus cat population dropped from 26 to 23. That means three cats are unaccounted for. Where did they go? What happened to them, Dr. Thayer? These are living beings--deserving of answers and transparency. There are also serious allegations that employee Tim Noriega has trapped cats with the intent to kill them. If you have any knowledge of animal abuse at Cypress College, please report it to law enforcement. And if you work at the school and face retaliation for speaking out, document everything and contact an employment law attorney. Simon's story is heartbreaking, and the disappearance of other cats raises grave concerns. Students deserve to attend a college where animals are treated humanely and accountability matters. Until Cypress College addresses this, I cannot recommend it.

There is a giant park 8 minutes away from campus that is perfect for a picnic, a stroll, or an exercise. I like that this school has more school spirit than some others and they try really hard to spread that Titan Pride with beginning of the semester campus events. Parking has never been a situation for me because of how early my classes were; however, it does get hectic around noon. My experience with the financial aid office as okay. They aren't the fastest and don't even try to call them. They're too busy helping out people in person. You are better off driving back to campus in-person to get assistance with any financial aid problems, which is not ideal if you live 30+ minutes away.

A huge shoutout to our program director, Dr. Vu, who went above and beyond to make sure we were prepared for the NBCOT. You can tell she genuinely cares about her students' success and puts in the effort to guide and support everyone throughout the program. All of my professors also played a big role in my journey. Professor Estoque had this really warm, motherly/older sister kind of energy that made you feel supported and comfortable, especially during stressful times. Professor Hintay had a calm and steady presence that made the class feel grounded. She explained things clearly and helped break down more complex topics in a way that felt manageable. Dr. Lim was kind but pushed us to really understand the material on a deeper level, which made a big difference in our learning. Professor Oh was newer to the program, but you could really see the effort he put into improving and growing as an instructor. Professor Son was fun and funny but she also challenged us in a good way. She held us to a high standard, but it ultimately helped us become more confident and prepared. She took on both roles as our instructor and fieldwork coordinator, and she handled both incredibly well. She was organized, supportive, and played a big role in helping us transition into our clinical experiences. All the professors were knowledgeable, supportive, and always willing to help when things got tough. You can really feel that they want you to succeed, not just pass. One of the best parts of my experience was the friendships I made and the extra activities we got to be a part of. Whether it was volunteering or just participating in school events, those moments made everything more fun and created memories I'll always carry with me. Overall, I'm grateful for my experience at ACC. Going back to school was one of the best decisions I made, and I feel confident stepping into my career as a COTA because of the foundation I built here.

Yelp Review 2024 #93:…read more I've never heard of Trident University before but somehow they showed up on my credit report for sending me to collections! How can I enroll at a school I didn't even know exists??? I already have 2 degrees and getting a third one was not even a thought that crossed my mind. I, of course, had to dig and find out what this was about. They're an online school and all of my employers do not honor online degrees so, there's absolutely no reason for me to visit their website until I found out somebody stole my identity but with a different mailing and e-mail address. I contacted the collections agency they used and Trident University Ombudsman, Brandie Riegle who told me to file a police report and fill out forms to prove my identity. Obviously, they don't collect transcripts from applicants and only care about having them pay for tuition. It seems like their admissions process is backwards. Now, I had to go out of my way to prove who I am?! I reported the incident to the police and to FTC and sent Brandie Riegle the paperwork she asked from me but I never heard back from her. I've emailed her and left her voice messages multiple times. THIS IS A BIG SCAM!

Love this University and refer everyone I know to it.

When it comes to communication between teachers and students, it hasn't been very consistent. One instructor will say one thing, while another says something different, which makes it confusing. The grading is also inconsistent, as each instructor seems to grade differently. At the beginning of the semester, we weren't given a clear rubric for how we would be graded. Now that we are close to graduating, points are being taken off for very small details that were never emphasized before. For example, labeling the cups for the products we use--this is now required in abbreviation form, but we were never taught how to do that earlier in the program. Usually, the dispensary person would take care of that. I hope the program can become more organized, with clear expectations for both day and night classes. Right now, it feels like the night class does not receive as much attention or support. Overall, I hope things improve. However, if I had the chance to choose again, I would consider a different school because I don't feel like I learned everything I needed to know.

Come to find out, my physical textbook didn't correspond to the online textbook. Paragraphs were missing in each chapter, or data statistics were not the same. I scratch notes and make highlights physically into my book to help me study information l, hence why I purchased the textbook. When attempting to fill in information that was missing, it became ok much to do in each chapter. I informed my professor that I am getting chapter questions incorrect due to questions being asked that were not in my physical textbook. My professor's response was "...printed textbooks are published every 3 to 4 years. By the time it gets to print what was written is 9 months old before the actual publish date... Unfortunately, we cannot stop the world from changing." Is this something where I say "you're right Professor. What was I thinking?" Why do I spend money on outdated material? It appears that the material is sold at the Fullerton College bookstore because the professor approved it. I ask again, why do I have an outdated textbook that was sold to me by the school?
