Visiting from Hawaii!…read more This gift shop is a must for anyone visiting Minnesota! They have a great selection to choose from. You're bound to find something for everyone back home. Magnets, chocolates, photo frames, post cards, cards, puzzles, clothing, tumblers.... The list goes on. Minneso-tah.... I'm gonna give you guys a high five on the Spam merchandise! That just made me feel a little bit at home. Thank you for having that here hehe. It was a pleasant surprise. If you read this, treat yourself to a spam musubi. You'll love it. I bought a bunch of awesome things here! It was hard for me to let go of the things I bought and give them to family and friends. I wanted so desperately to keep everything for myself! So many cute and cool things! Maybe I'll pretend I didn't buy any souvenirs for anyone and hide them in my closet... Mwahaha Btw we loved the employee who helped us that day. Young, tall, handsome gentleman with curly hair. He was sweet and helpful! I learned a new life lesson: When in MN, do not refer to casserole as casserole. It's hotdish!

From getting some chili mix and Minnesota wild rice soup mix for my parents to a t-shirt for my nephew and a glazed coffee mug for my grandma. So glad I stopped here before flying home for the holidays. Everyone loved the gifts and also picked up a scarf that was the perfect price and really high quality. Have to come back for other gifts and just see what they have new in stock.

My trip to…read moreMinnesota thus far has consistently of getting lost in Downtown Minneapolis and visiting Mall of America, so I haven't seen really any of the abundant wildlife that the state holds. However, it seems like the gifts in this shop pay a fair homage to it. In addition to having gifts, they also had Minnesota snacks and other trinkets that hail from the state. My purchases consisted of two fridge magnets, some postcards, and two masks, all of which ran me $30, which seems to be right in between steep and reasonable.

Opal has always been amazingly pleasant every time I've come in; it's clear they take pride in customer service interactions being the best they can be. They also suggested a new recipe I could try for steak and maple sugar?! Heck yes!

On their web site they are listed as Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. (NOTE: Closed Sunday and Monday). As tourists staying in M'polis for a week we tried to visit this visitor center twice, but it was closed. The third time was a charm, but that was already halfway through our trip. It would have been nice to have been able to visit at the beginning of our stay when we needed information. We also found their 10-4 hours a little inconvenient as we like to get up and out early while on vacation. Besides that, the staff were very friendly and the store/info center is nicely appointed, if a little sparse. They do sell postcards if you're looking for some. Located near the Nicollet Metro station.

They sell souvenirs - including some from local artists. But the tourist information with maps of the metro, downtown, and tour info was what I needed. Midtown Global Market has been such a staple in my life. It does such a good job of having food options from so many cultures and parts of the world. The food is reasonably priced and the workers are all so kind and knowledgable. Beyond just food, there is a huge selection of art, groceries, clothing, and more. MGM has always felt like the ideal of what Minneapolis is and can be. I am sad to see a lot of booths closed right now. My heart aches for my neighbors and community. I hope (and know) that MGM can bounce back and continue to be a place of diverse community. Love MGM always.

Seems like they are trying to bring people back by hosting more events (they've always had events but really pushing for the community to out). They still have some decent food options. Sad about Slice closing before I had to a chance to check them out. Still a few shops and produce vendors. I was born and raised for a bit in South Mpls and I find this area to be a bit challenging sometimes especially with them narrowing Lake Street down to single lanes. Makes me avoid the area as a whole. Definitely not MGM fault but generally unfortunate. You do have to pay for parking, ramp or metered. Or you could be lucky and find a spot around the neighborhood and walk over.

It's not the place for budget shoppers, but if you're a fan, it's a great little slice of musical history right in the airport. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you have time to appreciate Prince's legacy before catching your flight. Video Review will be posted on Tik Tok and Instagram soon @Foxyappetite In depth review: During my long layover at MSP on my way home to Montreal, I couldn't resist checking out the Prince Store, especially as a fan of his music. Situated in Concourse F, the store is a tribute to the legendary artist, and it's clear they've done a great job of curating a space that feels both celebratory and fitting for an airport. It's small, but packed with Prince memorabilia that instantly transports you into his world. The selection is impressive--everything from classic albums, vinyl records, and books to exclusive merchandise like t-shirts, hats, and even a few more niche items like limited-edition posters. For any Prince fan, this is a must-stop. The quality of the products is solid, and you can tell that the store carefully chooses items that pay homage to his iconic style, from his signature purple hue to his funky logo designs. I picked up a t-shirt and a collectible item, both of which felt like genuine keepsakes. The prices are typical for airport shops--higher than you'd find at a regular store, but considering it's a Prince-specific store, you're paying a bit of a premium for exclusivity. Still, for true fans, it's worth it to have a unique piece of memorabilia to bring home. Customer service is friendly, though there's not much interaction beyond checking out. It's a smaller, more specialized space, so it's pretty hands-off, which works given the nature of the shop.
