Legends of the North - Dark chocolate with orange and a Minnesota nice sticker

I'm glad that I didn't make any effort. It's now called Legends of the North. In the past, the previous versions of the store sold strictly Minnesota sports team merchandise (Gophers, Wild, Twins, and Timberwolves) and Minnesota-branded apparel. This store still covers them, along with Minnesota United FC, and locally made truffles and chocolates. The sales merchandise is at the back, on the left when you enter the store. I saw a nice Wild sweatshirt that felt so cozy, but I don't need any more Wild apparel. I have a nice collection these days. I liked the Minnesota-themed stickers and I got a Minnesota nice one. I also got a small bar of dark chocolate with orange. The woman at the checkout was reserved, but nice when I talked to her. I paid for my items with a debit card. I tapped and all was good. She put my two items in a paper bag. I wished her a nice evening. She reciprocated. With my flight being delayed, I managed to devour the chocolate. I love dark chocolate. This one was at 70%, which was perfect. There was a bar at 90%, which would have been bitter, even for me. The orange flavour was subtle. It worked nicely. I'm not sure where I'm going to place my Minnesota sticker yet. I may have to return for more goodies. (451)

I am a frequent shopper at Madewell, a few times a month to be exact. I recently went into the Mall…read moreof America store to exchange a jacket that had a part of it rip off. I had only worn the jacket about 3 times because I had just moved from Southern California. When I originally purchased the jacket two weeks prior it was 20% off, the jacket was now 40% off. When I asked if I could completely return the jacket and re buy it so I could get the extra discount I was told no. Not only was I told no but the reasoning was because I may have destroyed the jacket on PURPOSE to get a discount. Come to find out, this woman is one of the store managers. Her name is Madeline, according to my receipt. I am baffled that this is how customers are treated, as the store where I typically shop in California is full of a bunch of wonderful employees. Out of curiosity, I drove over to the Edina store to see if this was typical protocol for Madewell stores in this area. I had a very pleasant experience there and will continue to do all my Madewell shopping at the Edina location. I had a really nice woman by the name of Ariana help me out. She was extremely helpful and very sweet! The Bloomington store could have had another loyal customer had they not accused me of purposely destroying a product. If you want people to spend money at your store it's best to treat them with respect!

I love this store…read more I do prefer shopping online for this store because it is always super packed in there and it feels as if there is never enough staff or changing rooms. If you need to go here to try things on (especially on the weekend) but forget about it. You will be waiting forever and if you need a different size it will take the staff forever to get it for you. The variety is good, the stock is good. In general, Aritzia clothing is amazing and I love it always, of course, it is a lil more on the expensive side, but in reality, you get what you pay for. I would rathe go to a different location than this one if I am being honest just because of how crowded it always seems to be.

We go on the 10th to check, and they say the jacket is getting to the store that day and they can ship it to our home. We say awesome and leave. Fastforward to now, jan 29. Still no jacket, no tracking numbers, no call or communication from the store. We call and they explain that it has not arrived to the store and we can purchase another one or wait until the other one is delivered. Even-though three weeks prior someone at the store said that it was arriving that day. Not sure how a company doesn't have tracking numbers for their products their customers spend $300+ on, nor have the decency to call, message or email their customers. And unfortunately through all of our interactions everyone we talk to who works at the store has the most snobby, stuck up attitudes. If we ever get the jacket we will be returning it and refunding.

On Tuesday, I had some time to kill at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. I knew it when…read moreI had reached the Air Canada check-in counter and a man ahead of me started cursing that the flight to Toronto was delayed. I'm so used to delays on Air Canada. It's sadly as predictable as the sun rising and setting. After grabbing a late lunch at Leeann Chin, I decided to explore Lindbergh (terminal 1), specifically the area right of security. I found Loring Park Essentials. I headed inside the store. I had nothing better to do. Loring Park is a neighbourhood in Minneapolis. It's mainly residential, with a lot of parks, a huge lake, and walking and cycling paths. The Minneapolis Convention Center is also in this area. So, what are essentials for this area? I'm not sure if chocolate bars and hoodies are must-have items, but you can get them here. This store has Twin Cities souvenirs and products if you need to get a Minnesota gift for a special recipient in your life before you jet off. It is also a convenience store. If you're hungry or thirsty, you can purchase snacks and drinks. As much as I loved the t-shirt that said, "But first, hotdish," I was here for snacks. Sidenote: A hotdish is the Minnesotan term for a casserole. I love popcorn. No, really. I LOVE popcorn. This store has Annie B's popcorn that hails from Saint Paul. The challenge was trying to decide what flavour to get. I went with the original caramel popcorn. I paid at the counter. I had a man who was friendly, but seemed a little out of it. He helped with my transaction. I paid with a credit card. Done! I thanked him and happily left with my bag of popcorn. As I sat at the gate, waiting to board, I ripped open the bag and had some. Wow! The caramel was flavourful and tasted rich, but wasn't exceptionally sugary. The popcorn was perfect. I loved it. I now know where to get some local popcorn at the airport. I'm glad that I visited this store. (289)
