I cut through Kohl's to get there. It may have been the first time that I have visited a Kohl's and didn't buy a thing. I probably shopped so such at various Kohl's stores throughout the Twin Cities on this vacation that I was good by the time I hit this store. I like when Kohl's is attached to a mall. You can enter and exit the store without going through the mall. This store does not have a built-in Sephora. However, it does have a number of strengths. I like the clearance section for women's clothing. It is next to the Croft & Barrow clothing. The clearance section has some decent deals if you enjoy finding gems and heavily reduced prices. I am such a fan of small kitchen appliances. I spent quite some time looking at the PowerXL stuffed wafflizer. You can stuff waffles with whatever fillings you'd like. It looked insane, but it intrigued me. The Hallmark section is a staple at all Kohl's stores. This one is no different. Valentine's Day merchandise was out in early January, featuring Snoopy. I didn't really need another puffy coat or jacket. This store had long, light puffy coats that looked nice. It would have been cool if each one had a two-way zipper on it. I feel that my expectations were set way too high here. Kohl's tends to have sales all the time. The deals are great, including the ones at this store when I was there. Curbside pickup is also available. You head over to customer service to fetch your order. It's a clean store. I enjoyed browsing around. Whenever I'm back in Maplewood, I'd drop by this store again and perhaps buy something before I hit FYE! (37)

They wont refund the shipping and expect you to pay shipping twice even though its their fault they dont have inventory. I will never shop there again and will tell everyone I know as well as reported to BBB. I ended up returning whole order of $153

I had the marvelous task last month of finding a special Art & Crafts project to do for a weekend Crafts event in upstate Minnesota. I picked creating a giant sugar skull on thin etched wood using brightly colored felt, acrylic paints and sparkle complete w hand created Mexican flowers. SUCH fun! I found unique mounting foundations to hot glue my piece on -- tin that was created with a deep wave which i spray painted in black with a ramie hanger. 50 cent pieces of thick wonderful felt, a huge selection throughout the store of fine scissors, Joanne brand hot glue gun at an excellent price performing perfectly. I also fell in love with their carefully thought out selections of BEAUTIFUL delicate naturally colored artificial flowers, holiday decorations to craft, hang, their artist supplies to draw paint, and of course their great selection of textiles. My 92-year-old " speedy gonzalez" mom in San Diego gifted me her beautiful sewing machine..... so of course i am SERIOUSLY considering taking sewing courses here! Enjoy!

We were told one piece of our couch needed to be ordered so we had to wait a few weeks for the delivery. When they came to deliver the couch they had one wrong piece so we were left with only part of a couch. I have called customer service multiple times, no one ever reached out to us to fix the issue. They told me the couch piece was mislabeled and the one we need is on back order. I have not been told a clear date for when we can expect the couch and no one has has worked with us to solve the issue. I was hoping for at least an expected date or promise that we would be the first delivery stop. Very disappointed that no one has been helpful or accommodating and that I have had to call them multiple times. It has now been a month and we only have part of a couch sitting in our living room.

She gives you her time and day, unlike other salespeople who try to juggle multiple customers at the same time.  I called checking if they had a piece I was interested in and if it went with another item I had previously bought from Ashley Furniture - when I arrived, she put the two pieces together so I can visualize.  I cannot say enough good things about Aimee and this location. All the items I was interested in were in-stock AND shipped literally the following week. No ridiculous wait times like their online site and other Ashley Furniture locations.  Any issues with the furniture were promptly addressed. Definitely coming back to Ashley Furniture - Maplewood for more furnishings.  Thanks Aimee for the 5-star customer service!

During our visit, the sales representative informed me that I had a 30-day return policy for the bed. However, he failed to provide specific details about the refund process. I figured it was for the whole kit and caboodle. The agreement I signed did mention certain exclusions, but these were noted in a separate paragraph and the salesperson never mentioned them at all. Being dissatisfied, called to return the bed. Was told only the mattress could be returned. In essence, I spent over $6,000 but will only receive a refund of $2,000 for the mattress. I eat $4,000 and have to keep the headboard and frame. This practice is deeply unsatisfactory and deceptive, comparable to tactics employed by car salesmen. How the hell do they sleep at night? ASK AND READ BEFORE YOU SIGN

They pick and choose the reviews for their own website, so no surprise! We purchased a sleep number bed on 11/14/20. Said Jay W assured us that we could try the bed for 90 days & return, if not comfortable. Additionally, he stressed that "you can even extend to 100 days" and made the return process sound easy. After nearly an hour, we purchased the bed for $5600 ($2400 mattress, $3200 adjustable base). But when we tried to return the bed as it wasn't working out (center of mattress is higher and slopes to the edge) we were told that the $3200 base was non-returnable. Apparently, this disclaimer was buried in the receipt (meeting the requirement of bold-faced type, etc.) In the past, when purchasing a "no return" item, I have ALWAYS experienced the courtesy of a quick verbal mention, even with a $2 item. However, no such care was taken with this several thousand dollar purchase. No mention of this VERY COSTLY & IMPORTANT policy. Who would have believed that "you can return the bed" meant "you can only return the mattress, not really the whole bed & you will be stuck with the base!" I think a more accurate description would have been "you may exchange the mattress." Words have meaning! Bed does not equal mattress only. Obviously, this is a sales ploy to make sure you stick with a sleep number bed one way or the other. Who would take a $3200 loss and just return the mattress? After calling the Maplewood store manager Julio R & corporate Customer Service, we were simply admonished for not reading the receipt thoroughly. While the purchase may be a legal contract, it was not entered in good faith with all parties involved. I don't want to claim fraud, but at a minimum, we were misled. 1. Misled regarding the definition of a "bed." 2. Misled that the return process would be easy. Positive facets such as extension of return period highlighted but a policy that may potentially hurt the sale was NOT mentioned, & perhaps, veiled, as Jay quickly scrolled through the receipt on his iPad as he hurried us through the sale. This company utilizes deceptive and misleading sales tactics. Once you make the purchase, you are stuck with it! RESPONSE TO REPLY BELOW: Yes, I get the whole legal thing. But as you astutely pointed out, you "can't say for certain what may or may not have been stated at the time of the sale." And that, indeed, is the problem. Your sales staff need to better trained to be more consistent AND have the courtesy to point out important aspects of the return policy. You are welcome to have whatever return policy you want. Just be straightforward and clarify - not just have us click boxes or initial during a hurried sales process. (My experience at Macy's was quite different. The sales person made it absolutely clear, verbally, about the restocking fee with returns.) You said it yourself. If you can't be certain about what was said, it's time for the corporation to rethink and retrain. Or perhaps you don't really care as long as you are legally covered.
