I met Carla several years ago playing tennis together. I learned she had a design business, and…read morekept that in mind as we were considering redoing our master bathroom. Several years later we decided to reach out to Carla for her opinion on a redesign of our 1990's bathroom. Carla came up with a great design to maximize and enhance the space, including a jetted tub and larger shower. Working with Carla was easy and she asked great questions to make us think about what we really needed and wanted. Carla also helped us avoid costly mistakes. She came up with some great solutions for our backsplash, counters, tiles, and hardware. The trades she recommended were also very good to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend Carla to others and use her in the future for any redesign projects.

Carla spent significant time with us listening carefully, evaluating our space, answering questions, and offering suggestions. The planning process was thorough and all estimates were on point. Carla brings 30 years' experience in design and construction to the process. She worked to make us happy, but stood her ground when what we asked was not a good idea. From planning through execution, her communication was superb. Questions were answered quickly. We always knew what to expect and when subcontractors would be at our job. Her subcontractors did excellent work and were a pleasure to have in our home. Carla personally checked on each day's work, ensuring that all aspects were up to her very high standard. As with any construction project, not everything went perfectly. Carla stepped in as our advocate with suppliers, always exhibiting grace under pressure to ensure delays were minimized. Her mantra is, "There is always a solution!" Then there is the "above and beyond" aspect of working with Gemini Design Group. Carla noticed the step from the kitchen into the garage was too high thus a bit dangerous. It had always been that way so over 20 years we had become used to it. Being comfortable with picking up tools to make things right, Carla designed and built a proper step into our garage. We are grateful to have found Carla Gaeta of Gemini Design Group. You can place your trust in her to deliver a beautiful, functional kitchen, bath, or both! In fact, Gemini will be starting work on our main bathroom very soon.

What I don't understand is all the negative comments about Chester Bath & Repair on this site. All…read morewe've ever known from them is top-notch service. At first, we hired Thomas Roberts and his crew to renovate our master bathroom. My dad has disabilities and we needed to adapt the bathroom, which is small, to his needs. We had numerous meetings with Mr. Roberts on what we needed, my parents spent about 3 hours at his shop picking out tile and fixtures, and he put up so many safety bars and made the bathroom so accessible that dad, who mom and I have told not to take a shower without one of us being home, has been caught doing that numerous times. I wish I had before and after pictures to share, but CBR did a wonderful job with a small master bath. One night during the renovation we had a leak; Mr. Roberts couldn't come, but he sent one of his employees back who promptly figured out the problem and fixed it. CBR has become our around-the-house/fix-it go-to. They're not only bath and kitchen...they are everything in between. Our pool steps down to the backyard got crushed when a tree fell during a wild thunderstorm. Mom fought with the insurance company and the contractors they use until Mr. Roberts said, "We can fix those steps for you". It's a whole lot better than what used to be there in the first place (i.e. old rickety rotten wood). The last time Mr. Roberts was at the house was a Saturday morning. Yes, you read that right. Saturday. We needed some pool tiles replaced and it was the first nice morning so he decided to get some work done on a weekend. Afterwards, he and mom sat down to discuss replacing our front door, which is in desperate need, and we've been talking about it for awhile. Mom decided to bring up the kitchen microwave which has been broken for 2 years, and he promptly called a guy he knew who could help. That's the thing about Mr. Roberts...if he can't fix it he always "knows a guy". He even met my mom at a showroom to look at front doors with her and went to Home Depot with her, too! He's become a big help because of my dad's disability, putting up more bars and things around the house to make it easier for Dad to move about. Mom & I have taken up fixing things around the house, and Mr. Roberts has been helping us understand what to do...and teaching Mom how to unclog a toilet. After we conquer the front door, we are attacking the other upstairs bathroom which is an ungodly shade of brown and yellow...I can't wait! He has become our "family contractor" and I know we will have more jobs for him down the road.

I thought about Tom (Chester Bath and Repair's) Thomas Roberts, because he did some repairs in my bathroom last year and was really satisfied about the outcome so called him and responded right away. As usual, Tom answered, nice, courteous and very professional. Gave me a nice estimate and lo and behold, My kitchen and bathroom finished in a timely manner. So satisfied with the work, the cleanliness of the job. Love my new toilet and bidet. I will recommend his company in no hesitation for a repair and renovation. Thank you Tom! Be healthy and be safe. Giving him 5 stars for a job well done! See you in my next project.

Twelve years, three Children, two dogs and and a flood later some of our cabinets were in need of some touching up. So glad we used a local company who was happy to come back and help. Three doors needed refinishing. However, Rudy came and took half the kitchen so it would all match perfectly. Twenty-four hours later Rudy was back in my kitchen with the newly refinished cabinets. Great customer service!

From the second he walked into my home the man was obnoxious. I understand he is in the business of selling cabinets, but I was very specific in my initial phone call with Ellen stating that I don't need all new cabinets, but need a professional kitchen designer to tell me if an island will fit in my space and if so, to discuss options for that cabinetry. I told her that I also wanted to discuss options for either replacing or reconfiguring a pretty useless skinny kitchen cabinet to make it more useful. I was surprised that the cabinet maker even came to the appointment, as I thought it would just be Ellen. I don't necessarily have a problem with Rudy trying to steer me in the direction of purchasing all new cabinets as I am experienced enough to anticipate the typical sales pitch. I do however, have a huge problem with attitude and anger which this man exhibited tenfold. After quite vocally telling me that my cabinets were crap, I asked him then what his vision would be for the kitchen if I was to replace the cabinets. Would an island fit or should I keep the peninsula layout and purchase new extended countertops to accommodate seating? All of which would be purchased through them. He wasn't even hearing me that I was willing to entertain the idea of replacing the cabinets. Instead he just kept shouting about how he wouldn't do anything with these cabinets because although the fronts were OK, the quality was crap. So in addition to his rudeness, he doesn't even listen to the client. At one point I had to ask him to lower his voice because my son was trying to take a test downstairs and he was texting me to say that the man was too loud. Both Ellen and I had to ask him again to lower his voice because he kept shouting. And his angry response was "why, because he's sleeping?" I'll spare the details, but suffice to say that I ended up having to ask them both to leave my home. I don't know what this man's reputation is as a cabinet maker, kitchen designer etc... nor do I care. I would never ever recommend him to anyone.
