This review applies only to the Ramsey location; I cannot speak to the rest of the stores. I'd use anyone else. I've made doors. I install doors weekly. I went in with my wife last Saturday to look at wood door styles, and some salesman named Steve talked down to us the whole time. This is my wife's opinion as well, and she couldn't tell a Masonite door from a solid wood panel door. The showroom was a mess. A customer can't look at a door in there unless you have a salesman (or two; one would have to move doors while the other got one out) pulled doors to look at. One entrance to the "door gallery" (which looks like the main entrance, given the stand sign they put outside reading "Doors, Doors, Doors") was completely blocked by a door on a stand someone had shown to a previous client. A customer would have to go to what appears to be the back door to get in. Steve tried to exhibit a knowledge of architectural styles, but ran out after four. He tried and tried to convince us that we wanted a fiberglass door, despite the fact that we wanted solid wood and told him so from the onset. He tried to sell us a door we didn't want on the spot. Then, on our way out, he cornered my wife (we were out of the building, I was in the car already) and got our name and the name of our contractor. He went behind our back and emailed our contractor (he must have done an internet search to find them, because we DID NOT supply him the contact information) and told them we wanted a specific door that we did not want. He was clearly more concerned about the commission or the sale than he was about the actual product. We didn't realize this until Monday, when our contractor emailed us asking about a door in which we were completely not interested. Complete with a picture. This jackass tried to put a door on our dream home we didn't want or ask for. I don't care what their price point might be (we didn't even ask, so have no point of reference, but we wanted a door outside of the normal scope of stock door construction, so we'll end up paying a pretty penny), I would pay more to use even Home Depot to buy a door rather than North Jersey Door. We told our contractor such. And our interior designer. This business, which may be completely reputable, just lost a lot of business from one jackass salesman. read more

What an absolutely amazing experience, which is a weird thing to say about purchasing a door. We worked with Jeff who's so friendly and energetic he just gets you all pumped up about a DOOR! He came to our house to measure, give advice, and didn't even try to up-sell us when my husband asked if we should replace our deck door as well. The door was supposed to come in 3-5 weeks, was in within 2 and they installed it the next day!!!! HIGHLY recommend. read more

Highly recommended! We just had our back door installed. The guy who came to install our door did a great job! He took his time, didn't cut corners, made sure everything fit properly. He was super nice with a sense a humor, answered any questions we had and took deep pride in his work. He cleaned up afterwards and left nothing behind. Very difficult to find without a GPS. Their product lines seem to be very high end. When they said they would take their measurements if my storm door the same day, I was surprised that they showed up in the middle of a thunderstorm. Our experience was not a good one. Our condo assoc. likes to use them and recommends that you do, for approval from the board. I think someone is getting a kick back ! Chris came to measure, but we had to call several times before He would even , come to measure. It was like we were begging for him to sell us a door. He came and mesured and said no problem. The door takes 2 weeks to come. It then took 2 weeks for me to continue calling to set up installation.The installer shows up and says he can't do the job.! I had to keep calling to set up another date. Chris didn't return calls until we asked for our deposit back. The same installer came and cursed the job, and preseded to do a terrible job. Would never recommend this company to my worst enemy. read more
