I have used these people in the past and have never had an issue with them until my very last call with them. I asked them for a quick quote to replace a single pane glass (12"x12") in a door and they said it would be a minimum of over $200. I'm never using them again. They failed to complete the job and ignored my emails, texts and voicemail messages for over 2 months. I finally gave up, an still have some of the building materials that were going to be used lying around my home. We live in an apartment and do not have that much room. I can't warn anyone ENOUGH to stay away! Find absolutely anyone else to handle your window/door repairs. For the past THREE MONTHS, my landlord has attempted to schedule a time for this company to come repair a balcony door in my unit and every single time they're a no-show. When called to inquire about when I could expect them to show up (given that I had TAKEN THE DAY OFF from work) we were consistently told "just 20 more minutes!" Only to have them never show up. Stay away! A little over two years ago we ordered a replacement box window for our condo at a cost of about $ 6500.00 and paid an initial deposit of $ 3200.00. The owner, John M. is a notorious liar and cheat since he promised installation many times over a six month period. Excuses after excuses, totally unreliable, in the end the phone calls were not returned any longer and the promised refund never arrived. Had to get the police, the courts and DA's office involved and finally, about 5 month ago, after owner feeling the heat from the law, we got our refund back. Stay away from this crook! read more

I don't usually leave reviews for any company but my experience with this company was so bad I felt I had to. The glass in my storm door was broken in late July and it is now October and I am still waiting for the glass to be installed. I called to have measurements taken a few days after the glass was broken. The first appointment was missed and no call made. Rescheduled they showed up took measurements and said the glass would be three weeks to complete. Three weeks go by appointment scheduled again a no show. Reschedule for the following week. They show up with the glass go to install it and it is not cut correctly. Told they are going back to recut and will return. Never come back told the machine was unavailable. Reschedule again no show. I call told the glass broke overnight and they would order me another one. Decided enough was enough went to the shop to pick up the frame from them and it is broken. I seriously don't understand the bad reviews on this place. I can't say how amazing the service is here. The guys came and took my cracked dining toom table top and brought me a beautiful replacement just hours later. This was just weeks before Christmas. I called yesterday afternoon to set up an appointment to have them come measure my table and give me a quote for a custom glass table topper. They arrived at the earlier half of the window, gave me a quick quote, created the pattern, and DELIVERED and installed my glass topper 5 hours later!!! I realize that this might have been due to a fluke in their scheduling because I called on a day with little else planned, but I was FLOORED! I ordered a screen.They came and measured my screen.lost my order. Then claim they found my order.Were supposed to come on a Monday I waited all day they never came . When I called on Tuesday whoever answered the phone promised to come on Wednesday at 10 o'clock in the morning.When they didn't show up I called at 12 . The worst of the worst. I had a broken window and needed it fixed and did not price check first. Big mistake...they were 40%higher than anyone else. They repaired window. When I later tried to open the window it would not close. A person from Hackensack showed up and had to use a large suction device to get it closed. When asked he said I should not open again ???? I waited until after the winter to get in touch with them to repair the frame that they had not properly installed. They have lied three times in saying they would send someone and no one showed. I believe that my only recourse is to have another firm fix it and then file a small claims action. read more

I had them repair a window beginning of august which i paid for. Realized it was not repaired correctly and they needed to order a different part. Fine, i also had another window i needed repaired as well so i was going to take care of that one along with the one they did not fix correctly. I told them i needed the repairs done asap. They told me it would take a couple of weeks to get the parts which i reluctantly okd. Of course they told me they'd let me know as soon as they get the part. A few weeks go by and nothing from them. I call them and they said they still haven't received it. I told them to cancel it. 2 months later they call me and tell me the parts are coming soon. I tell him i dont want it done anymore because its too late now. He has the nerve to tell me i have to pay for the parts he ordered. What a joke. These people are crooks. One of the BEST in the business. They do all kinds of glass & mirror work. Their prices were better than another estimate I had & the workmanship was PHENOMENAL!! ++ Nice people too! I have an older 19th century home with the original wood windows. As part of the restoration process, I am in the process of removing the windows to re-paint, re-hang, & replace glass that is cracked. This place is one of the few places that has access to restoration glass (reproduction poured glass that is wavy like Victorian era). John M. did a remarkable job to cut it to fit my windows & he putty / glazed it to secure the glass to the wood window frame. This is truly an old lost art form & John M. is highly skilled. Thus far we have done 2 windows & will be dropping off more this week. This is the only place I trust in the restoration of my windows. Great people, nice work space, & accessible parking. I was overly impressed with the service and quality of the window installation they did for me. I just moved into a condo where the last owner left 2 sealed and broken A/C units in the window. The installer came on time, removed the old units, and returned a little bit later with the replacement windows. I plan to call them again soon. read more

My painters scratched my patio glass window so I had a couple glass companies come and give estimates on the repair. The first company (glass doctor) came and the guy started peeling the film on the glass and made it 10x worse and then his boss said they couldn't repair it. Hudson glass gave me a reasonable estimate to replace the glass and they did an excellent job. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I had to call back and follow up twice to see if/when the ordered glass arrived and to schedule the replacement. read more

Hudson Glass has gone Completely downhill. I Ordered 2 pieces of glass for 2 outdoor tables 6/18/14; told 3 weeks because of 7/4 Holiday. Called following week, told next week & John will call me. I called each week-told same thing & John NEVER returns messages! Then I've stopped in on 8/8/14; John not there (surprise) no one could find order or plexiglass piece I left for template (24x24). I look at John's desk & Surprise it's next to John's desk in front window. No explanation nor apology! Used to be respectable place. No more! read more

Horrible customer support!. They don't return your calls and provide random estimates!. Here is my experience... I called them to get my single pane window glass replaced and they gave me 275$ quote on Phone and told us that someone would come the day after and fix it in just one to two hours. Next day morning nobody showed up. I called multiple times and they kept on giving me random excuses. Finally someone showed up and told us that he would have to come the next day as it's late for that day and window needs to removed to fix the glass. The next day again none showed up. I again called multiple times, only this time to hear that it would cost 475$ as its double pane window. Big surprise!!! because my window has only one glass, when i told them, they changed the tone and said its insulated and glazed that's why the cost has increased!. Then i just had an eureka moment of how hopeless they are and I just hung up. read more
