It is no exaggeration to writed that CrossFit New Haven changed my life. I joined in July 2018, and…read moresaying goodbye to this gym was the saddest part of leaving New Haven in June 2019. The best part of my day was joining my buddies in the 8am class. At first, I was of course impressed by the quality of the space and equipment. But even more important than that were the skill and kindness of the coaches. These are professionals who truly care about you, not just as an athlete, but as a whole person. I always felt respected by their coaching and safe under their watchful eyes. In addition, I cannot speak highly enough of the community that this gym has fostered. They regularly hold communal events for charities and for fun. You should join CFNH tomorrow. You'll be beyond glad that you did. Thank you for everything, guys. I'll miss you terribly.

At 60, I was fairly reluctant about trying CrossFit. It can be intimidating. There are lots of…read moreyoung folks in great shape. There are also many folks in not so great shape. I have been going to this gym for 6 months now. It's an incredibly nice group of people. As long as you know your limits, it's an incredible program to get back into or maintain your shape. CrossFit gets plenty of press about injuries, etc. My response is don't push yourself being what you are capable of. Don't do an exercise if you are prone to injury or don't feel comfortable with it. At this gym, no one pushes you to do anything you don't want to. In one session, I pushed myself to do sprints. The end result was I was unable to work out for 2 weeks. I take responsibility for making a stupid decision. I have not made that mistake again. I have knee issues, so I cannot run. They are very accommodating. If there is an exercise I am concerned about, I ask for an alternative; which can be rowing or a stationary bike, etc. The instructor knows me now, of course. If she thinks I can do it, she'll ask me to try. Maureen, the usual instructor, is great. She keeps the workout moving, is very cheerful and is always engaged with the class. She's great! This location is not convenient for me, but Maureen is worth the trip. I highly recommend CrossFit and this gym in particular.

That really piqued my interest. At the time, I was working out at a big-box gym and felt stuck in the same routine without seeing great results. I reached out to Dave, scheduled a tour, and was immediately impressed -- the gym was clean, organized, and had great energy. I signed up for a two-week trial and haven't looked back since. What I love most is that every class is fully programmed for you, and there's always a coach guiding you through the workout, offering help and modifications when needed. The workouts are thoughtfully designed for all fitness levels and ages, which makes it welcoming no matter where you're starting from. They also have an intuitive member app where you can preview workouts, sign up for classes, and connect with other members -- a great added bonus. But the real standout is the community. Everyone works hard, supports each other, and genuinely has fun doing it. I've met and become friends with so many great people here. I truly can't say enough positive things about Shoreline CrossFit. If you're looking for great coaching, effective workouts, and an amazing community, this is the place.
