When we decided to leave someone stopped us on the way out and complained that we drove over a hose that was emptying soapy water across the road. They didn't identify themself so we don't know who they were. Somewhat disappointed as they clearly have a scenic location for paddling.

I'm reading these reviews and I feel like clearly none of these people have ever kayaked. It's a…read moremom & pop shop, family owned. There is a 2 lane paved road leading to the location, you do NOT need an SUV, it's a totally normal road. The driveway is very steep as are almost all driveways here as we are in the mountains. There is a large gravel road/dam that you drive across to get to their location. Yes there was some boat wake maybe 5 xs the entire trip we were passed by a boat (and it's the week of the 4th of July) no one tipped, the kids loved riding the wake. There was a nice little picnic area and we waited here for the guide approximately ten minutes as we were instructed by our confirmation text when booking. The life jackets are in good condition and hanging on a clothesline. I have no idea if they sanitize them because I didn't ask. The bathroom is a little yard barn deal with a flushing toilet and shower and it was immaculate. It does have a curtain for a door but I was completely concealed. It is different than other kayaking places because there's not much of a current my 12-year-old went and was able to paddle up and downstream without any issue. It was a nice day, reasonably priced and met our expectations. Pros Incredibly beautiful Easy to find Friendly staff Reasonably priced A bit of a workout paddling Cons Not very shaded in open water so hot Waited a bit (ten minutes) for guide A bit of a workout paddling The sign for the location is after the driveway, they could improve this (solution.... we backed up ten feet ;))

Caleb and Lily took me on my first whitewater rafting trip and completely ruined me (that's how fun…read moreand exhilarating and delightful and fun it was). If we can get our schedules worked out, I want to come back next week with my three kids (we live 3.5 hours away in Nashville, TN). I was supposed to be on my honeymoon this week, but we called off the wedding, and I couldn't get a refund on my cabin, so I went by myself. I wasn't sure what I was going to do, so I stopped in at the Cooperhill Brewery the night that I arrived & met Caleb, my guide. He said to contact Raft1 and book a raft for Thursday or Friday and ask for him as my guide. There was only one other person in my group who was rafting solo, so I actually ended up in a four-person raft with two guides. Lily was the perfect balance to Caleb and helped me feel confident. I just followed her lead, did what she did, and we had the best time. Caleb was the perfect guide. He's a great storyteller. He obviously has a great sense of adventure, but he was also concerned for our safety. He kept us laughing, too. After my raft experience, I did a zip line tour with Jamie and Weston. (Sorry, Jamie, for slamming into you on one of the zips!) Weston and Jamie were fantastic guides. They seemed genuinely interested in helping me have a positive experience, being concerned for my safety but also helping to stretch me to do things that seemed terrifying at first (you know, like jumping off of a perfectly good platform). I can't recommend Raft1 highly enough. I wished I lived closer so I could come back more often! I loved every minute!

Noah "Ribbit" was amazing! Super energetic and friendly. So glad we got him as our guide. This was…read moreour best water rafting experience so far.
