They supply the yaks, paddles, and life jackets (required). It's a good time. The guides will educated you on the bats, Lake Nickajack, and the history of the area. It's around a 3 mile paddle total at a leisurely pace. The bats. Basically, at bat time, you'll float around near the bat cave until the bats start to sweep out. It's a spectacle. Lots of bats, most of them flying close to the water. Nice. Do it. It's worth it.

They answered every question quickly and efficiently. Our know-it-all guide Gage made sure to tolerate our incessant laughing and foul language. He made us feel safe and made sure we enjoyed every inch of the ride. Fear not: There are outdoor bathrooms and changing rooms. Pro tips: SUNSCREEN! Opt for dry-fit over cotton...trust me. You will have to carry the raft (standard practice) so be prepared. No matter what, you're getting wet (like soaked!!!) so pack a complete change of cloths (shoes too friends) and we recommend a towel. Water shoes will be your best option especially if you are flying after. There are changing room but It's an outdoor adventure camp so expect to see bugs and spiders. If you are overly fastidious, take bug spray & sanitizing wipes! Make sure to leave enough time to pet two most beautiful pups in the county!

There is a 2 lane paved road leading to the location, you do NOT need an SUV, it's a totally normal road. The driveway is very steep as are almost all driveways here as we are in the mountains. There is a large gravel road/dam that you drive across to get to their location. Yes there was some boat wake maybe 5 xs the entire trip we were passed by a boat (and it's the week of the 4th of July) no one tipped, the kids loved riding the wake. There was a nice little picnic area and we waited here for the guide approximately ten minutes as we were instructed by our confirmation text when booking. The life jackets are in good condition and hanging on a clothesline. I have no idea if they sanitize them because I didn't ask. The bathroom is a little yard barn deal with a flushing toilet and shower and it was immaculate. It does have a curtain for a door but I was completely concealed. It is different than other kayaking places because there's not much of a current my 12-year-old went and was able to paddle up and downstream without any issue. It was a nice day, reasonably priced and met our expectations. My group of six was here for the weekend and we decided to book the zip line and rafting combo…read more The zip line portion was fun. We had fantastic guides - kitten kitty cat and Cierra. They were both so much fun and you can tell they truly love what they do. I've done several zip line courses in the past and this was one nice because we didn't have to do a lot of hiking; all the starts were close together so there wasn't a lot of waiting in between zips. The rafting portion was also very fun. Holden was our guide and he was so nice and knowledgeable. It was very interesting learning about the different rapids names and how they were named that. He let us decide how adventurous we wanted to be and didn't let any of us fall out the boat. Now, the rafting was cold. COLD. That's our fault for booking at the end of September. We were provided with dry tops that went over our clothes and those were nice. I wore water shoes and I'm glad I did. After the rafting you go back to the main center and there's changing rooms that also have hot showers connected to them. So it's worth bringing some body wash and a nice warm change of clothes for when you're done. They also took some cool pictures, we didn't purchase them but we should have !
