Normally, I really enjoy this place twice now I've tried to go pick up a holster. Apple Maps as well as their website stated that they would be open the day after the Fourth of July out even said they were open the day of Fourth of July. It's extremely annoying to drive 15+ minutes out of my way twice, especially passing other businesses to support this one I'm not gonna stop supporting them, but I really hope someone gets it together and starts updating their hours properly. read more

I ordered 30 round Magpul magazines from GT to be sent to my son in Nebraska. Sounds simple enough, right? But the billing address on my credit card is in California and GT informs me I can't buy 30 round magazines. I say they are going to my son in a state where they're perfectly legal, not me. Makes no difference I'm told. I "might" "possibly" "somehow" do something illegal with them from 1500 miles away. I cancelled the order and doubt I'll use them again. And I have to add it's pretty discouraging when a company you'd think would support the rights of firearms owners makes up such a cocamame policy. read more

Been here three times and all three times service was excellent and super friendly. The interior is clean and well kept. The prices vary however. Some items being a bit expensive while others are much lower than you can find online. For example, Glock magazines are about $13 cheaper than online but Magpul furniture is almost double. GT Distributors will honor GSFF vouchers. I got the Glock 19 Gen 4 for under $440. They will also replace sights for free even if you didn't purchase the sights from them. Sweet! read more

Shady, very poor communication regarding a class 3 transfer. Explained many times over what had happened. Long story is the original seller had tried to steal $4,000 from me for a gun he failed to send to my dealer. After a year and threat of felony threat prosecution the seller sent the weapon as I was leaving for military time. As I was away I looked to this business to find a way to resolve the firearm transfer. Long story is they didn't care and only after paying a hefty fee did they then agree to send to it to another transfer dealer in Texas as opposed to sending it back to the thief in Nevada. I will never conduct business with them ever again. Bottom line is I expected a call and only relieved a voicemail saying they were trying to figure out what I wanted to do and the day I called back they stayed they decided to send it back. Created more problems and almost created another year long ordeal. Very poor management, arrogance and ignorance all wrapped in one package. Very sad considering before this I was spending nearly $5000 a year there and the employees knew me on a first name basis. read more

These guys are great. They know their products. They deal with huge numbers of customers.. yet they offer cheap FFL transfers and great customer service. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other competition. I normally only visit the Austin location but due to some FFL transfer issues (from a non related seller). I had to contact the Dallas store. Twice another retailer sold me rifles that were shipped to Dallas store instead of Austin store for FFL transfer by mistake. Both times, the GT Distributors in Dallas agreed to ship and transfer the rifles to the Austin location for me. Both times they did this at NO cost to me. I even asked them to charge me so I could make the seller pay but they refused. They went out of their way at no gain to them. This is true customer service. As for the Austin store, I have had about a dozen trips to the store for purchase and many FFL transfers. They give me the same level of customer service for transfers as for buying their own products.. Even when there is a long line of customers. Excellent service. Great prices. I have a dozen friends that would back this up. Based on their service to me over the phone, I am sure the Dallas location has the same level of competence and great service.
