You felt like part of a family. Staff knew you were in pain, and they shared the same kindness, patience and understanding. Things have been very different since the staff turned over. The practice makes sure you are in and out as quickly as possible. You feel rushed. Doc says very little. His adjustments feel mechanical. He has no interest in having a conversation. He stopped listening. He goes through the motions and you're on your way. Staff is running the practice as if it's some kind of med spa. There pushing these different devices that are more like cosmetic treatments. And boy are they pushy, pacifically the one older woman on staff the billing clerk. Good luck with that one, especially if you are a female she will make sure you are rushed through your adjustment. If you aren't interested in the cosmetic procedures they're pushing as med spa treatments, expect to be treated poorly. This used to be a solid medical practice dedicated to caring for there patients. Now it feels like all Doc cares about is making money. Doc no longer cares about making people feel better. I expect more from someone who is treating me when I'm most vulnerable, when I am in pain and I am suffering. Just because I have been injured and can't afford fancy med spa treatments, I don't feel like staff should be looking down on me. We miss the old staff, and we miss the old Doc. It's a shame Doc is only interested in making money now. A once great medical practice has been ruined by vanity and greed.

She has a sure and gentle touch, and a really extensive knowledge in a field where you can easily get by with a good grasp of the basics. She's kind, she's professional, and above all, she cares. I've seen her strive to give her patients the best care possible in a range of different situations, and she always impresses me with her gentleness. Another strength of hers is to look at the big picture of what's going on with my body, so that something bugging my hip may be playing out in two or three other places that might not have been apparent at first blush. Long story short, she's skilled, she's kind, and she is extremely knowledgeable and professional. And her prices are very in line with other chiros in this area. She really did…read more Several months ago, I was putting in a 3 hour, 120 mile daily commute, plus sleeping on an old mattress with divots. My husband and I at the time did not have the money to invest in a new mattress. Most times I was sleeping on our 'less broken' couch, which was still murder on my back. Three days before Christmas of 2015, I bent down to get something out of our fridge, and I felt my lower back tighten up. By the time I got to work, I could barely walk and eventually had to be taken out of work on a stretcher due to back spasms so severe, I couldn't even move. I returned to work and to Dr. Wolk's care three weeks after the incident, and she has helped get my back back (ha) into tip top shape. I truly don't know what would have happened if it weren't for her gentle, expert guidance and care. The acupuncturists there are knowledgeable and experienced in Traditional Chinese medicine, which allows for a quick pain-free needle insertion and more time to relax during the session. They are attentive to the little bell they leave in your room and are great at adjusting needles to your comfort, so you really do get the most out of your visit! You are not assigned an acupuncturist, so do not get accustomed to any one acupuncturist (not that you'll have the chance). Also, they are a bit disorganized with noting and collecting late cancellation fees, but they don't argue about returning your money. I'm trying the cupping therapy tomorrow and a herbal oil for emotions and digestive in the near future; I'm sure it'll be amazing given how things are going thus far!

I want to be clear that I only had good experiences with Dr. Puri. I found him to be professional,…read moreknowledgeable, and extremely helpful as a medical advocate when I tore my ACL and needed extra guidance. However, I have had 10+ years to think about my experiences with Dr. Kum, which made me increasingly uncomfortable as a young 20-something woman in his care. At first, I appreciated that he wasn't afraid to really "get in there" with low back/glute massages. A lot of chiropractors and even masseuses will avoid the glutes (perhaps for good reason). However, it did feel a bit strange that this was happening in only my underwear and a thin gown, so I started wearing gym shorts for more coverage. I even asked my male boss, who was also a patient, if he experienced these intensive glute massages, and he said yes, but always over his shorts. But then there started being inner thigh massages that felt unnecessarily intimate and when I asked if it was really necessary, Dr. Kum responded that all muscles are linked and that this would be helpful for my low back issues. I believe he then asked if I would like him to avoid that area, and I said yes. At that point, I started to feel really uncomfortable and decided to stop seeing Dr. Kum because it just felt unnecessarily intrusive and inappropriate. As far as his adjustments, I always found them to be weak and unsatisfactory- he would have to try several times and often times it wouldn't release at all. His focus seemed to be much more heavily on massage, but in a way that didn't feel entirely appropriate for a chiropractor (and was a vastly different approach from Dr. Puri). Again, I've had 10+ years to think about how he made me feel, and as a now 41 year old woman with two daughters, I can undoubtedly say that the way he made me feel was not ok.

I've moved around the country quite a bit, so I've seen close to a dozen different chiropractors…read moreover the years. I would not recommend Dr. Kum, and I'll explain why. This is the only chiropractor I've ever seen who requires patients to change into a hospital gown top for every appointment, including basic adjustments. And it's a tissue thin gown, mind you. As an, ahem, shapely young woman, I felt unnecessarily exposed. The few times I saw the other chiropractor at this practice, he looked at me like I'd sprouted an extra head when I asked if I should change into the usual gown. Dr. Kum also sees patients in a large private room with the door closed. At first I appreciated the extra privacy, but I quickly became uncomfortable when he would set me up with a hot pack, laying on my back, and then sit at his desk for long stretches at a time, facing me while I was laying on the table. His back adjustments were fine, but his neck adjustments were unpleasant. He would pull, it wouldn't give, he'd say "sorry," and then this would repeat for 5-10 rounds. It felt like he was merely tugging and yanking at my neck muscles, and I never got the relief I've known from neck adjustments from other chiropractors. The absolute worst part for me, and the reason for giving one star, is that he would make strange, borderline suggestive, comments, while doing my adjustments. I kept second-guessing myself, but when it kept happening, I finally had enough and never went back. I've never experienced anything like it in a doctor's office. :(

I saw Dr. Kayla Serowik and Dr. Christine Frechette for physical therapy, and both of them were amazing. Not only did they show me the exercise to treat my issues, they also helped educate me on what I could do to prevent future injuries. On top of that, they were both incredibly patient and encouraging - therapeutic on multiple levels! I also get sports massages from Michelle Herrmann, and this has been a game changer. I have gone to a wide variety of skilled massage therapists (sports, deep tissue, Thai, etc.), and Michelle is the best, by far. Her massages are so healing and have helped my performance so much, as well as stave off potential injuries! Before going to Wellness in Motion, I really struggled to progress in any sport because I got injured so often. Now, with the amazing combination of physical therapy and sports massages, my body is healthier and stronger than it has been in over 20 years! Incredibly grateful for this place. Several of my friends have gone here as well, all with similar experiences. Most of them have gone to see Lauren Lozier, who is also amazing!

She guilts you into using all of your insurance approved visits and lectures you if you don't-- Standard practices don't do this. Our pain should not be used as her profit. My boyfriend was going to her as well. During my appointments she would bring up and ask WHY HE was not showing up to appointments. Not only is this uncomfortable but it's a HIPPA violation. The same issue I was seeing Desiree for 5 years for was fixed by another chiropractor in only 2 visits.
