The amount of jackets and inventory packed into this store, while still being able to see the items and navigate, is clearly magic. In addition to the leather jackets, they have a few absolutely stunning wool capes, in red and black. I look at them every time I am there and one day will break down and buy the red one, so perfect for th entire month of December! Or maybe the black one, perfect throughout the late fall and winter. See, that's my problem! Indecisive! There are some Aztec print capes also, which are very affordable. And shawl type collars with the same print which would make a nice contrast to any solid coat you have, and keep your neck toasty warm. There is a selection of Brighton handbags, belts and jewelry, a contrast to the other leather goods in that they are mass produced, but nice for those who like their style. Last time I stopped in the owner never greeted me, which doesn't typically bother me as I'm super independent, but she spent the entire time in the phone talking about the presidential debate. I get enough of that in the news and social media and went to Cannon Beach precisely to get away from all that noise! Clerk who I guess was the owner was hiding in her plastic corner. Never came out to assist or ask what I might be looking for. You would have to hand the yardage to her and she cuts it behind her glass/plastic partition. Not a positive nor friendly experience.

I'm not sure what most men like to buy but this store seems more like a place to get gifts for someone younger in your life than a man store. I was thinking it would have tools or hunting equipment but that's my opinion and I also don't work at The Man Store. There prices are also reasonable and that is why I keep going back to buy things. 1st experience they didn't have my jacket size to the young man helping went back into the storeroom to find my size. The 2nd time I went to by a reflective vest and once again they didn't have my size on the rack out front, so the young woman servicing me back into the storeroom to look for my size. The 3rd time I went to buy a rain jacket and once again they didn't have my size on the rack out front and this time a different young woman when back into the storeroom to find my size. The 4th time I went to buy hiking boots and was greeted by an older female employee, who immediately said let me call Sean, he is our boots whisper and Sean responded to my telling him that I needed a hiking boot for a 4 hour hike. I my surprise with any hesitation, he immediately took me to a pair of Danner lightweight waterproof ankle boots (now as I was trying on the Danner boots he mentioned other boot options, but I knew by how he immediately had taken me to the lightweight Danner boots that they were the perfect choice. The 5th time, I gave Sean a test would he try to sell me expensive insole like Astoria Shoe Fix that stretched my new boots without my permission and then tried to sell me $49.99 insoles. Sean asked me what I needed the insoles for and I told him to fill space, so he picks out a insole and when he rung up the cost to my surprise Sean had picked out insoles that only cost $10. Bravo Sean you passed the test of proving you're the best at Customer Service at M & N Workwear. Now, when I need boot related items I ask for Sean the boot whisper the 10 Star customer service person in Clatsop County. M & N Workwear, you should be Sean a bonus. My Danner lightweight boots are so awesome, I ordered from shoe covers from Amazon so I can wear them all the time by using the shoe covers to wear in the house e.g. I don't have to take them off every time I go inside the house and I usually make 5+ trips outside the home each day.(see photo of insole brand & my Danner boots) LOL, yes with shoe covers my boots replace all my slip-on shoes. LOL Invite Prayer Walk for Revival of Astoria every Monday @ 6am from Astoria Courthouse to Coastline Christian Fellowship (takes 4+hours) and then lunch at Olney Saloon (praying we get a ride home). On Monday, February 1st I met Karrie & Brian at Olney Saloon, who for 12 years have a ministry of recruiting High-schoolers to build race cars, and they offered me a ride home. PTL

(Okay, you called my bluff! Yes, we did.) Firstly, Center Diamond has a fabulous selection of fabrics and the prices are more reasonable than you'd expect. The fabric is sorted into themes and by color-- a feast for the senses! Maybe it's because I've spent most of my time at Joanns (R.I.P.) I was delightedly surprised that they carry flour sack towel fabric. It had never occurred to me to make my own kitchen towels! They have an extensive variety of tools and notions as well as fun vinyl decals to showcase one's sewing love. There's a great selection of patterns with finished samples for inspiration and several kits and a mahoosive selection of stackers, fat quarters, and jelly rolls. The staff was wonderful here! They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and fun. We bought a pattern and they even printed it out for us. My daughter and I can't wait to return! If you're a fabric crafter, do yourself a favor and stop into Center Diamond, you won't be disappointed!

There are so many goodies packed into this charming shop! I got there a bit late in the afternoon but the shopkeeper was very welcoming and encouraged me to take my time as she was doing inventory. The price of the shoes $20, nice music and lots to look at, kind folks that work there great service. The soles come out and the are like crocs but soo much cheaper. We have favorite stores to go to, when coming and gotta visit fun land, arcade, fultanos pizza, dundees for amazing gluten free clam chowder lots of big clams, Tiptons for decor and ornaments!! Get gelato or ice cream by the tiki bar, yummy drinks.

They also have some stuffed animals, books, beach towns, lots of sweatshirts and so on. Prices are reasonable as well. Perhaps the most odd thing was a case that has some inexpensive tiaras in it. The Miss Oregon pageant is held in Seaside each year and in homage to that, this shop has a little case where they have some tiaras for sale. The woman working was very helpful. My kid is in toddler clothes so I was stumped when my friend said her six year old wears small, since they all seemed to big. She helped me find the youth small which I missed. No dedicated parking here; street only.
