I especially like the separates from Italy; light, airy and so feminine. Some items are a bit pricey for my budget, but they often have a rack with items on sale. The jewelry is my favorite section and there is a lot to look at and try on! There are dozens of fun and affordable earrings! They carry a lot of Chan Lu, including the newest of her long delicately beaded necklaces and bracelets. They also carry fashion jewelry so there is something for everyone at every price. There are lots of great scarves, shawls and jackets tomstyle your outfits and always a small collection of shoes, sandles and boots. It's easy to find something for yourself or a gift for a friend, including items for children. The women who work there are all so nice, often greeting me by name. They are helpful without ever being pushy. They will assist you in finding your size and will also give you space to do your on thing. I've never once felt pressured to buy anything. When in Cannon Beach, I always have to stop at Dena's to see what's new, peruse every nook and cranny in search of the perfect find!

They have a mix of clothing, jewelry and some of the most stylish rain boots I've seen in my life. The majority of their wares come from European designers, so I was introduced to world of Ilsa Jacobsen (coats and boots) and Potluck Paris Jewelry (sparkly accessories made from recycled materials). They had a screaming good sale first thing in the morning, and were the hot spot for shoppers in town. The rest of the year, the prices are going to be a stretch for anyone on a budget. Boutique + Cannon Beach = $$.

They also have some stuffed animals, books, beach towns, lots of sweatshirts and so on. Prices are reasonable as well. Perhaps the most odd thing was a case that has some inexpensive tiaras in it. The Miss Oregon pageant is held in Seaside each year and in homage to that, this shop has a little case where they have some tiaras for sale. The woman working was very helpful. My kid is in toddler clothes so I was stumped when my friend said her six year old wears small, since they all seemed to big. She helped me find the youth small which I missed. They are always really friendly and nice in the shop, and it's just such a pleasure to wander. I honestly think my mom, sisters, and I nearly spent an hour there. If you can, time it so you can check out the Sunday Astoria Farmers market while there. Parking is not great as it's right in the middle of downtown Astoria, but that's just the nature of the beast, and worth it!

Every coastal town has the obligatory shop(s) filled with all things beachy - shells, mermaids, sea…read moreturtles, starfish, signs with slogans, lighthouses - but few rise above the level of cheap & tacky. Shorelines NW manages to be a touristy shop while providing a much better customer experience. The store is very large and well lit, the aisles are wide so you can wander and linger without feeling like you are stuck in an elevator with tons of people. Items are organized so if you aren't interested in children's toys you don't even have to walk to that area of the store. Interested in shells? Against the side wall are bins filled with shells of various shapes, types and colors. There is plenty of room to take it all in and make your selections. My grandmother always collected small shells and made jewelry with them so I spent a lot of time in this area and was happy to have the section all to myself! Of course they have the obligatory tie-dye which somehow has become synonymous with the beach, but their offerings were a step above other tie dye sweatshirts I've seen. The light blue & white was particularly nice, subtle, not too in your face. Mermaids and the beach also go hand & hand and at Shoreline, there are Mermaids of every skin tone and hair color so little girls can see themselves. Well done! They have a nice selection of affordable fashion jewelry, some in sterling, and of course many feature shells, sand dollars, flip-flops and other beachy items. Even though I'm not a tourist, I enjoy walking through the shop and looking at all of the offerings, often making a purchase.

Toys, trinkets, key chains, stuffed animals,…read moregames, refrigerator magnets, collectible shot glasses, sunglasses, some neat old-time lunch boxes, and many items that say "Long Beach, WA" on them, the best kind of souvenir. We've been in the store a couple times over the years looking for tie-die t-shirts and hoodies, of which they usually have a great selection. The day we went "finding," we didn't see a single adult size tie-die t-shirt in the whole store (we searched the whole town that day, actually) so will have to try again at some point. The real draw, in my opinion, is the selection of kites. Really good quality too. The nearby beach is the perfect place to fly them too. We usually visit tourist beach towns like Long Beach mid-week when kids are still in school so we've never had an issue with spotty customer service. So many complaints from other Yelpers makes me think you reap what you sow. Many people come in with kids making noise and running all over the place, touching everything, etc. If I were a shop owner or worker I'd get a tad perturbed too. Just saying. Will definitely be going back to Stormin Norman's next time we're in town. ZOLTAR even meets you at the door and can tell your personal fortune for a small fee.
