I've taken my SUV to them a few times... They have always treated me right and have done great work in the past. My SUV is currently at their facility now getting differential work done. I took it in Monday, and today is Wednesday... I don't have it back yet... Was told when I called this morning it would be few more days... I'm not mad, just wondering when all the work will be done... Left previous post 6 days ago... Still don't have my truck, it's still not repaired... It's not funny anymore... I have been going to North Chicago Import Autos for about 4 years. High level customer service. Very honest. Prior to taking my car to them, I was told by another auto place that I needed all this work done. When I took it to North Chicago Import Autos, they said I did not need that work done. Critical: Professionalism, Quality Took my car to be repaired because he use to do quality work and was respectful, however the last 2 times have been horrible. Chris is very rude and disrespectful and also does poor work now and doesn't remember what he tells you is wrong with your vehicle. I paid $1484.00 and my car was returned to me with the same problem, not to mention the windows that rolled down before I took it there no longer did upon receiving my car. Took car back after hours and called back the next day and told him about my car and all he was concerned about was getting the loaner car back. He called me back with new stuff wrong so he says and expected another $366 after car wasn't repaired in the first place. Came to get car checked it over before going in and once I got in the smart mouth and disrespect took place and I didn't not pay the $366 and told him he owes me an apology for returning my car in such manner after spending $1484.00 and I'm not apologizing for not paying after how he treating me, a client that spends a decent amount of money in his shop as well as 4 other family members. Won't be returning and I advise anyone who goes there check your car thoroughly. He said to me $300 won't close his shop down and my response was I'm not apologizing for my actions after the way I pd in full and my car was mishandled in a unprofessional manner. A hose in my car burst open as I was passing through North Chicago on my way to Waukegan. All the coolant had poured out, and my car was smoking a lot. I live about 45 minutes from North Chicago, so I needed a quick repair in order to get home. As fate would have it, I happened to pull over next to North Chicago Import Auto. Even though I showed up an hour before closing, they were willing to take a look at my car and repair the hose so I could get home. They also didn't charge me an arm and a leg, for which I was incredibly grateful. Glad I got stranded next to this business in a time when I needed a fix! read more

They have been in business over 50 years yet they only have a hand full of reviews that put them at a 4 1/2 stars I beg to differ! I took my BMW there 4 months ago and didn't like the fact that my bill came out to be $777 for a bunch of work that didn't have anything to do with why it stopped in the first place. When I went to pay the bill I was then told if I was paying with a credit card it would be $808.95 such BS trying to pass your cost for doing business on to your customer. My car overheated again on New Years day and lost coolant and he expects me to cover another tow so they can check it out because it could be something else I was told after previously having my car for I believe 8 days and going through it. Also, what about the blower module you replaced and now when it's cold outside my heat, defrost or blower motor does not come on even if I let idle for 30 minutes. But if I drive it to work 40 minutes away just a tint of heat flows and it will sometimes come on when I arrive at work but guess what! Too late I don't need it then! I called this morning to ask about the warranty 90 days but you want me to bring it there to get raped again after your unprofessional attitude on the phone. You're a different kind of clown you couldn't pay me to walk through those doors which by the way looks nothing light the pics on this website. If you need work done that is warranted for a year go to small car motors in Beach Park that's where I'm headed next to get it fixed and running right. These guys were a blessing today. I have a Audi A8 the compressor stop lifting the car. So I take it there and these guys replaced the passenger front strut which was leaking and come to find out the compressor was working properly. They replaced the relay and fuse which control and power compressor The relay was bad... Which saved me 1300.00 dollars. North Chicago import is the premier import shop in the Great Lakes area.
