My Dignity Chandler experience in the observation area was horrible. the cubicles resemble cells…read more The ac froze me all night. Earlier staff were heard saying "68 is plenty warm for them ". This unit temp is centrally controlled at the nursing station. The ac vent for my cubicle was directly above my bed. I was admitted with pneumonia and sepsis. Cold air pouring down on my chest and very arthretic joints caused me unrelieved pain all night. I had on a hoodie and a fleece robe over my hospital gown. Staff brought heated thin blankets. They offered brief relief until they cooled down. I complained bitterly all night about the cold. I had the covers pulled up over my nose because even my nose was freezing! When day shift arrived the caregiver told me "I felt bad for you after I got home because you were so cold." She helped me go outside to get warm in the morning AZ sun. Getting warm eased my joint pain considerably. Coming in someone from day shift said to us, "the thermostat is right here. I'll turn it up". I'm sure the night shift considered me a problem patient because I complained bitterly all night about freezing and the cold increasing my arthritis pain. Why they would put up with a complaining cranky patient rather than turn the ac to 70 is beyond me. The nurse told me "we have 20 beds and only 2 bath rooms." They wanted me to use a bedside commode. I am old but ambulate at a quick pace with walker. The only relief I had from my ice box cubicle was walking to the bathroom. For safety they accompanied me. Staff let me know it was a major inconvenience to walk with me to the bathroom. Patients, especially elderly folks, can develop blood clots from not getting. Their convenience and comfort were more important than patients welfare! I have been a patient at Dignity Mercy. I have nothing but good to say about that experience. I was also a patient at This hospital Dignity Chandler for 5 days in June with pneumonia and sepsis. No complaints only praise. Because of this horrible freezing experience and judgemental uncaring night staff in the observation area. I will do everything I can to never come here again. Marlene Hickman

The establishment was clean and the staff was attentive when asked. We did have a couple rough patches at the beginning, but after speaking to Kyle, he resolved the issue quickly. we'd like to thank Iris her case manager for helping our family with her transition home. my mom's favorite nurse I believe was Cassie (long blonde hair, pony tail?) Also to have Gabby at the front as the face of your company is awesome addition. I will give one suggestion . Being that it is a rehab I wish they would work with the patients seven days a week . On Saturday and Sunday, my mom just laid in the bed and did nothing. Also, if she wasn't in her room, the PT would skip her that day. I feel she could've left earlier if she would've had that seven day a week PT. Again, thank you Kyle, Iris, Cassie and Gabby

Food was good for hospital food. She loved the Mac-n-cheese lol. PT, OT and Speech had her up and moving everyday. Case manager was in constant communication and showed great concern for mom. She also took time to explain insurance and policies with me. Admission, front desk all were amazing. I will re-edit this to include more names but Adel, Dr Wong, Sharon, Wilshaun and many more were extremely helpful and kind. They only reason this isn't 5 star is the release information says Mom can walk 7 feet and do things she just isn't quite able to do. She is only standing a little since coming home. I wish they would have fought to keep her a little longer. But we are working on continuing her Exercises she learned there. We had a very bad experience with a skilled nursing facility I would suggest this place and acute rehab 100 times over. Dignity is full of loving, caring, dedicated people

Emblem was pivotal in helping make my 79-year-old uncle's final days with us as comfortable as…read morepossible. My uncle had been in a skilled nursing facility for a few weeks, and had declined rapidly over that time. I went to visit him on Saturday and he was clearly in misery, crying out in discomfort and unable to articulate it. At my request, the facility got Emblem involved. My only wish is that the nursing center had called them sooner. Melissa from Emblem came out right away to meet me and explain the process. Next, a wonderful nurse named Amy came to assess my uncle. She confirmed that he would be eligible for hospice services, and even though this was all happening on a Saturday, she went above and beyond and made all the necessary calls to get my uncle transferred to our home so he could pass away in peace. All of the necessary equipment was delivered (including a bed), supplies were set up, and Amy came to our home to show us how to provide the prescribed medications to help my uncle relax and feel more comfortable. The process was seamless and required minimal action on my part, so I was able to sit with my uncle and support him. Both Amy and the nurse who came on Sunday and Monday (Melanie) were two of the most caring, responsive, and knowledgeable healthcare workers we worked with throughout our journey with my uncle. Thanks to their amazing support, my uncle was able to find peace on Monday morning, at home with us rather than in a dirty and understaffed nursing facility. Emblem also assisted us with coordination of mortuary services and pickup of all medical equipment. It means so much to me that we were able to give my uncle that experience, and I will never forget what Emblem did for us.

Towards the end of her stay I was advised to send my mom to a skilled nursing facility to continue working on her recovery/therapy. I was able to get her into a place not knowing what this place was going to turned out to a horribly wrong choice. With the help of my moms health insurance I was able to call DESERT COVE NURSING CENTER thanks to Crystal (I have so much gratitude for) was able to get my mom into a room, my mom has been here for 4 days thriving tremendously, she has been treated so well here than she was at the other place acute facility. So far my mom's strength has improved we are still working on balance and able to stand/walk without needing assist with determination we will get there. Thank you Desert Cove for giving me the peace of mind that my mom is being taking care of after hours and treating her with the upmost respect. Also the food has been great housekeeping wonderful; housekeeping comes in every day once a day. In my opinion if you are needing a short term rehabilitation I highly recommend desert cove.
