I am writing an updated review for a review I left this week. The manager after seeing my review…read morehas communicated very well with me to address my issues with items I purchased. Apparently, the items were by mistake sent out without being checked over for defects. The company acknowledged this and credited me for their mistake. They did advise to always get pictures emailed before ordering from a salvage yard which will be very helpful to anyone who orders. Since I couldn't remove the rating from before , I wanted to give credit to the staff who graciously helped resolve the issues with our order. Thank you Chucks for following up and understanding our needs.

I always take the opportunity to shop online with these folks. Usually you can find a coupon code…read morefor at least 15% if not 20% off. I pre-order everything and then show up and collect my wares and move on. I'd developed (after a number of years) a relationship with the folks at the store in PA. Nice folks, fun loving and always, always willing to help. I have been in this particular store in Baltimore a number of times. I can hear then having a good old time in the back. Not one time has anyone come out front when I walked in the door, to see if I needed anything. Usually if I need something I'll stand at the counter, whistling, tapping on the counter or something to that affect to gain some attention that YES I NEED SOME HELP. There are a few employees that seem to have some slight social redeeming value. Mostly I'd have to say they're all sharing a personality with a wrench. I suggest shop online, go there get your stuff (after your obligatory nonsensical wait) and GTFO. This company should really invest in some customer service re-training classes for these folks. They are not that good at it. If your gonna accept the job for what they're paying at least play the part......fml

Don't Shop at Advance Auto Parts I am disappointed…read morein Advanced Auto Parts Customer Service then and now. When I entered the store the three visible personnel were busy trying to decide who had to wait on the customer. That should have been a red flag to me. They checked my battery. And said it was time for a new one. I chose a new battery, and at checkout they told me they don't do the free installation in my Chevrolet Silverado. Moving the overflow bottle is too complicated for their personnel. I had to have my local mechanic install the battery at my cost. The sign itself is a deceptive advertising practice. Promising Free installation in big bold letters. And then, declining that service, in very Small print. If Advance Auto did not intend to deceive the public, that is still the result. Advance Auto is selling DieHard Batteries now, and their personnel should be trained to install them. The lack of training of their personnel is a deficiency in Advance Auto Parts business model. They should be able to install batteries in most makes and models. Instead of a limited number of customer vehicles. There is also an obvious lack of unfairness in this policy I have talked to two different Advance Auto store managers and both agreed that the battery should have been installed and this mater should have been settled. Upon filing a complaint with the state Consumer Protection Advance Auto offered a Gift Card at half of what I was charged for the install. A gift card is unacceptable. I have no intention of shopping in Advance Auto Parts until this dept is paid. I recommend you proceed with caution if you have to go there . Thank You
