Our salesman Ryan was great and worked with us while we viewed many vehicles, was patient and great at explaining things and helping to meet our needs and wish list. Mel the finance guy was quick and no pressure when it came to add-ons that dealers normally try to guilt or force you to buy. Jim the sales manager was a pleasure to talk to and didn't outright reject our negotiations and expertly negotiated a sales price that was fair for everyone. Once we settled on the car we wanted this was one of my most painless and quickest car buying experiences in 35 years of driving and buying cars. I don't know what happened to these guys but we just got the very worse service ever!! Took them 2 days to do an inspection for DMV. We noticed that the running boards weren't lowering and asked them to look at it. After two days they said they didn't do anything with it because they looked at it and it was working fine. Lie. The running boards didn't lower while we were there. They never looked at it. Then they (he) said that we were walk ins and didn't have an appointment so two days wasn't enough time. Not true. We had an appointment. Then they (he) said to bring it back next week. We scheduled it and they changed the appointment date because ( he ) they said it was a lot of electrical issues to look at. So we moved it two days back. After having the car from 7:30 Til 4:00 they called to say the warranty ran out YESTERDAY!!! Do not trust these people. We used to get good service there and they used to be responsive. But they are not honest now. We will never use their service department or buy a car from them again. I don't enjoy buying cars. It's often a difficult process and I feel like I'm always two steps behind. Well, Norris Ford (and, in particular, EJ Schlesinger), made shopping for--and buying--a new car much easier and more pleasant than usual. When you start looking for a car, every dealership that gets your info reaches out and tries to sell you something. I had some criteria in mind for different models. EJ was the first to send me actual information on the cars he had or could get, and he really listened to what I wanted. We communicated--at my pace--for more than a week until I was ready to come in for a test drive. By the time I got there, I knew what I wanted. We discussed various options at the dealership and the other staff were helpful and understanding as well. When it came time to choose various warranties and options, the team listened to my thoughts and concerns and instead of trying to give me a "hard sell" on anything, talked me through the advantages and costs for everything. I ended up with what I wanted. Norris Ford isn't the closest Ford dealership to my house, but I intend to keep using them for service as well. I called an arranged for an alignment and to switch to winter wheels. Upon arrival they informed me they did not have the techs to do my alignment and could only switch over the wheels. After waiting four hours, they came to inform me they did not have a socket that could get the current wheels off. When I told the curly-haired woman who handed me back my key that I would not be back, she said "okay," and resumed chatting with her coworkers. They have so many opportunities to make this right. The fact that they allowed me to leave with an unsafe vehicle is really sad. It had a bad wheel bearing and a faulty battery along with many other issues. They sent the vehicle out to the shop that originally did the shoddy inspection to fix it. Norris Ford could do the inspections but instead sends it to an off site location to have them inspected so Norris Ford does not fall liable for the actual inspection. The vehicle is still not drivable because it shakes and rattles going down the road. Norris Ford sold me a warranty for over $4k and told me that It will cover all major parts. The warranty company they sold me sent an inspector out and told me to take it back to Norris Ford because the vehicle is unsafe and Norris Ford should have never sold me the vehicle in that condition. The warranty company said they would not cover the repairs because they were preexisting and said Norris Ford sold me the vehicle most likely knowing it needed all this work. At this time I had owned the vehicle for 5 days and driven it less than 350 miles I believe. Because Norris Ford has refused to help me even after me telling them that I saved up $6k cash to put down on the vehicle, we have 4 children, my wife doesn't work outside the home because we homeschool, and I am in the military and about to be deployed - Their answer to me was - we are not legally obligated to do more. Well that may be true. However, NORRIS FORD SHOULD FEEL ETHICALLY OBLIGATED TO DO SOMETHING. NORRIS FORD WOULD NOT TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK. After a 5 month wait (due to the chip shortage) I went to Norris Ford on Merritt Blvd. to meet Richard Posko in person (who is the Salesman I was dealing with over the phone.) Richard and I hit it off immediately. He is a low pressure knowledgeable guy with great tech skills. My reserved car wasn't there but they had just got in a new 2022 Rapid Red Escape SEL PHEV on a trade with Anderson Ford. I expressed interest and he gave me the keys for a test drive. The Escape is fantastic. Everything I was looking for in a new vehicle was included. When I got back from the test drive he made me a fair offer and got me a very good trade-in amount on my 2011 Fiesta SE Hatchback. I bought it right then and there. I like Norris. We bought our last 2 vehicles there from Bruce who has since retired (Richard got his desk). If a straight forward honest man is what you like then go see Richard Posko. I called and asked for the service manager the rude receptionist put me through to an extension of someone who no longer is there, her name was Sierra. My vehicle was taken to Norris ford for a acceleration problem and kept almost three weeks only to be given back to me saying it only needed a software update. A week after getting the vehicle back it started doing the same thing only worse. It was taken back to Norris Ford again by the dealer where they had it almost three weeks again. This time saying that they found the problem and replaced the part. I don't trust them as far as I can pick my car up and throw it, so we'll see how long it lasts this time. Just purchased a used car not even 7 days ( purchased Friday 11/10/23 and broke down 11/17/23) from this dealership and they didn't do anything to assist with this vehicle! As is and no warranty is what I hear I should have been Offered by the finance manager. I'm so Angry and Annoyed! I work two jobs. I'm a senior who purchased the vehicle to get to work this week so I would not have to walk far and the sales person tells me it should be an easy fix because it passed state inspection. A state inspection does equate a diagnostic which is what a FRANCHISE as a brand like FORD or HONDA Should do with used vehicles! Period! Now I'm stuck. A whole bunch of antifreeze in my driveway, a car running hot at 100 degrees that cannot be driven that has been in my possession less than 7 days with a loan over 11k I have to pay on a loan that can not be stopped. They try and act nice at first but all they want is your money. I came to ford for a broken head unit that had went up after 2 months of having the car, they told me it was $800 dollar to replace a fuse. Then my emeregecny brake gets stuck and they tell me its broken which I know it wasn't but still they insisted that i pay $607 to fix a ratchet. So I eventually get to paying the bill and leave it at ford and they also made me pay a diagnostic fee of $140 + the original $607 which amounts to $747. So after leaving it at ford I come back and pick it up and they tell me I can drive it home, so I do so and notice a problem...... my wheele was making a loud banging noise and was vibrating alot. So I go back to see whats wrong with it and they tell me they forgot to tighten the bolts on my wheele. In addition to that they also forgot to proprly fix my ebrake. I left my ford vehicle there on Monday and its now Friday and they still havent fixed what I've payed for. They are also telling me to come back Saturday at 6:00am and they will try to sqeeze me in. The manager needs to understand they are wrong and they need correction. Bad review after bad they still do shady things and take people's money... its not fair! So after 5 days of complaing my ebrake still doesn't work properly and my wheele could've came off while driving on the highway to work. Can't speak to purchasing a car here but avoid the service department. No, really, if you don't have time to read the full review just find another place to take your car. Period. After having an EXTREMELY bad series of experiences with another ford dealer, we are on the hunt for our next trusted car repair locale (we're serial auto repair monogamists). This was not it. Going in we needed an oil change, rotate and balance, and repair of the emergency brake line (which was, to anyone that drives a manual, very obviously snapped). We were told at the outset there would be a non-refundable $100 diagnostic fee on the brakes; this should have been a red flag to me but sadly wasn't. I went marching on with high hopes. We were told we'd be able to pick up the car in a day. When I came to pick it up (hubby had dropped off), I couldn't find the service department (there are absolutely no signs for it unless you're coming from 695), they couldn't find the keys (or the work slip), then they couldn't find the car, and ultimately they were unable to look up my ford credit account number so we couldn't pay them and didn't have time to go home and get the physical card before they closed. No loaner program so we were just screwed for another two days (cause it was a Saturday). Fast forward to Monday, car is sitting in the lot with a flat tire. We are promptly told that it was probably leaking air before the rotate and balance but since it was in the back it was a slower leak until they rotated it to the front. Later they would revise this insane claim and admit that it likely picked up a nail or screw when they were driving it out of the bay. They did a solid job on the balance (not always easy with low profile tires and a hatchback, but a month later there is still something decidedly wrong with the emergency brake...likely whatever was wrong with the system that resulted in the line snapping the first time around. So basically I paid $100 bucks for them to see that it was snapped and stop looking for any additional underlying problem. To say that I am angry would be an understatement. To say that I will never return there is the truth. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

He took the time to help me research my vehicle and even found one for me in a different state. The process was seamless. The negotiations were transparent and fair. When I bought the vehicle, Jason spent close to an hour going over all of the tech in the vehicle and even helped me pair my phone. Made an appointment online at the beginning of the week must ad you're not able to select just an oil change, only given the works option. Arrived for said appointment only to be told it couldn't be found in the system, so I state I just want a simple oil change. Nothing else. told the wait was going to be a bit so I get a ride home. Get a phone call when it's done that my WORKS oil service is complete & over $100 but lucky me they applied a $15 off coupon. They completed a works oil change which I stated I did not want them to do anything but the oil change. Now claim they could find me in the system & I asked for a works oil change. Resolution was a sharpie written business card for 1 free oil change that I'm sure won't hold its weight when the time comes for my next service. Make sure you check you papers before you leave too. DO NOT buy a car from NORRIS FORD in Dundalk. Actually, I'd stay away from Ford, altogether. I took my 2018 in for a recall with the transmission. It had 48,000 miles. They placed a refurbished trans in. I'm lucky to be alive, as my car slid across I-95 with no steering, 3 weeks later. I took it to my mechanic who discovered Norris only put "1 bolt" in the transmission. I have pics. I called them and they acted like it wasn't a big deal. The GM, Jeff, actually chuckled and said, "it couldn't have killed you!" WTF??? They initially said they "weren't sure" if they'd pay for a rental. Trust me-they did!! 2 weeks later, the car wouldn't shift AGAIN!!! Called them back again and had it towed. 2 days later they called and said there was nothing wrong with it. How stupid do they think I am??? They reset the computer to clear the maintenance indicator and then lied about it. The offered me a trade. WHAT? I'm not an idiot. I paid cash for my car-they break it and then want me to buy a new one and owe $$ plus they didn't have any Explorers to offer?? SUCH A SCAM!!! I put a claim in for a buyback with Ford Motors and they have since denied it. They said you have to have a buyback within 3 years. How can I do that when the transmission recall was after that?? SENSELESS!!! The dealership alone is full of inadequate and unskilled, rude people. Asking them to fix the car they sold me was too much to ask, I guess. It's also still under warranty. Currently, my explorer is at my mechanic and I've consulted with an attorney. It's a damn shame that this has come to this. I asked them to do the right thing. They sold me a lemon and then THINK they aren't going to be held accountable. Society needs to look up the definition of "accountability!!" After a ton of problems and months of waiting when trying to buy a new car with Apple Ford in Columbia, I got my deposit back and came here and purchased a car on the spot. The dealership made it easy and painless and I just love my car! I've brought my car back here for service and I'm always in and out very quickly. You can make appointments online or over the phone. About 2 weeks ago I had a problem with a weird noise coming from my car that ended up being a transmission issue. Norris had a loaner car waiting for me when I arrived, they took my car, and kept me updated throughout the entire repair process. I got my car back after a week or so and couldn't be happier. No charge for the loaner and the repair was quick. I've even had them wash my car and clean it and then give it back to me. They're great. If I could give Norris zero stars I would... If you don't have time to read how awful my experience is just SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND GO TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. Eric, the associate who was supposed to be coordinating fixing my car is hands down the most incompetent person I have ever interacted with. I was experiencing battery issues on my two year old Mustang and Eric promised that I would have my car back on the same day. After my car was towed to Norris Eric advised they were taking a look and would give me a call back that day which never happened. I called the next day to find out what was going on with my car and was advised that Eric was off and to call back the following week. I was advised on day 4 or 5 that my battery needed to be replaced and was ready for pick up. Later that day I received a notification from the Ford app that my battery was low again. I called Eric and let him know and was told not to worry about the notification and my car was good to go. I am no mechanic but that made ZERO sense... I ubered to pick my car up from Norris and of course it was dead... while I was at the dealership Eric misplaced my keys and couldn't even handle typing my VIN into he system to confirm my warranty info. Eric called a few days later to let me know "the new battery mustve been low and needed charged so they charged it and the car is ready for pick up" WHAT?? A new battery low on juice?!?! How does that happen?? Clearly there is a reason why the original and new battery have all died and replacing the battery is not the answer. Of course two days after I picked up my car it was dead yet again. Not only did Eric and the Norris team fail to determine what is draining the battery but the new dealership handling confirmed Norris did not even run a diagnostic test yet they had my car over TWO WEEKS!!??? This review is for the SERVICE DEPARTMENT only!!!!! Sales process was fine but beware when purchasing a vehicle with a warranty, do NOT have it serviced at this dealership. It's quite a shame. It would be convenient as a customer to find a good dealership with a fair sales department with an equally good service department but that is not the case here. I have definitely learned my lesson! You can do the research yourself and be sure you read the Yelp reviews and any other public review on this dealership's service department prior to taking your car in for work. Why can't these mechanics just be fair and honest? A little advice you will get more business if people think they can trust you. I guess this place likes to just see people walk out the door and maliciously sabotage vehicles to where they become unsafe. I will get into that later and will provide an update once I obtain a second opinion. Unfortunately my story is very similar to other stories and quite common among other public posts. It all started a month ago when the blower motor would stop working in our 2017 Ford Expedition. It was covered under warranty and was "fixed" after paying our $100 deductible. The paperwork states they replaced the blower motor. Fast forward to last week when it started to fail again and we had to kick underneath the glove box to kickstart the motor to blow the AC through the vents. Well obviously the issue was not corrected. So we took it in on a Monday and they took a look at it on Tuesday and called us on Wednesday and stated the blower motor is fine but now the resistor is failing and causing wires to melt and, you guessed it, not covered under warranty. That will cost us $630. So of course I called back and asked to speak to the manager and see if we could negotiate on a more fair price since everything was fine a month ago and how do you prove the blower wasn't installed incorrectly or even replaced at this point. To my surprise the Manager stayed they will cover the repair and it would be no charge to us. We were extremely pleased at this point and went in on Friday to pick up the truck. We were told by the Assistant Manager Stephanie Hoover that the mechanic did a thorough inspection and found that the brakes were not functioning properly and there was brake fluid leaking into the cylinder and they do not advise us to drive it. Well doesn't that just seem a little fishy to you??? And again you guessed it not covered. We also noticed a dent in the side door where it looks as though a white car door banged it. So my fiancé drove to advanced auto parts, bought brake fluid and was about to fill up the truck and Stephanie stopped him and said you know we want to do what we can to make this right. So again assuming the truck was in good hands we left it there this weekend to have the brakes repaired and she was going to have a body shop look into repairing the door. Today (Monday) we get a call from Stephanie that she spoke to the Manager, mechanic and service advisor and they are not going to cover the brakes and will not take care of the dent until the brakes are fixed. The mechanic claimed to have told us about the brakes on Wednesday when he told us about the resistor which is completely false. It was not until Friday when we attempted to pick it up that we were told of a brake problem. Bottom line is, we drove the vehicle in on a Tuesday with no brake problems just an AC blower issues that was supposed to be repaired a month ago. We could have sucked it up and continued to kick the glove box but we did pay $100 to have it fixed. We would have paid a negotiated price, not $630, for the resistor as it may or may not have been caused by the "replaced" blower, but now we are faced with a safety issue of leaking brake line which could put our family of 7 in danger when it was perfectly fine before we took it in. You can come to your own conclusions, but I will say that we are taking the truck to another mechanic to get a second opinion and depending on the outcome may be seeking legal advice on this matter if we come to the conclusion that something was maliciously damaged just to get a couple Hundred dollars out of us. We are not car experts and in no way claim to know anything about the mechanics of an automobile, but when you drive your SUV to a service department for the AC blower motor malfunction, you sure as hell don't expect to get it back with the brake pedal touching the floor and all of a sudden have a brake problem while it sat in the shop for 5 days.... oh yeah and a pretty white dent in the door... I'm not happy. I bought a ford escape 2017!!!! And the paint is peeling around windshield. Ford motor company doesn't wanna do anything about it. Heard this been happening since 2012, and they said they'll take care of it if and when it becomes a recall! I will never buy another ford again. And I advice everyone to not buy one. They don't hold up and they definitely don't give good service. 0 star rating!!! You suck ford. I'm only giving it 1 star so I can comment!!! read more

Stephanie in the service department was on point! I've called other dealers to assist with my new car, and she was not only able to get me in first thing, and I was out of there within an hour (car serviced). Earlier in the year this dealership found the car I wanted without hassle and with quickness. I've shopped at four different dealers and Zack was able to pull it off. Every request I've given this dealership they've delivered. My wife and I bought a Jeep at another dealership (we also love jeeps) and it was a complete nightmare (Heritage Parkville). I purchased my Ford in Ft worth Tx the ford dealer was AWESOME!!! THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT.. well we rolocated to the Baltimore area and since my car is still under warranty when my bluetooth was not responding to my voice (Sync) i took my car to Norris Ford.... we ll what a bad experience... between Donna the service advisor and the "Service Manager" Jimmy they wasted my time with mis diagnosing the problem i was there 3 different times each rime the issue was still Not resolved.... this is over a matter of 5weeks. I cant believe their lack of knowledge of There own cars? Like they cant even resolve a simple voice activation issue... There is NO WAY I WOULD TRUST NORRIS FORD TO DO ANY REAL MECHANIC WORK/ENGINE WORK. SHAME ON YOU NORRIS FORD.. NOW I WISH I WOULD HAVE PURCHASED ANOTHER TOYOTA I AM NOW CONSIDERING selling my ford with under 36,000 miles and buying a Toyota... They BTW HAVE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.... Very difficult to deal with. Advertised a price and after 30 minutes of discussing it with me told me its a mistake and they could not honor it. Ridiculous, any other business in customer service would honor their mistakes, not this place. You have a big choice on where to buy Fords, no need to go to bucket shops like this - avoid. read more

This was the worst dealership I've ever been to. When I walked in, no one seemed interested in helping us. I was then lied to when some guy by the door to the left said the manager was not there and I needed to come back in a hour to get my car appraised. I guess since I was BLACK they thought I didn't have the money, because once i showed him a check from my bank they suddenly got their butts out the seats to appraise my car (no manager needed) and let us see the vehicle I was interested in. Then, as he gave me the numbers he was uninterested in taking anything off sticker price to get the sell or waiving any fees. That day I came there only looking to spend 12,000, hyundai across the street talked me into a new car for 16,000. It a shame what a good salesman can talk you into. They definitely missed out on a sell from me, and I, nor anyone else I know will ever come there again. read more
