When we entered it was packed along with its sister the Bar Next door. As always we were greeted like royalty. As the owner Kiersten greets every one! Our incredible server recommended the Shrimp and andouille sausage with grits! Spicy and hot, the most delicious dish I've ever enjoyed ! Me wife had the clam chowder almost like a bisque that was out of this world. This my favorite place for a dining experience !!

Full bar and mocktails. And apps to start us off. Just sit and enjoy the view. Yes you are in the street to occasionally a big truck goes by but with the right company who cares. You see the ocean and smell the salt air. Menu is good. Vegan options and of course seafood. It's up there on price both worth it. Indoor and outdoor seating and I believe they bought the building next door with a balcony area but not 100% sure. The food was great and a lot on the plate. The tacos only come with tacos. No fries or rice or side something. Was a bit disappointed but in the end it was ok. Large portions of fish and chips. And did I mention the view. Street parking is available but can be a challenge. Do you know how to parallel park? You might need to park down the road a bit and walk but you can't go wrong with a walk on the beach before or after your meal.

If you're looking for a good drink with great views, Stones Throw won't disappoint. They have a…read morerooftop bar (open Friday evenings and all day on Saturday/Sunday), it's just located - quite discreetly - next door to the restaurant itself. The same food and drink is served there, but you'll need to communicate that with the host at the restaurant (there was some pushback from the rooftop bar staff when we came about them not being able to seat us because the host needed to make that decision and then tell them; whereas the host at the restaurant told us to just go on over). + The drink I had was good: I got a blackberry sour that was refreshing. If we had had more time, I would have also tried the painkillah' with a rum floater. And, honestly, the mocktails sounded great too! Also, their glassware is lovvvveeellly, make sure you pay attention to that! + They've got vegan options: While we didn't order food, I would have loved to have tried the vegan "crabby" cakes with cilantro aioli! -/+ The views are not unbroken: while you'll be able to take in panoramic views of the ocean, they're disrupted by an abundance of black power lines (this is not true if you're sitting in the restaurant, but you will have loads of people lingering on the sidewalk next to you waiting to be seated). Expect it to be VERY busy in the summer! I see myself returning here when it's a wee bit quieter.

I love to try new places by ordering the corned beef hash...this was simply amazing, maybe the best I have had. The English muffin chewy and tasty and my wife's omelet with vegetables was really good. Though the broccoli was a bit undercooked. We chose some maple syrup and local jams to take home. Wondered why they did not serve these, versus the packets jelly. Coffee good and pastries looked great. We enjoyed the wait staff a bunch, and we decided to grab a lunch to go when we learned they roasted the Turkey themselves. Met Nancy's sister and told her this would be a place we will come back to when we travel this way again.

I discovered Nectar Cafe a few years ago. I had been looking for somewhere to stop for a quick…read morebreakfast on my way from CT to Freeport, and they seemed perfect. I have since grown to love them, so on my most recent trip to Maine, I was excited to return. I just ordered coffees this time, but they were 2 of their September drink specials. It was actually how I celebrated national coffee day! In the past I have had their breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos (though I'm not 100% sure they still offer the latter), both very tasty and well/thoughtfully made. This time, I had their oatmeal cookie latte & their harvest moon cold brew. I preferred the cold brew, but was very happy with them both. The cold brew had a house made pumpkin syrup, vanilla, vanilla cold foam, & cinnamon. The pumpkin syrup was excellent and provided strong flavor without overtaking the coffee. The other flavors of the drink played off of it nicely. The oatmeal cookie latte had marshmallow fluff, caramel sauce, toasted marshmallow syrup, an oat milk base, and an oatmeal cookie garnish. I think the oat milk just thinned it out a bit and softened the other flavors. I've noticed oat milk lattes often hit me a bit weaker in flavor. It was tasty still, I just thought the Harvest Moon cold brew was a stronger special. Super friendly and helpful staff. I needed help deciding on my second drink, and they were great and happy to help! The trailer is always in front of Bell Farm Shops, and it's a pretty environment. There are always cute decorations from the shop outside. I would highly recommend a visit to Nectar Cafe. It's a great pit stop as well if you're traveling North from out of state, but I imagine if I lived closer, I'd be a regular.

We celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary while touring New England…read more We actually just happened upon this place because the first restaurant that we went to, across the street, was out of a couple of dishes that my husband wanted. Well, I'm happy that they were because dinner here was SOOOO good! The bartender helped us choose a bottle of champagne to start. We shared everything. One of each of the deviled eggs each. The maple cranberry was interesting. The sour cream chive one was to die for! The ricotta gnocchi was elegant and fluffy. The sauce made it over the top. The ribs were good, but I'm a Midwest girl. They just don't compare to back home. The clam linguine was seasoned perfectly. It was quite filling. We ended with the Apple Olive Oil cake with maple ice cream. The cake itself was quite dense and dry. The ice cream helped. I would not order this dessert again. Service was quite SLOWWWW, and for no reason as they weren't very busy while we were there. There were long gaps between courses and then once we were finished we kind of just sat there for a while. The food was worth it but something is not running efficiently and could be improved. Still giving 5 starts because it was so good and everyone was welcoming.
