I tagged along to my friend's first appointment thinking I might go there myself, but knew immediately to steer clear based on the 8 foot ad for hormone replacement therapy in the waiting room (see pic). Endorsed with a photo of Coleman, herself, it essentially promises to take twenty years off your body. All of its statements are outlandish. It's scary that a physician would push expensive drugs with very serious potential side effects to this degree. Hormone replacement therapy is something a lot of women struggle with, and the risks are very real, and include strokes and cancer. Sometimes HRT is absolutely the best way to go, but it should only be used if medically (or mentally) necessary. In the actual exam rooms, Coleman has more ads--videos for the latest name-brand (and expensive) drugs. At the end, they all say, "Ask your doctor if you might be right for X drug." Advertising drugs directly to patients in your office by video when you haven't even seen the patient yet is a horror I've never seen anywhere else. A physician should not be under the thumb of pharmaceutical companies. It only results in inaccurate--and expensive!--prescribing. If you want a doctor who prescribes based on symptoms and what drug will most effectively and inexpensively solve the problem, do not go to Coleman.

I always feel like I'm in a cattle line being herded to the next location, but not with Dr. Coleman. I made my appointment and went in to see her. Her office's appearance was clean and organized which is always a plus when dealing with the medical profession. I was seen within about 5 minutes of my arrival. I had my vitals checked then was immediately placed in a waiting room where I waited for Dr. Coleman for about 2 minutes. Talk about FAST Service. Her bedside manner is impeccable and she knows her stuff. Once I began discussing my issue she made me feel like she REALLY cared and was REALLY listening. She's very down to Earth and knowledgeable. I have lived in this area for 35+ years and am so sorry that I had not been to her before but I promise she will be my GP until she retires or I die. Whichever comes first. If you are looking for a competent physician that doesn't just care about the bottom line but actually has a genuine interest in your overall health. Dr. Linda Coleman CAN'T BE BEAT!!!!! Wish I could give 100 stars!!! Well worth it.

You can just tell when you talk to her that she honestly cares about you as a person and wants to do whatever she can to fix your problem. I needed to get a work travel COVID-19 test and a colleague of mine mentioned Mosaic Theory MD. I reached out and was greeted by someone who was courteous, professional and eager to assist. After they put my information into their systems, I immediately begin to receive text messages that send you secure links for paperwork and status updates on your visit to the clinic. The receptionist patiently walked me through everything (which took only a few minutes) and scheduled a visit for me. Here is where it gets better...We live lives that are filled with so much sensory overload that we tend to forget things that are important to us (maybe you don't...but I would forget my head if it wasn't attached to me.) Mosaic Theory MD's automated SMS system sends you text messages with information like schedule, who you need to call if you have questions, where you need to go INCLUDING where to park, virtual office check-in so you have limited contact with anyone who could be infected AND test results once your test is completed. Just Beautiful. Am I right? Meanwhile...your other primary care specialist who claims they have the latest and greatest technology is still sending you one email at random that may hit your spam folder and if you have questions you can just go in circles with an automated operator until they hang up on you. I digress... This is the way healthcare SHOULD be. It was so smooth and seamless. This is the first time I was shown the value in spending money on a healthcare service that is looking towards the future. Well done Mosaic Theory. I will certainly be back and will recommend you as much as I can. Sincerely, -H

I've been extremely impressed with the care I've received from both the doctors and their staff. In their Herndon location, they even have onsite ability to conduct standard serum testing. This streamlining for me is coupled with the extremely generous amount of time that doctors spend during appointments. I feel that the concierge practice model has provided care far exceeding what my old local medical practice had become after losing a few key physicians through retirement. I'm not sure if they are accepting new patients, but if Lifetime Internal Medicine is, I highly advise trying this 'small' team concierge solution as a return to times when medicine was practiced by Doctors instead of Doctors applying a one-size-fits-all template strategy for the codified roll-out of big-med:-)

Dr. Gwilym Parry or Dr. Tessa Cholmondeley will charge $1,800 per patient, per year for the privileges associated with the service. Turns out that this is too rich for my bank account. Additionally, not long after the new practice was put into service, one of my prescriptions required a prior authorization. This was a prescription that was written by Dr. C, just a few months before. When I called the front office to see if they would help with the prior authorization, the answer was "Since you're no longer a patient of ours, we won't perform this service for you" So I opted to change primary doctors, and when I went to get my records transferred from Medical Associates, I was told that there was a charge for copying and printing my records and sending them to the new doctor. I chose to have only the last two years of records sent over, and was charged almost $40.

I think peoples expectations are out of line; it hasn't ever occurred to us to "drop in". One makes an appointment to see a doctor. Otherwise, the patients who have appointments would never get in. There are urgent care clinics, or the emergency room if you need to be seen instantly.

You can imagine why. Anywho, I'm upset and annoyed that SFP stopped accepting insurance. My first reaction was to leave a one star review, but that would not be fair. I believe they have their reasons. Many insurance companies do not align with, or support the type of care SFP provides. I do. After reading the negative reviews, I noticed a consistent theme: people felt disrespected, inconvenienced, or emotionally frustrated. That reaction is understandable. No one likes wasted time, and appointments should be honored. Personally, I have not experienced delayed appointments. What has changed is that appointments are harder to get, and that is worth asking why. Some reviewers were upset about receiving results over the phone. I actually prefer that. Preferences differ, and that matters. Could bedside manner improve? Yes. I agree with that criticism, and I won't defend it. There is room for improvement. That said, let's consider the nature of this practice. Imagine a doctor telling patients that improvement requires an alternative protocol: supplements, timing, lifestyle changes, and long-term commitment. No magic pill. No instant results. Some patients respond with "that's too much," "that's too expensive," or "I can't do that." If a practitioner truly believes in their protocol and practices with integrity, it is reasonable to say: if you are unwilling to follow it, this may not be the right place for you. Health requires time, effort, and maintenance. Proactive care is very different from reactive care. That difference often separates one star reviews from five star reviews. So ask yourself: why do people choose this practice? Is the alternative better, or simply more familiar? Where do your values lie? Are you proactive about your health, willing to research and participate in your care, or do you expect doctors to have every answer while making you feel comfortable along the way? This is an alternative practice for people who are dissatisfied with mainstream medicine. It is not for everyone. No doctor, primary care provider, alternative practitioner, or specialist has all the answers. That is precisely why SFP blends approaches, though it clearly leans more alternative than conventional. Choose wisely. Do your research. Think critically. As for service: service is declining everywhere, not just here. Expectations are high, patience is low, and social media amplifies dissatisfaction. Criticism is valid when it is constructive, but perspective matters. This practice works for people who understand what they are signing up for. If you do, you may find real value here.

Dr was over 30 minutes late and didn't even apologize. Every time I've been in that office, ppl are pissed, asking how much longer.
