I would first like to say that Dr. Eisenbud seems very knowledgeable regarding type 1 diabetes. On my first endocrinology visit, Dr. Eisenbud recommended a new long lasting insulin for me to try as a type 1 diabetic. They provided several samples which was much appreciated and turned out to be a great recommendation on his part. Shortly thereafter, I needed a prescription refill because I was out of the samples he had provided. I called both the office and the on-call doctor to request a prescription for my pharmacy on a Friday during normal business hours. No response what so ever. I left numerous messages and tried to call several times with no answer during the weekly office hours. Due to the office being closed during the weekend, I called my PC doctor and I was able to obtain the required insulin prescription early Monday morning. After at least half a dozen calls to NorCal Roseville office I finally received a response nearly a week later telling my that my prescription had been sent to my pharmacy. I explained that I was a bit frustrated that it took nearly a week for them to respond to patient requests. The office girl who called me back was very rude. She stated that prescription requests take 72 hours; I indicated that I waited over a week (approximately 186 hours) for the office to respond to my voicemail and insulin prescription request. She began to argue with me over the phone and I told her I understood why they had so many customer complaints on yelp and google. I stated that I would not be returning to the office and I would share my experience on Yelp. I would not recommend NorCal endocrinology. Although I do enjoy sharing positive reviews for businesses that deserve it, I was turned off by the way this NorCal office staff member handled the situation at hand. read more
