This is a long pending review that I have been meaning to write for over 6 months now…read more I have always struggled with weight fluctuations. With that came a whole lot of other issues like PCOS, hormonal imbalances, low energy, high triglycerides etc etc. That's when I discovered LeanMD and started the program with Dr Temkin's team (specifically Kayoko). At first it may seem like a standard calorie deficit diet program. When you combine that, with regular exercise, low carb diet, their supplements and weekly accountability check ins, it makes all the difference. I went from 160lbs down to 136lb in my first 12 months. Then took a break due to travel and other engagements and I was able to sustain the weight loss with slight increase of 3lbs(I have been eating regular diet/not on low carb). I was able to fight my PCOS and get my regular cycles back. My hair/skin also improved dramatically (thanks H2O). The biggest value add for me personally working with Kai! She is awesome and keeps it real! This is a lifestyle changing and definitely sustainable program. I highly recommend!

Reading the negative reviews on Dr. Roy - What a joke. Those reviews do not mark on Dr. Roy's…read moreservice! We have been with Dr. Roy for about 2 years. He is extremely knowledgeable, articulate and CARES! Emergency calls, he'll see us. Last minute refills needed, he helps out. Billing properly, we've never had an issue. He can speak in "Doctor" at times and we simply ask him to dummy down the vocabulary for us. He has a wealth of knowledge that he can share. I respect that. As we are dealing with a very rare condition we only trust the best. Dr. Roy is a great doctor - HANDS DOWN. Oh! While reading someone else's post, I saw how they mentioned Dr. Roy wore no gloves while shaking their hand. I LOVED THIS ABOUT DR. ROY. He always greets us with respect and shakes our hand. He treats us very well, making us feel as if he genuinely cares and not as an infected person simply needing treatment.

I find the staff extremely rude and the doctors unprofessional I would not recommend. Also I always felt very rushed like they were in a hurry for something all the time. Also, the communication is the worst, one time I called five times in a row they all told me that they would tell the doctor to call me back and he never did. That has happened to me twice. And they even told me that they had no evidence in the computer saying that I called which was even more shocking and upsetting.

This was my first experience with this group today and it was an excellent experience. I saw some…read moreof the reviews, and thought I should take a few minutes out of my day to give more recent feedback. I talked with the front office staff today and spoke with a receptionist named Leslie. I had a great experience. I asked her if I could fax over insurance information and when she received it, she promptly called me back to acknowledge that she did. She was able to make arrangements for my family member to be seen promptly. When I called again, to add more info, a different receptionist answered. I asked for Leslie (just because she was my point of contact ten mins prior) and the second receptionist said "I can help you!" and she must have referred to Leslie's note, because I didn't have to explain where we were at in the scheduling process. I found both receptionists to be quite attentive and thorough. I also have words of praise for Dr. Sue Knight. She is warm and genuine. She truly cares about her patients. My family member told me that he had a good visit and he was given information for follow up/next steps. I do hope this review is helpful for anyone who is "on the fence" given the reviews posted here. At a minimum, many positive changes MUST have been made since the poor reviews were posted because my experience was not like anything the reviewers with negative comments suggested, if they were indeed based in fact. I don't know, however, when I see one star and five star reviews, I'm always a bit skeptical--especially about extremes. I am writing this five star review because there honestly isn't anything that they could have done to make the experience any better than it already was! We all want experiences with receptionists who can take our information accurately, relay the information in a timely manner to whomever needs it, and make sure your request is being handled appropriately/within reason. We want to know our loved ones (kids, parents, etc) are in good hands. We all want doctors who are attentive, knowledgeable, thorough and caring. Given the above, I'd say they earned the five stars!

The front office staff and nurses are absolutely rude, and talk to you as if they are not interested in their work and doing favor to you. Everything goes through portal and there is no talking on the phone, not even with the nurse. No one gets back to you for 72 hours. They can't even answer for 3-days they can even fill a form for school. You just keep waiting. Absolutely painful and even though I like my doctor, I have to move elsewhere.

So to be 100% honest I haven't seen this doctor in several years now, but the last time I had an…read moreappointment with her is something I've thought about multiple times in the last few years so I feel like writing a review may be helpful. For starters, it always took forever to be seen by Dr Raj. For example if I had an appointment at 2 PM, I would get there at 1:50 to check in, and then be in a room waiting for 30+ minutes until 2:30 or even later, while I could hear Dr Raj laughing and chatting in the next room. I understand having rapport with your clients, but when she would come into my room she seemed cold, un-empathetic, and rushed, when the timing being so delayed was not my fault. The last time I saw Dr Raj she diagnosed me with depression. I was 18 (26 now for context), and honestly I was really scared. I had never been diagnosed with anything before, and I told her I was really struggling and needed help. I explained that I wanted blood work done to check for various vitamin levels and serotonin, before I jumped into taking something that could negatively impact me long term (like an SSRI if my serotonin levels were fine). Not only did she refuse bloodwork, but she actually told me (and this is a direct quote) that I "was not strong enough to survive depression without taking antidepressants," and that I would eventually end up committing s**cide." Like I said- she said this to me 8 years ago and it has negatively stuck with me since. I have a psychology/neuroscience degree now, and even though I'm not a doctor, I would never in a million years speak to ANYONE in that way. That is a deeply inappropriate, reckless, and harmful thing to say to a child that is asking you for help and clearly scared. She also told me that "when" (not if) I changed my mind, she'll write me any prescription I want, no questions asked, which is an extremely irresponsible way to be practicing medicine. It took a few years of some other not-so-great doctors, but I eventually got bloodwork done that showed VERY low vitamin levels, and taking care of my vitamin deficiencies helped with my depression tremendously. There's also 100s of different ways she could have responded to me that would've been kind, helpful, and considerate, rather than what she chose to say. I wish potential physiological contributors had been investigated before medication was pushed as the only solution. You would think that a baseline level of empathy would be present in a healthCARE provider, but not with Dr Raj. I truly hope she is retired and doesn't speak to clients in the ways she spoke to me. Due to her lack of basic consideration and care, as well as time management, I would not recommend going to her, especially if you're struggling with your mental health.

She finally says "Dr. Rajagopalan is not here today. They called and left a message." No one called and there were no messages of a cancelled appointment. I got no message in my patient portal either. Dr. Raj is pretty good but she makes you wait, often for over an hour, thus I decided to make an 8 am appointment to reduce that. The gal at the desk was so rude about it. I know mistakes happen but she was awful and didn't make any suggestions for a quick reschedule or make any kind of apology except a sarcastic "sorry!" I'm done. Time to find a new doctor!

Dr. Okamura was able to treat me for the pain, I can now say I am headache free and my neck pain is much better. I did the exercises he told me to do, patient participation makes a big difference in wellness. I would definitely return for musculoskeletal issues. Pain medication can be a useful tool, but I felt I would be better served without medication and Dr. Okamura was able to address all my symptoms adequately. My husband had been admitted to the hospital twice in the past for medical emergencies -- he received only the best care from Dr. O and the San Ramon Medical Center and recovered both times. During one of the medical emergencies, at night and on a weekend, I called Dr. O's office, and he personally took the call himself -- most Dr's would have an answering service taking the calls! Not only did he advise me on all the proper steps to take for the next 24 hours, but I felt reassured as always that my husband was in excellent hands and in the hands of a caring doctor. We had to sadly switch health plans a year ago, as employers have made it so difficult to have private care. I cannot wait for changes to our employers health plans so we can return to Dr. O as our primary care provider. As for greeting us , on a normal basis he often would greet us with "Oh, you made it!" meaning "You were able to keep the appointment, I'm glad to see you!" We feel blessed to have been under the care of such a top notch doctor and would highly recommend him to anyone.
