Dr Kenessey and all of his staff are first class; caring and kind. He has helped me in so many ways from my mental to my physical well being. I also see him for HRT in pellet form along with a regimen of BioTe vitamins and I feel so much healthier. This place is garbage, and only out to take your money. They cut me off my first visit once I mentioned to the pre-visit nurse, I was eventually going to be switching to medi-cal, which is not in their network. I didn't even get to see Dr. Kenessey, nor got the help I needed. After that the office manager DeeDee purposely would not take my calls and dropped me. A year later I got a bill in the mail for a full office visit. I called and tried to talk to Dr. Kenessey to resolve the issue but DeeDee once again would not let me get through to him and refused to hear my side of the story and used the supposed 'office notes' to manipulate the situation, and say that I deserved to pay the bill. Warmsculpting??? Just another way for Dr. Kenessey to take your money!!! I have not said one word publicly since my visit two years ago but I can no longer remain silent. I thought something was off when I phoned Dr. Kennessey's office to make an appointment to learn about BioTE and I received a return call from the Dr.! ? A bit odd but o.k..... Fast forward, after going to the office and learning that my blood work needed to be done by them (when I could have had it done cheaper at QUEST), I still went along with it. But during the consultation, with my husband present, the Dr. kept emphasing how fabulous his sex life is and that mine would be too!!!! By the way, not my primary reason for my visit. At any rate, after spending about an hour listening to how wonderful and amazing he is, I told him I needed to think about it more before proceeding. He basically scolded me and asked if I had read his book (which I had). He hastily took my $300 plus dollar consultation fee and I never heard another word from his office. My advice is RUN, do not walk away from this guy! By the way this only the second time in my life I have written a yelp review and the only time I have written a negative one! read more

TL;DR: Best GP/Doctor I've ever seen. Entire office is professional, courteous, and genuinely and actively engaged in your health. Dr. Kenessey has been my general practitioner since I was 13 years of age. He's seen me through many a scrape, broken bone, illness, and what have you. While I've had to see other specialist in my time, Dr. Kennesey is always the first person I consult. While his bedside manner is top-notch, he's also not afraid of giving you straight talk if you are engaging in habits that are detrimental to your health. He is honest and open, but caring and engaged with all of his patients. Can't sing the man's praises enough, but the professionals he works with are fantastic too. The CNP and other resident doctor are also amazing, as well as the front office staff. If you need a GP, this is the practice to go to. read more

Excellent doctor and office - professional doctor who actually spends time with you to explain and answer questions. The nurse and office staff is professional, courteous and helpful; also, they don't put you on a forever hold if you call them. Billing is accurate and detailed. Office is busy but the wait time [for scheduled appt] is always reasonable and on the fast side (thus you know they aren't just trying to cram in appointments to make more money.) Office is very modern and clean with plenty of parking that is conveniently close to the building. It is plus that you can also get a ton of vitamins and other products at the office - they don't push you to buy, but they certainly make it convenient! read more

I called Dr. Kenessey's office to see whether he was taking patients. I was told that he was. As I started to make an appointment I was asked about my insurance. When I said Medicare the person said "oh he doesn't take Medicare but you can see a nurse practitioner. " I want to see a doctor not a nurse. Dr. Kenessey really is the best. He has been my physician since I was a kid and I would never think of changing physicians. So why only three stars? Well I recently went in to see the NP, Deborah (who was also VERY nice!), and I was so disappointed with the woman who came to get me from the waiting room, took my ht/wt/BP. She was not friendly at all and seemed annoyed and rushed the entire time (which was only a total of about three min, but was enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth). If it were any other physician's office, she would be enough of a reason for me to look elsewhere because I felt THAT dismissed, but since I have always been so happy with Dr. Kenessey I will leave this review instead. I did not catch her name but she is probably in her late 40s with blonde shoulder length hair--maybe today was just a bad day for her but she was NOT representing the office well! read more

When I was away at college and moving around in my 20's I went to other doctors and NONE compare. I was disappointed to find out that all doctors weren't like him! Currently, I have a lousy health plan at Kaiser and instead of going there I still go see Dr. Kenessey, even though I have to pay out of pocket. He's that great of a doctor, as well as his staff who are always so kind. When I was unemployed and couldn't pay off my $300 balance right away they were very understanding and told me just to pay what I could. Dr. K is extremely patient and really takes the time to talk to you to see what is going on. He doesn't make you feel rushed like most doctors do-you know, when you can tell they're behind schedule and you hear them in the hall scurrying from room to room...and then they scurry in and out of your room. Dr.K is hands down the best pcp I have ever had! I decided to try to count how many doctors I have seen in my life and I got to 60 and gave up(I have been "sickly" my entire life). He referred me to new specialists, managed all of their medical findings, and was able to finally get my health on track. He has seen me in crisis and gotten me the help I needed. He stays current with new medical findings and advice. It is the first time I have had a doctor try to keep me well, not just throw meds at a problem. Dr Kenessey and his staff are AMAZING! I have been seeing him for years. I've had health problems over the years and it's been frustrating. As a doctor, he's wonderful and I can't imagine not having him get me through those times. What I want to share here though is what a great human being he is. He's patient and empathetic. Yesterday, early into a plane fight I got very sick and passed out. I was non responsive, gray, and sweating. My wife called for a flight attendant and they made an announcement asking for medical assistance. Lucky for us Dr. Kenessey was on board and jumped into action. He took my blood pressure (using on board first aid kit) which registered very low. He stayed with me taking my blood pressure at least 4 times until it increased and I was feeling better. During the course of the 2 hour flight Dr. Kenessey came back to check on things several times to make sure everything was OK. At the conclusion of the flight, Dr. Kenessey waited for me as I off-boarded and said what he thought was going on and recommended next steps. If you are in the Danville area and looking for an action oriented care physician you have found your Doctor. If you are flying I recommended taking Dr. Kenessey with you too. read more
