For the past seven years, I suffered from chronic fatigue, insomnia, and slow metabolism. I've ate clean and joined Crossfit for the past 5 years, hoping those symptoms would go away. Even after losing 90 pounds, I still felt drained ALL the time. I went from doctor to doctor and completed every test possible. They told me my thyroid was fine. That it was within "range". I even got my metabolism tested and the tests showed it was extremely slow. Then a friend of mine that works at Kaiser told me to see Dr Kennessey. I met with him and after completed a complete blood panel, he found out exactly what was wrong with me. I started my treatment in Sept 2017, and I'm so happy with the results. I'm sleeping better, I have more energy, and I've lost another 25 pounds. Thank you Dr Kennessey. I can't believe a suffered for so many years. The past six months, I have felt amazing. I'm so much happier. read more

Dr Kenessey was my Dr for over 20 years, right by my side helping raise my kids from babies. Along the way, lost my insurance, had to change Dr. etc. I will say this Dr Kenessey is a warm, honest person and genuinely loves what he does. I wish him continued success. I miss him. read more

I started my BHRT almost a month ago and I was really surprised that I started feeling the benefits in the first week! No more insomnia, vaginal dryness, lack of libido, and even my joints feel better!! And a plus that I did not expect: I had a very bad fracture in 2021 (tibia) and since then I started feeling this bad sensation going from my foot up to my hip every night: it was really unsettling and for my surprise it's gone! I don't even understand how it is possible but it did and I'm really glad! I'll definitely die with my pellets! read more

Dr. Kenessey had been my attending physician for hormone balancing for some years when, after routine tests, he noticed a small irregularity in my blood work. His immediate referral to a specialist resulted in the early diagnosis of a condition which was unrelated to the subject at hand, but was life threatening. The resulting TX was successful, due, at least in part, to Dr. Bela Kenessey's alert attention to small details. read more

I have lived in all 3 major time zones and had several Doctors over the years. When I moved to the Bay Area, I needed to find a long-term physician--I was referred to Dr. Kenessey by a co-worker who gave a high opinion for him.. Dr. Kenessey is the absolute best physician I have ever worked with. He listens and pays attention in detail. His advice over the years has always been spot on. You are fortunate if you have the opportunity to have him as your Doctor. The office staff has always been professional as well--a reflection of his attitude. Bela--thanks for taking such great care of me through the years. Much appreciated! read more

Dr Kenessey and all of his staff are first class; caring and kind. He has helped me in so many ways from my mental to my physical well being. I also see him for HRT in pellet form along with a regimen of BioTe vitamins and I feel so much healthier. I was miserable before I started pellet therapy but after initial blood work that showed what was lacking in my body, I started the pellets and vitamins and what a huge difference it has made in my life. Not only is Dr. Kenessey an excellent practitioner his is a warm, kind, sincere human. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about him and his practice. He spends time with each patient and really listens. I've never felt rushed nor a bother to him. He also offers a weight reduction program that I have not used but have seen the before and after pictures and testimonials with great results. Great Dr. Great practice! read more

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr Kenessey and staff. They are very kind very professional and helpful. Everything was explained to me ahead of time and in great detail. My consultation with the Dr was nothing short of amazing, he went over vitamin levels, thyroid and hormones and answered all of my questions. My husband and I started together and just a short 4 weeks later we feel like we have our energy back like never before! Thank you Dr Kenessey and staff. read more

This place is garbage, and only out to take your money. They cut me off my first visit once I mentioned to the pre-visit nurse, I was eventually going to be switching to medi-cal, which is not in their network. I didn't even get to see Dr. Kenessey, nor got the help I needed. After that the office manager DeeDee purposely would not take my calls and dropped me. A year later I got a bill in the mail for a full office visit. I called and tried to talk to Dr. Kenessey to resolve the issue but DeeDee once again would not let me get through to him and refused to hear my side of the story and used the supposed 'office notes' to manipulate the situation, and say that I deserved to pay the bill. Unreal. I didn't even see a doctor at my 'doctor visit'. read more

TL;DR: Best GP/Doctor I've ever seen. Entire office is professional, courteous, and genuinely and actively engaged in your health. Dr. Kenessey has been my general practitioner since I was 13 years of age. He's seen me through many a scrape, broken bone, illness, and what have you. While I've had to see other specialist in my time, Dr. Kennesey is always the first person I consult. While his bedside manner is top-notch, he's also not afraid of giving you straight talk if you are engaging in habits that are detrimental to your health. He is honest and open, but caring and engaged with all of his patients. Can't sing the man's praises enough, but the professionals he works with are fantastic too. The CNP and other resident doctor are also amazing, as well as the front office staff. If you need a GP, this is the practice to go to. read more

Warmsculpting??? Just another way for Dr. Kenessey to take your money!!! I have not said one word publicly since my visit two years ago but I can no longer remain silent. I thought something was off when I phoned Dr. Kennessey's office to make an appointment to learn about BioTE and I received a return call from the Dr.! ? A bit odd but o.k..... Fast forward, after going to the office and learning that my blood work needed to be done by them (when I could have had it done cheaper at QUEST), I still went along with it. But during the consultation, with my husband present, the Dr. kept emphasing how fabulous his sex life is and that mine would be too!!!! By the way, not my primary reason for my visit. At any rate, after spending about an hour listening to how wonderful and amazing he is, I told him I needed to think about it more before proceeding. He basically scolded me and asked if I had read his book (which I had). He hastily took my $300 plus dollar consultation fee and I never heard another word from his office. My advice is RUN, do not walk away from this guy! By the way this only the second time in my life I have written a yelp review and the only time I have written a negative one! read more

I have been going to Dr. K since he first started his practice and he has helped me over those years with a number of medical problems. His office staff is like a Family and Eric has always gotten us an appointment when we needed it. We all can have Bad days...or moments but I certainly would not put it out on Yelp! Eric just keep doing what you do best...you make my visit a pleasure and I look forward to seeing you in the office. I would STRONGLY recommend Dr. K for anyone seeking a great a Great MD in the East Bay area! read more

I want to say that Dr. Kenessey and his wife and staff are the best! Dr. Kenessey takes a lot of time with you and explains everything. I go to him for HRT and I feel so much better. Dr. Kenessey loves what he does in helping clients feel great! And he is very knowledgeable. I am so happy I found him. I trust him very much! read more

Dr K is the best! My wife and I have been seeing Dr K for years! His entire office staff is great and they always seem to fit you in on short notice. read more

Excellent doctor and office - professional doctor who actually spends time with you to explain and answer questions. The nurse and office staff is professional, courteous and helpful; also, they don't put you on a forever hold if you call them. Billing is accurate and detailed. Office is busy but the wait time [for scheduled appt] is always reasonable and on the fast side (thus you know they aren't just trying to cram in appointments to make more money.) Office is very modern and clean with plenty of parking that is conveniently close to the building. It is plus that you can also get a ton of vitamins and other products at the office - they don't push you to buy, but they certainly make it convenient! read more

I called Dr. Kenessey's office to see whether he was taking patients. I was told that he was. As I started to make an appointment I was asked about my insurance. When I said Medicare the person said "oh he doesn't take Medicare but you can see a nurse practitioner. " I want to see a doctor not a nurse. This is ageism, discrimination and should be reported to his medical board. read more

I was referred to Dr. Kenessey after talking to a friend about the pains of getting older. When she told me about Dr. Kenessey and Biote, I literally stopped the conversation and made my appointment that moment. Dr. Kenessey has been a lifesaver and my health has never been better. I really appreciate that both Dr. Kenessey and his wife are super friendly and personable, and they both take the time to answer all my questions and concerns. Getting older no longer means tired, pain, or overweight. Thank you! read more

Dr. Kenessey really is the best. He has been my physician since I was a kid and I would never think of changing physicians. So why only three stars? Well I recently went in to see the NP, Deborah (who was also VERY nice!), and I was so disappointed with the woman who came to get me from the waiting room, took my ht/wt/BP. She was not friendly at all and seemed annoyed and rushed the entire time (which was only a total of about three min, but was enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth). If it were any other physician's office, she would be enough of a reason for me to look elsewhere because I felt THAT dismissed, but since I have always been so happy with Dr. Kenessey I will leave this review instead. I did not catch her name but she is probably in her late 40s with blonde shoulder length hair--maybe today was just a bad day for her but she was NOT representing the office well! read more

If you are looking for an outstanding doctor in Danville, look no further than Dr. Kenessey! I have been going to Dr. K since I was a kid- gosh, about 20 years now. When I was away at college and moving around in my 20's I went to other doctors and NONE compare. I was disappointed to find out that all doctors weren't like him! Currently, I have a lousy health plan at Kaiser and instead of going there I still go see Dr. Kenessey, even though I have to pay out of pocket. He's that great of a doctor, as well as his staff who are always so kind. When I was unemployed and couldn't pay off my $300 balance right away they were very understanding and told me just to pay what I could. Dr. K is extremely patient and really takes the time to talk to you to see what is going on. He doesn't make you feel rushed like most doctors do-you know, when you can tell they're behind schedule and you hear them in the hall scurrying from room to room...and then they scurry in and out of your room. Dr. Kenessey's patience, knowledge and professionalism make him a truly outstanding doctor. I recommend him to all of my friend's, family and anyone new to the area. read more

Reading through all these reviews I'm not surprised that almost everyone displayed a 5 star review. I first saw Dr. Kenessey in mmmm.. 1994-5 can't remember the exact date but I've never seen another doctor. Why would I? He's the greatest. He got me through cancer and other health issues, What a wonderful doctor. Thank you Dr. Kenessey for everything. read more

Dr. Kenessey has been our Doctor for 24 years. He, his staff, GNP's and Dr. Flagg are awesome!! He has helped me so much I'm grateful for his council and support through all these years. Dr K and his staff are truly amazing! If you are looking for more personal attention from your physician, I strongly recommend this group. His staff seamlessly integrates lab work, prescriptions, and appointments. After many frustrations with my former GP I am continually impressed at how well they do their jobs. I will continue to see Dr K even tho we are moving out of the area. He is worth the trip and I trust his judgement 100%. read more

Dr.K is hands down the best pcp I have ever had! I decided to try to count how many doctors I have seen in my life and I got to 60 and gave up(I have been "sickly" my entire life). He referred me to new specialists, managed all of their medical findings, and was able to finally get my health on track. He has seen me in crisis and gotten me the help I needed. He stays current with new medical findings and advice. It is the first time I have had a doctor try to keep me well, not just throw meds at a problem. My husband also sees Dr. K and I have recommended him to countless others. I could not say enough wonderful things about this man. Fabulous! read more

Dr. Kenessey and his staff treat their patients like family. Dr. Kenessey is very thorough, intelligent, caring, and mostly Committed to the health and wellbeing of every person who comes into his office. Two years ago he was one of only 4 physicians that Google showed as providing hormone replacement therapy, via pellets, in the Bay Area . . . and the other 3 were in San Francisco. For those of us in the east bay, Dr. Kenessey is a God-send. I drove 45 min to see him every three months and it was completely worth it because I received personalized and very high quality care. If you are in Walnut Creek, Benicia, San Jose, and anywhere in between, and you know that you want and need a GREAT doctor, call and make and appointment with This doctor. You will be Very Glad you did! read more

Dr Kenessey and his staff are AMAZING! I have been seeing him for years. I've had health problems over the years and it's been frustrating. As a doctor, he's wonderful and I can't imagine not having him get me through those times. What I want to share here though is what a great human being he is. He's patient and empathetic. When I'm really not doing well he is the one I usually end up crying to(I'm not a crier) and he always gets me through it. I leave encouraged and knowing he's on my side and will do all he can. He really cares about his patients and that means the world to me! read more

I have been seeing Dr. Kenesey when he just started his practice in 1994, I think. He has been my primary doctor all these years. I have great faith in him and have always found him to be attentive and caring. He also sees my daughter. I am now starting to have more medical issues and find his advice and explanations very helpful. He is available when you need him and I am glad that he is my doctor. read more

Yesterday, early into a plane fight I got very sick and passed out. I was non responsive, gray, and sweating. My wife called for a flight attendant and they made an announcement asking for medical assistance. Lucky for us Dr. Kenessey was on board and jumped into action. He took my blood pressure (using on board first aid kit) which registered very low. He stayed with me taking my blood pressure at least 4 times until it increased and I was feeling better. During the course of the 2 hour flight Dr. Kenessey came back to check on things several times to make sure everything was OK. At the conclusion of the flight, Dr. Kenessey waited for me as I off-boarded and said what he thought was going on and recommended next steps. If you are in the Danville area and looking for an action oriented care physician you have found your Doctor. If you are flying I recommended taking Dr. Kenessey with you too. read more
