This is based upon a visit my husband (the handsome man)…read moreseveral years ago. Yet, I feel it is important to write this review and possibly save others from a similar experience. My husband has a extremely high tolerance for pain. So, when he says he is in pain, he means it. When he states he's willing to see a doctor, that means something is definitely wrong. And I get frightened because he doesn't care for doctors. Can't blame him; we've had more than our share of doozey doctors. A friend of ours recommended Dr. Peer and my husband scheduled an appointment with him. I went along as it is helpful to have an extra set of ears during doctor appointments. My husband explained his pain and that his urine was a brownish/red color. He and I both told the doctor we felt a urine test should be done, yet the doctor disagreed. We had to ask this man and a nurse three times to perform a simple urine test. The third time, we had to be not-so-friendly and were very firm about having the simple urine test done. No surprise to us, the urine test showed there was indeed a problem. My husband then went to a different doctor. A a kidney stone was diagnosed and treated by the competent doctor via surgery. Neither my husband nor I returned to Peer's office nor would we recommend him. Think about it, a patient has urinary problems and extreme pain yet a doctor doesn't want to do a urine test? Yikes.

"Competence, Professionalism, Friendliness"…read more Both my wife and myself have been patients of Dr. Omarali for about 4 years. We are very pleased with the doctor, and with this office in general. One interesting feature about Dr.Omarali is that he is actually a specialist in cardiology! I haven't had one of those treadmill stress tests yet, but I'm looking forward to one soon. Dr. Omarali is very thoughtful and takes medical issues seriously. Whenever I have a physical, he takes his time, and does a thorough job. He doesn't try to rush--instead, he tries to do a thorough job. I really appreciate his patience and professionalism. Just recently, I visited the doctor for a unusual issue that was causing me some distress. He suggested several types of therapy, and prescribed different medications. He also suggested when it would be appropriate to go see a specialist. So overall, we have been very pleased with the entire staff at this office. They are all very easy to get along with, and it's a pleasure visiting this office. Plus he's just a nice man.

I also just read the review by Eric F. and also felt compelled to respond…read more Dr. Okamura has been my family's doctor for over 15 years -- we are both in our 50's. My husband had been admitted to the hospital twice in the past for medical emergencies -- he received only the best care from Dr. O and the San Ramon Medical Center and recovered both times. During one of the medical emergencies, at night and on a weekend, I called Dr. O's office, and he personally took the call himself -- most Dr's would have an answering service taking the calls! Not only did he advise me on all the proper steps to take for the next 24 hours, but I felt reassured as always that my husband was in excellent hands and in the hands of a caring doctor. We had to sadly switch health plans a year ago, as employers have made it so difficult to have private care. I cannot wait for changes to our employers health plans so we can return to Dr. O as our primary care provider. As for greeting us , on a normal basis he often would greet us with "Oh, you made it!" meaning "You were able to keep the appointment, I'm glad to see you!" We feel blessed to have been under the care of such a top notch doctor and would highly recommend him to anyone.
