I recently moved to Chicago and went to Noryane upon recommendations from two different friends who went to her. I was not disappointed. My first time, she did an amazing job highlighting my hair to exactly the color I wanted. And while my cut was simple, she did a great job. Her prices are affordable and her talent is superb. However, it was the second time visiting Noryane's that made me a customer. I had decided to (professionally) dye my hair from blonde to deep, dark brownish red (with my go-to hair person at home). Of course, after I few months, I wanted to go back to blonde. First thing: She was confident. She knew she could do it and that I would not come out with dry, damaged hair. Second: She was honest. She told me about how much she expected it to cost and how long it would take (It wasn't cheap and it took forever). She also came in on her day off to do it. Third: She got me lighter, but it was not the color I wanted it to be. So she patiently re-highlighted my hair after a few days to what I wanted it to be. Fourth: She gave me one of the best haircuts ever. Even after all of the chemicals, she got rid of the dried ends and gave my hair great shape. Never has it looked so good. Finally: If there was someone who I would want to spend hours talking with during color correction, its Noryane. She is funny, smart and really kind. So, if you are moving to Chicago or looking for a new stylist, Noryane is your girl read more

I have been a client of Norayne's for at least 5 years, probably longer, and look forward to every single one of my visits with her. Norayne is not only a true and talented professional when it comes to hair, she is also one of the sweetest and most caring people you will meet. She very thoughtfully listens to your ideas, thoughts and concerns before she starts any services and makes sure you're on the same page. She is definitely not one of those stylists with an ego that says, "just trust me", and then you walk out in tears. However, if you're like me and sometimes want a change, but have no idea what you want, she will always offer very knowledgeable suggestions, but again won't proceed until you're on the same page. She perfectly executes both cut and coloring, all the while cheerfully engaging in conversation, picking up where we left off even if it was months ago. I have never left her salon without feeling fabulous. Countless times over the years I've been complimented on my hair (cut and coloring) and I always refer them to Norayne. Due to an extended job search money has been tight which has required me to go longer than normal between my cuts and colors, however, there is no one else I would trust with my hair and Norayne is worth every penny. read more

I have been going to Norayne for about 3 years now. I was referred to her by a close friend when looking for a hairstylist in the city. I came to Chicago from a small town in Michigan so I was always dreading paying the more expensive service prices here for a basic haircut. After going to Norayne for the first time, I now have no issues paying more than I was back in my hometown. It's well worth the money to get a stylist that knows what they are doing with any type of hair! My hair is pretty basic (straight, thin and flat) and Norayne always finds a way to cut it so that it (1) looks more appealing but (2) keeps my "boring" style in mind. Even with a simple cut she takes her time and makes sure you leave looking perfect. She is not pushy and always sticks to what I ask with a cut. Same with the eyebrow waxing service - she takes her time and does a really great job. It's also nice getting to chat with her during each appointment. I am not sure how she does it...but she always remembers where we left off chatting from the previous appointment and we pick up the convo like old friends each time. I have recommended her to others in my circle in Chicago and will continue to do so. Thanks, Norayne! read more

Norayne as a person and her work are both absolutely fabulous!!! I have happily recommended Norayne's Studio Salon to coworkers, friends, and work clients over the three years since Norayne became my hairstylist. I was new to the city then and browsing online reviews, hoping to find a hairstylist I could trust. I am so grateful I found Norayne's review, that I had to write my own! Norayne has provided an expert cut for any style I've had over the years, as well as advice and feedback regarding ideas I might have. Sometimes I walk in without a vision but just knowing I want to change things up, and Norayne will whip up some ideas and reason through with me to decide the best style. I'm 12 for 12 times there getting a perfect cut! Her personality can only be described as vibrant, ambitious, creative, upbeat! Overall a delightful experience with ideal results! Pretty easy to get to the salon via transit, with metered parking available as well. Prices are very reasonable, she's great at accommodating my schedule. I HIGHLY recommend Norayne for a superb salon experience!!!!! read more

Norayne is an incredible stylist. Her qualities cannot be overstated. First and foremost she takes great pride in her work, and it shows. Her color is incredible; she gets it right every time, even though I'm terrible at explaining what it is I want...it's like she can read my mind, and come up with color even better than I could have imagined! Her cuts are also wonderful, and grow out beautifully. As if that weren't enough, Norayne is an incredibly fun and sweet person who is always a joy to talk to (which is important when you're spending 2+ hours getting your highlights! ) Finally, her prices are great for the top notch quality and service. If you are looking for a stylist in Chicago, you should definitely check out Norayne - she is the best, I don't know what I would do without her! read more

A friend of mine has been going to Norayne for years and has always loved the experience and her hair always looks great! After my stylist moved away, I knew I had to visit Norayne. Once I found her spot (the salon has an interesting set up with separate rooms which was a bit odd at first if you are not used to that) I immediately knew I was in good hands. Norayne is a complete doll, she makes you feel comfortable right away and it was as if I had known her for years. She asked the right questions to help me to explain what I wanted for my cut, and she listened to my answers. Then we had a great time chatting while she was doing her thing and I was delighted with the result. I love seeing people do what they truly enjoy as a business, so I am a big supporter of Norayne's! read more

We all know how hard it is to find a really great hairstylist...one you would follow to the ends of the earth. Well, for me, that stylist is Norayne. Norayne has been my stylist for five years. And not only is she very talented and professional at what she does, she's a pleasure to be around. When you visit her studio salon, she makes you feel right at home, while focusing her attention on you and your hairstyling needs. And every cut and color I've had has been tremendous, whether I'm going short or long, with highlights or without, I always leave feeling great and looking better than ever. Norayne's Studio Salon is one of the best kept secrets in Chicago. Once you try her, I guarantee you won't let anyone else near your hair! read more

Historically, I am not the 'salon' type. However, I wanted to get a few professional hair cuts before my wedding this summer, so I sought advice from a friend at work who's hair always looks so healthy and well styled. She quickly referred me to Norayne without hesitation (she'd been going to Norayne for over a year), and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Norayne has a knack for listening to what you are envisioning for your hairstyle while still gently offering suggestions, if you're in need of them. And to top it off, she's a very down-to-earth, kind, and engaging person . I will continue to go to Norayne even after The Big Day, and I would highly recommend her services to any/everyone. read more

There is not enough good things that I can say about Norayne' Studio Salon. She is awesome! When it comes to hair, color, and extensions she knows what she is doing. She takes time to get to know her clients and their needs. Its a studio salon so its only her, no distraction and you are always well taken care of. She is extremely talented with consistantly learning new techniques, she also has a great attitude and you will leave with a smile on your face! She also gives great suggestions on what the latest styles are. When I go in there I let her do her magic, she is the expert. I don't let a lot of people touch my hair but when it comes to Norayne she is the BEST!! read more

Getting a haircut from Norayne is more than just a haircut, it's an experience. I don't know if her haircut outshines her personality and obvious care, but, by far, both are exceptional! I turned my girlfriend on to Norayne and now she refuses to go anywhere else. When she leaves the salon after getting her haircut or having highlights done, she's like a new person because her hair looks so great! She has thin hair and she says she is really impressed by the way Norayne deals with her hair and that her hair has never looked better. I agree! We'll never go anywhere else and we both highly recommend her! read more

I've been going to Norayne for a little over 2 years now, and she's great! She really takes her time, makes sure you're comfortable, pays attention to details, and makes sure you get the look you want. And what's more...she really cares that you love the results! She takes the time up front to make sure she asks questions and listens to her clients so she knows exactly what they're looking for, and she can provide advice and guidance if you're not sure what you want. Add to that the fact that she's positive, upbeat and easy to talk with, and you've got yourself a winner. read more

Norayne is a wonderful stylist AND person. She does what it takes to achieve what you want, even if it's coming back again to make a tweak. She is professional and accomodating. Her salon is cozy and her prices reasonable. Above all, she is committed to her clients and I see that in how she treats me. Her actions align with her words. She is a gem and one-of-a-kind. I highly recommend Norayne and do to all of my friends here in Chicago. She is the very first stylist I went to when I first moved to Chicago almost five years ago and I wouldn't go anywhere else!!! read more

My wife and at least 10 of our friends have been going here for a while. Norayne is fantastic at what she does...LOVE when my wife gets her hair done at Norayne's. It's a small studio (self run and managed), and only sits a few. However, my wife and her friends love to make a girls night out of it so they can hang out with Norayne and get there hair done. I haven't experienced it myself...but I love the results of the people who have (and isn't that the best measure of success...that everyone else loves your hair as much as you do?) read more

Norayne runs a fantastic salon and is always keeping up with the latest trends and styles. My search for a salon is over, as I have been to Norayne's a few times and have loved my hair every time! She is very talented, and knows how to work with any and every hair type. She runs a one-woman shop and is very busy, but always makes time for her customers and you can feel that through her enthusiasm and dedication....even if you are the last appointment of the day, she takes great care and leaves her customers satisfied! read more

I have known Norayne for a few months now after meeting her in the gym. I had her fix a "problem" done by a previous salon and stylist. She exceeded my expectations! My hair looks fabulous and I get compliments everywhere I go. In addition to her tremendous talent and eye for beauty, Norayne is a kind, sweet, and fun person. I look forward to my days in her salon because we have such a great time talking. I recommend her to everyone! Thanks Norayne, you are the best in Chicago! read more

Norayne is amazing! I am very particular about my hair cuts and colors, she always pays close attention when I tell her what I want and it ends up looking better then I could have imagined! I have dark blonde hair and the color always looks amazing when she's done (something I'm usually really nervous about). Her prices are excellent especially based on the quality of the cuts! She's super friendly and easy to get ahold of. I would recommend her to anyone! read more

I have lived in Chicago for just about 4 years. During that time I have tried quite a few stylist none of which have worked out, in which case has driven me to work in hair appointments when I travel back to Michigan every now and then. My dear friend suggested I give Norayne a try. Trusting my friend I made an appointment with Norayne and LOVED her and my hair! I am happy to say that I no longer need to travel back to Michigan for haircuts and color! read more

Norayne's Studio Salon is fantastic! It is her own studio within a hallway of multiple studios. Norayne is extremely talented and is always learning the latest techniques. Her prices are very reasonable, especially in this city. My cousin gets her color done here and she does a fabulous job on that as well. If you are looking for a great cut, good conversation, and the one and one attention, then you should definitely go here! read more

Norayne is amazing; I trust her explicitly and have referred multiple friends to her. I can walk in with a new idea and she magically transforms my hair into whatever I describe. She always listens.
