THE BEST SALON IN THE BURBS! I came here look for hair extensions since my hair never grows I was willing to do anything... She pointing me in the direction of "DREAMCATCHER" I fell in love! Best human hair and it last 6-8 weeks and they are very reasonable price! I've had the same extension for over a year! I just come back 6-8 weeks to get them moved up! So with this said if your looking for amazing, friendly and awesome salon this is the place!

after Oloplex Treatment & a lot of products! But enlarge- so you can see damage! Where's your Cosmetology licence???

Donna is also wonderful at "blonding", something I did not realize when I first started going to her.

I had hoped for a facial and the Aveda Aqua Massage. When I checked in for my appointments, they asked for my Groupon for the Aveda Sensory Facial. The Groupon was scanned and nothing was said to me. Not until I was in my robe and in the treatment room. The aesthetician told me that I had used a Groupon in the past (which must've been years ago) and they either couldn't honor it or I could use it towards paying the full price of the facial. I forgot if I had used one years ago. The aesthetician talked to me about my massage. And it was just a salt scrub. I said no it was supposed to be the aqua Massage. And she said that wasn't what was booked. And I don't do those you'd have to see a regular masseuse for that. I just agreed to go along because I wanted to have a nice experience, but it wasn't looking too good. The salt scrub was OK but if it lasted a half hour I would be surprised. Between the "hour" facial and the body scrub I was in the room for maybe an hour and a half. The service was OK. Then I went into the steam shower area, which is always nice. I got dressed and I went to check out at the front desk I wanted a copy of the receipt because of the difference in cost with the facial and the massage. The woman said we only email them. I should've waited for my email before leaving. When I did receive the email I had started driving. So on my receipt, they did not give me the full $79 credit that I paid for my Groupon. They only gave me $63 in credit. Also, there's a $4 additional charge on the receipt. I called back that afternoon and had to leave a message because the recording said they were busy. No one returned my call. I called back the following day and was told that the additional $4 charge was to help offset the cost of the keeping the exceptional experience at the Asha Salon Spa??? I was told that they only applied $63 of my Groupon because they have to pay Groupon the $16 back. And that's how Groupon makes money. I have never heard of that before and I've used Groupon for years. They stood by their comments. I sent an email to Groupon who was supposed to get back to me within a week. I have not heard from them. At this point, I don't think I'll be using Groupon. If I do use Asha Salon spa in the future, I would make sure and double check I have the services I wanted, the prices and the length of the treatment clearly defined before I checked in for my appointment. It was clearly disappointing and not the experience that I've had in the past.

The consultation was quick and easy to book online. During my appointment, she mentioned several times how damaged and "green" my hair looked from box dye. I understood she was being informative, but hearing it repeatedly felt a bit discouraging. Not everyone can afford $600-$700 salon visits or avoid box dye completely, so I wish that had been said with a little more sensitivity. The balayage itself turned out nice, though the appointment took about six hours, which felt long in the past others have take. 4 hours max with my hair the same length. My bangs didn't get as layered as expected. She's direct and professional, and the salon is clean and easy to schedule with. Overall, talented stylist, just expect higher pricing, a long session, and a straightforward personality.

Just rude. That is the main point. results are average. You can spend a little time and drive out to a more reputable black hair care salon. Not sure why the 2 black salons in the burbs that I am aware of - are so damn ignorant to the customer. This is why the black community doesn't support black owned businesses long term. Very rude, and not customer service driven. I get wanting to make a profit, but at the expense of service ? This place is horrible, and uncomfortable to be in - when you feel like the owner does not even want you there. She has a huge attitude, and does not care about customer feedback. Her crappy attitude has gone back to before I had a kid. More than 5 years. If Tanya is still being rude, and cavalier about new customers, she isn't going to change anything now. Don't waste your time unless you want to be made to feel like you don't deserve to get your hair done in this person's salon.

Its been a few months since I have gone. I decided to give myself some time in order to have a clear review without hostility. I will be honest though. My first visit I came for a simple blow out. I stated that when I called and as a reminder message to let her know I was coming that morning. I spoke with her directly, not another member of the salon. When I came in, it was about 9am. Very early as I liked. She only had 1 client in her chair, and looked at me as if I was not meant to be there. There was no one waiting mind you. Just 2 clients (including me). She barely said hello. Then demanded I hang up my coat, instead of introducing herself. I let her know I had an appointment and I waited. Then she told me who she was, and she was the person I had spoken with. Long story short... I was at this salon for 4 hours. She took 3 clients who seemed to be family and friends and seemed to have forgotten me in the back after a wash. Her son was there helping as well, as she claimed she was short staffed. 2 other workers were there besides her son. He was very lovely. She seemed to yell at him often which I took as disrespectful. There are better ways to handle family who work with you, and she failed. Moving on... My Hair style... She cut my hair. I did not tell her I needed a cut. As she blow dried it, she asked about a trim. I said no, as I had previously had one 2 weeks prior and wanted to wait. She then decided to start cutting my hair anyway. I knew I should have stopped her but my head was down and I was distracted by my daughter. Once she started, I just let her continue. I didnt want any negativity and figured since it was my first time, I'd let it go. I literally spent 4 hours that day there, and paid $90 for a simple blow out (on medium-short NATURAL Hair), that came with an unexpected hair CUT/"trim!" I went a second time. I attempted to give her the benefit of a doubt as I thought maybe she really was just short staffed the previous visit. Long story short... SHAME ON ME!! I spent 2.5 hours there. Most of it was in the back room once again. I don't believe she manages her time well. My hair mind you is not very long at all. Her attitude was a tad aggressive but then again that is her salon so who am I to judge. She doesnt give tips on what you can do to protect your hair, and she didnt recommend anything for mine. Perhaps I didnt need it but still its good to do. I will probably never return as it was very pricey in the first place. Money is never a matter, when you have good product performance and a good experience i.e. You walk out proud and feel beautiful because your hair looks amazing and makes you feel good. It just wasn't worth it to me. I thought I'd try someone new near home (Spyce) but it did not work out. We are currently in lock down so I have not been to a shop lately, but I have since returned to my old hair salon in Algonquin. They always have my blow outs in and out done within an hours time even with clients, and my hair feels like feathers and makes me feel good. Oh and the prices... I've NEVER spent more than $65 and thats including the tip. The location is similar to Schaumburg, and in a booming area but perhaps that is why prices are different too.
