I got a great hair cut with Jill. She listened to everything I said, took her time and provided the best haircut I have had in years. Also got a color consultation, that sounds good. The cut and dye were fantastic. The staff were wonderful. My problems were two. EXCEEDINGLY expensive and the dye job took forever. I have purple highlights put in my hair. Usually when I get my hair done, it takes about an hour and a half. They took 4 hours. The cut and dye cost nearly 500. read more

Jeanine colored my hair for the first time and I was very happy with the way it turned out. I wanted low lights in my hair and was what I expected. I could get even more contrast in the future if I decide to. The vibe was much better here than the last place I went to for about a year. I felt like I belonged here. It was not cliquish like the other place where I felt out of place. I felt comfortable and staff at the front desk was very friendly. My former salon took 3 hours to do my hair. Absolutely wonderful! This was my first time at this salon. I had a semi formal function to attend and wanted an updo. When I called to make my appointment the person was very nice, and explained the pricing. The salon is very clean, great music, and the interaction between hairstylists was funny. Jill did my hair. I went in with a picture of what I wanted, and she nailed it! Jill is very professional, listened to what I wanted/didn't want, and is a great conversationalist. They have lists at the front desk of all the hairstylists account names so you can tip them via, Zelle, Venmo, or another way. LOVE this salon and Jill. Thank you Jill. Finally made it in a long overdue haircut! My first time at HIP Salon so I can only share based on one visit. From the text confirmation, pre-call to talk about COVID-19 and the ease of the entire process, it was a wonderful first experience. Kimora, my stylist, is outstanding and makes some helpful recommendations and gave me great tips for continued styling and maintenance of my hair. She's a very caring and professional stylist. I appreciated seeing that everyone in the salon, customers and staff, wore masks and were continuously cleaning and sanitizing. They check your temp before entering right now too. Price for my cut and style was consistent with other salons I've visited in Schaumburg but I didn't feel like I receieved the same quality level of service at those other salons.
