I've frequented this location a few times with my husband for lunch; it's always busy; the service is good depending on the waiter/waitress you get. I love their lunch combo plates, because it gives you a sample of a few things. Lately they've been serving this peanut soup, that in my opinion is not good at all; but my husband likes it. I usually end up getting the beef stir fry or the combo plate with the pad Thai and curry. It's ok; they do have large portions.... But the food isn't super spectacular. The Thai tea however is very good. Now I have been to the Frisco location near David's Bridal and that location was very good. read more

New experience. I tried the veggie spring rolls, soft shell crab, veggie fried rice. Nice combination of flavors. I enjoyed the rice the most. It was perfectly cooked and tasty on its own. The rolls were crispy. The soft shell crab came with rice noodles that had crab meat in it. I was expecting the soft shell crab to be crispy since it was fried. The flavor of the fish was good. After a while the few shells here and there threw the experience off. Overall, I do look forward to trying something else on the menu. The food is good and you just have to make sure you will thoroughly enjoy what you choose. It was packed when I picked up my to go to order. So the proof is in the crowd. read more

There were small gnats in our water and we let the server know. She apologized and brought us fresh water....which again had more gnats in it. We let a different server know and they got us more water which finally was bug free. No offers to discount the food and no apologies the second time. Food was ok, I actually really liked the pad thai. The pad see ew wasnt very good but i would have come back for more pad thai if i wasn't so concerned about the cleanliness of this place. We won't be back and I hope they go through and clean the restaurant and keep it up to code. What a disgusting experience! read more

First time eating at this place and I thought it was great. The place is small and it was not packed when I went. The service we received was great. The food was great. I love a place with exceptional service, and this place has it. The servers came frequently to check up on us to see if we were ready to order or to see if we needed anything. They were also super friendly. Food-wise, the place was pretty good. I ordered the Pad See Eew and the overall flavors were very good and the portions were large. However, many pieces of what I believe was Asian broccoli was tough and not rly edible. The beef wasn't particularly tender either. However, other than those two things, the overall flavors of the dish were still really good. I would definitely come here again and try something new. read more

No soup for you! I usually come at lunchtime and I love their Tom Yum soup. It comes with the lunch menu items. Their dinner menu offers a meal size bowl, but I don't care to have soup for dinner, so I ordered Spicy Thai Basil and a cup of Tom Yum soup on the side, just like they have at lunchtime. The soup is already made. How hard is it to ladle a cup? Nope. They would not budge. Either the large bowl or nothing. I spoke to the manager and he said he wasn't allowed to accommodate customer requests. That's too bad. They are obviously more concerned about their processes than making a customer happy. Went here with boyfriend and his family. First, 2 appetizers. Vegetarian spring rolls and fried water spinach. Spring rolls were kind of average, but piping hot and fresh. Fried water spinach was something none of us have had before. Huge portion and sauce had great peanut flavor and sweet/tangy/savory. For entree, I got spicy soba noodles with cashew chicken. Very delicious and flavorful on my first bite! As I ate more though, I felt like it was just a tad too salty. I did appreciate the steamed bok choy on the side. Boyfriend got soft shell crab noodles. I stole some and it was sooo good. Not as salty as mine. By the way, the portion sizes were crazy big, which is awesome cuz I've enough for lunch and maybe a snack tomorrow lol BUT!!!!! The reason why I'm only giving them 3 and not 5 stars is 2 things. 1. For a party of 5, they automatically charged 18% tip. I don't remember if their menu (or anywhere else) mentioned this, but I feel like it's usually for 6+ people that this applies?? 2 (the main reason). Boyfriend's mom got food poisoning when we got back.... Super bad vomiting and diarrhea.... Pretty much incapacitated for the rest of the night. The only thing she ate that no one else ate, was her papaya salad, which she said actually wasn't as flavorful as Jasmine Thai's (on Spring Creek and Custer in Plano) so she only ate 1/4 of her plate and brought the rest back home. So far, no one else is sick *yet*.... Tldr- food tastes great, portions are awesome. But weird 18% tip added to check for 5 people and 1 person in our party got bad food poisoning. I might give them another try, won't ever get/recommend the papaya salad though. read more

I could not WAIT to write a review! I'm still sitting in the restaurant as i'm writing this. I've grown accustomed to lazy, non-caring, and badly ran business but this place is far from that. Each employee is very invested and caring of your experience here and ask you how the food is and truly wants you to have a great experience so that alone shows a well running and proper value driven business. As I sat and looked at each one of the waiters they would consult and discuss each food choice with each customer to insure that their experience was great. Now beyond that... the food. I would have licked my bowl if it were publicly acceptable. For spice level i like a good amount of spicy but not too spicy so id recommend the level 3 for the Red Curry was perfect spice level. I usually get fried rice when I come here , but decided to try something different . I'm a mega fan of Singapore rice noodles, so I tried their version . They use a flat noodle and they definitely have a different spin . The flavor is Similar to the ones I get my Chinese food spots, but their version is sweet and not spicy at all . This little place is a gem! I had been wanting to try this place because it is close to my new apartment and I love Thai food. After a day of doctor appointments, voting, and some shopping I decided to check them out. The inside is beautifully decorated with teal, blue and green waves on the wall. The main dinning room is a bit dark but perfect for a dinner date. I am an older lady with some mobility difficulties but they offered me a seat near the window that was a bit more lighted, however, there was a small step up, maybe like two inches but a little difficult to maneuver with bad knees and a cane. The young man who was seating me was kind enough to offer his arm to assist my step up. I did get up to use the restroom and every time I needed help he dashed across the room to assist my stepping up and down. I ordered my favorite dish Pad Kee Mow and chicken spring rolls. The portions were huge. I wish there was an option to order just two crispy spring rolls because that's all one person really needs to eat and they get soggy if you take them home. The Pad Kee Mow was excellent, just the right level of spice, the best I ever had. Most restaurants fill the plate with noodles but this had plenty of chicken and vegetables with the noodles. I ended up taking quite a lot home and got two more meals out of it. Looking forward to future visits. read more

Genuinely the worst food I've eaten. My girlfriend threw up right after in the parking lot. We've had plenty of great thai food across Texas and the US. Never ever had I had food this bad. Dumplings - super old, super chewy. You could easily tell that the wrapper was days old and that the dumplings were sitting out for a while too. The after waste was super off, could not have more than 1. Crab Rangoons - under cooked, had pockets of oil hidden that burnt my girlfriends fingers. Honestly could press charges for this. Roti Curry - Roti was raw. Curry was EXTREMELY heavy. Couldn't have more than a couple bites. Salmon Curry - Salmon tasted off. no curry at all in this dish. also had the same grimey taste as the dumplings. I don't know where all the good reviews come from. But this is in McKinney, where there are only bad food options around, so maybe that's why. read more

This place is pretty good for Thai food. Came here during lunch and they also have really good lunch specials. Only critique I had was when we ordered spicy, the order did not come out spicy at all, which is really odd for a Thai restaurant. Pad Thai (5/5): I really liked this pad thai, large protioned and very good. Khao Soi (4/5): Really thick and filling. I could do without the large crunchy thing in the middle. I think its just to make the dish look good. Some of my friends got the lunch special which was also very large portioned! You could probably share it between two people. read more

Decided since I was craving some spicy curry soup I'd give this place a whirl. I originally was going to the pho place nearby, but it was closed. I was immediately seated for weekday lunch and promptly given my drink. My server was a young man who was very attentive. He explained the different curries and said that any curry, including the Indian yellow, could be made spicier. They do a scale of 1 mild to 5 spiciest. Me being me....I went with the 5. They also serve a complimentary peanut soup that was fantastic. My curry didn't disappoint. It was amply filled with shrimp and carrot and potato. It came with jasmine rice. The potato and carrot needed a little more time to cook in my opinion, as it was a little sturdier than I'm used to. While the 5 was spicy, I mentioned to the server that for me, I need things spicier. I want to break into a sweat lol. He said they could make it spicier and that 5 is really just a negotiating thing lol. You can always tell them you want it higher. He even offered to remake it, which I declined. A very solid restaurant on the side of hwy 75 that under normal circumstances would be easy to get to. But due to the craziness that is Mckinney construction, might require a little bit more patience. The menu actually had a lot of items that I rarely see at other Thai restaurants, and Lily F. is a sucker for trying the new stuff. Typically, a large menu seems overwhelming to me but Noodle Wave's had a lot of interesting items that intrigued me to where I would want to come back. I opted for the southern rice curry. Yellow sticky, sweet rice with shredded coconut with a spicy curry with potatoes. My buddy ordered the Singapore noodles and it tasted very flavorful, not greasy or heavy like most places. I've already reviewed this place a few years back, but I went there last night and I wanted to write another review. Last time I gave it 4, this time it was a 5. After the place we had planned to go to lost our reservation and couldn't seat us, we opted for this place because we knew it would be good. No reservation, but we were seated immediately even though it was Saturday night. They were busy, but the service was perfect. Our server was attentive without hovering, we barely had to wait for anything. Dishes: I had roti curry with tofu, my husband had sukiyaki. Both were excellent. We also split an order of shrimp summer rolls, and those were quite good, too (the peanut sauce was not too sweet, they didn't skimp on the shrimp, and they tasted fresh, perfect for a hot day). The roti curry I got was rich without being overly heavy. I was shocked by the portion considering the price, and I couldn't even come close to finishing it but I'm look forward to the leftovers. My husband had never had sukiyaki before and he really enjoyed it. I tried his and the vegetables had a nice crunch to them and the seasoning was on point. I hope this place never closes. read more

We have an 18 month old, who I'm sure is everyone's least favorite customer, but after seating us, they brought her a water with a lid without us even asking. Came her because of the reviews and was surprised to see a lunch deal on the menu. It was a no brainier to try out and order it for $10. It was was delicious you get soup, two entrees (Noodle and Curry) and ice cream of your choice. The service was fast and the lunch was very filling. I've been to the one in Spring Valley and was pretty impressed with that place, so I figured it would be the same and it would be an added plus that it was so close to home. It was pretty busy for a Monday evening. We had a party of 7, therefore we needed to wait. My husband and I ordered a set of curry puffs, the pineapple fried rice, and the soft shell crab noodle dish, and 2 Thai teas. Curry Puffs: The pastry was crispy and warm. It wasn't very spicy and tasted pretty good, but make sure you pour some of the sauce onto it. Pineapple Fried Rice: Not very impressive. Not very flavorful, with an average amount of meat and veggies cooked in it. The pineapples weren't sweet so perhaps it was real pineapple instead of the can. It was a generous portion however, because I could only eat half of it. Soft Shell Crab: The crab was good, although it wasn't crispy by the time it arrived on the table. The accompanying noodles were delicious with the right amount of seasoning and flavor, but it's the thin vermicelli noodles. Overall: This place wasn't too bad, but it wasn't great either. I would come back to try the curry dishes, because that's what I ate at another location and that tasted really good. read more

I was here on a Saturday, having to undergo the unpleasant experience of eating all by myself. The food and the service at the noodle wave made it more than bearable.
