We have a favorite Thai place in Frisco but decided to come here while our car was being serviced at a local dealership. The waitstaff are friendly and courteous, and the food is good. We showed up at 1:30 on a Saturday, and they were not very busy. I had the pad thai with chicken and tofu, which was very good. It is a huge portion, though, definitely big enough for two ( I took most of mine to go!). My boyfriend had the Yellow Curry with Chicken, which comes with Jasmine rice, and ordered brown rice. I don't really like yellow curry, but this was really quite tasty! Again, huge portion big enough for two people. He also took most of his home. We did order the summer rolls as an appetizer, which were okay. The peanut sauce that comes with them is fabulous, and made the summer rolls taste better. All in all a very nice experience. Food was delicious and would get a 5 Star however I was very disappointed in their lack of flexibility in ordering. I specifically explained that I recently had surgery and could not eat much and am here out of town and hence couldn't just take extras home. I asked to order a kids meal; most restaurants, chain or family owned, are very accommodating but not this one. They wouldn't allow me to order a kids meal nor a smaller size portion. It was full size dinner meal only. The restaurant wasn't busy so it didn't seem like a huge ask but they refused. So if you're hungry.....this is your place. Food is good and servings are huge. The Hot Pot soup was delicious! The food was just average. Everything was really sweet, even their teas/coffee. The only thing that wasn't so sweet was the Green Curry and that too if you eat a lot of rice with it. The Pad Thai was drenched in sugar, literally just had one bite of it and stopped. The Sriracha Chicken was sweet too, but good. Kind of tasted like orange chicken. I don't really like sweetened savory food. They do cater, but I think their food is just okay. . Very delightful lunch. I had the Pad Kee Mow and was quite satisfied. This is a chicken based noodle dish. The noodles were fresh and bursting with flavor. The bed of lettuce was cold and crisp and provided a very nice base for the dish. This lunch entree was not very spicy, but just enough to keep you wanting more. Great flavor in the dish! We drive by this place all the time on Hwy 75 but finally decided to try it out. When I think of Thai food I think of hot, spicy, and bright colors. The blue sign they have in their building makes me think they are selling hot tubs or swimming supplies. It was pretty nice inside. Large selection on the menu. Prices were a little on the high side but the food was very good and came out well plated. I ordered the Pad Thai and curry lunch combo and Thai tea. Both were delicious. My wife enjoyed her cashew chicken noodles. The servers seemed to be understaffed but she tried hard to keep up with everyone. The waitstaff seemed to switch frequently between service which caused a lot of confusion - on their own part. My suggestion is to assign one waiter to one table! It was slow-ish and the tables around us seemed frustrated which made us worried when we sat down. One table waited 10 minutes for their ice cream. The woman asked if they were "cooking it in back"....it was hilarious. Our spring chicken rolls were delicious - get them! I had the seafood salad spicy - also great! There was a lot of shrimp, calamari, mussels and a fried type fish. The description only said shrimp and calamari so good thing I like all the other "throw in items". If I could give this place a zero I would. Well for starters I have two kids ages 2yrs and 6months. My two year old was asleep in the small umbrella stroller that you use for traveling. We walk in there the employees immediately come up to me to let me know there was a NO STROLLER POLICY Which is absolutely insane. I'm so disappointed that this review isn't better because Noodle Wave has been on my radar for a while thanks to the great reviews and vegan/vegetarian menu customizations. Unfortunately the udon noodles I ordered for carry out were so unappetizing that I almost called to ask for a refund. I paid and additional $3.50 for extra tofu, yet I received zero pieces of tofu in my meal. Presumably this could have been corrected if I checked before I drove away so I can take blame for that. BUT - I asked for no egg, fish sauce or oyster sauce to keep my meal veg-friendly, and I guess I assumed they would adjust the seasoning appropriately. I also requested it be "spice level 2" but the whole dish was so bland I can't imagine they added anything besides oil. The size and flavor of my meal was like purchasing an Annie Chung's udon bowl for $3 and not adding the sauce packet when microwaving. The only different was that this meal cost me over $14. read more

I enjoy coming here when I need my quick fix of Thai food. It's a little watered down and pricy but the lunch specials are good. I usually get the curry there and it has not disappointed. I always stop at Noodle Wave when I'm in town in Frisco, Texas. This was a regular staple at least 2-3 times a month when I lived nearby. Always great service and always high-quality food that is well plated with very fresh quality ingredients. I wish more Thai places were like this place. Was looking for a Thai restaurant in McKinney to grab some Pho on Sunday afternoon and came across this restaurant. I wish I would have kept on looking...Lady who was serving our table appeared very unhappy to be there and to serve us. Provided short and what it appeared sarcastic responses to questions regarding items on the menu. We ordered appetizer that never made it to out table. My wife had Tam Yom soup and she said that it was bar far the worst Tamimi Yom soup she had thus far. My Pho soup had more onions than noodles and these were not thinly sliced onions, these were thick pieces of onions, which I spent few minutes removing. Waiter never acknowledged or apologized that she forgot about our appetizer either. Definitely would never go back to Noodle Wave in McKinney with so many goid Thai restaurants around. We had a very disappointing experience at Noodle Wave in McKinney. We had placed a order for pick up. After opening the meal at home, we discovered chicken all over my daughters noodles. We are vegetarian for religious reasons and cannot eat the noodles. Double checked the receipt and it clearly said ordered veggie noodles. Called the restaurant and they basically has no desire to fix the issue. We were told to bring it in so they know we are not lying. We offered to send a photo of the dish and to return it if they would send someone to pick it up. For being long time customers of this place, it's disappointing they do not trust their customers. They refused to apologize and refused to credit the order and didn't care to see the photo of the messed up order. We did not have any desire to load chicken in our car to drive back and prove we were being honest. It is unfortunate that this small business has no customer service manners and refuses to acknowledge a problem. We will not be returning to this restaurant ever again! read more

Our waitress was too busy watching the Texas/OU game to properly serve us. It's really disheartening to need refills or condiments & you look up & see staff watching tv. We asked for a side of coconut milk to cool our soup down that was hot. We waited so long for it that we had to get up & go to the bar & ask for it again to find out that part of the delay was due to the inattentive waitress who had made the milk hot which we did not ask her to do & also defeated the purpose. The atmosphere seemed ok. Was definitely a little cramped & my food was nothing to jump up & down about. I will never come here again or recommend anyone just based on the poor service alone.
