The burger is exploding with flavour which is incredible because they don't put too many toppings on the burger and highly recommend for something local. Except why I give it four stars is because you don't get sides and have to buy both which is also expensive. Lots of restaurants in Winnipeg have more to offer at a lower price. read more

+.5 for service This place definitely looks like somewhere the upper-middle class hang out. It's such a cozy environment inside, and everyone I saw inside was very well dressed. I went here with a few friends, one who was visiting the city for the first time. The food menu isn't extensive, but multiple reviews have mentioned Le Burger is the only item one should order here, so that's what most of us did. Portion-wise it's not the biggest. Quality though? I'd say it's the best burger in the city in terms of rich flavourness. Sure it's not the biggest, but for this place it's the quality that stands out. In addition to the burger, we also shared a beef tartare. It was good as well, somewhat pricey at $22 given the portion size but it does its job as a shared plate. Service was excellent here. Definitely would return for special occasions whenever I have friends over (a bit bougee for me to consider going multiple times a month). read more

Came with my family on a Friday night after tasting their beers at the Alleyways market. I really loved their Rice Lager and was excited to try other beers. The brewery has a modern, lounge vibe on the inside and a large patio area in the back. Perfect for the summer. Food is limited, but they offer a burger and light bites like buratta, chips and dip, and charcuterie. I tried their Nifty Lemongrass and Lychee seltzer. It was so refreshing and blasting with flavor. It's a little sweet, but I loved the overall look of the can and taste. Highly recommend to hang with friends or to grab a pint! read more

Beautiful brasserie style gastropub with fabulous beer selection. We booked for their special dinner and a show ( symphony or theatre but you can just do the dinner I think). This is our fourth time doing this. It is a Michelin quality experience. There is a special 4 course menu with beer pairings. The food is not on the regular menu which is also tasty. We had still warm dense soda bread with cheddar and herbs served with herbed butter, grilled polenta with savoury tomato vinaigrette sauce topped with crispy shallots, creamy smoked tomato vodka sauce rigatoni, pan seared pickerel with huge mussels done ceviche style with charred cabbage and a parsnip cake with honey cream cheese topping and walnut brittle. Awesome little brewery tucked in the city! We stopped by after a late dinner to grab a drink and were very impressed by the place. The inside is dark and modern, and gave off NYC kinda vibes. I ordered the honeydew (I think that's what it was called??) and it was very yummy. Super flavorful and juicy. Overall, it's a great place to grab a late night drink or catch up. The cool laid back vibe with green velvet couches with tables, cozy table seating for 2 and the quiet corner spot we were seated at was the perfect way to spend an evening. Great vibe! Amazing cheeseburger $14 - double patty Brisket and Chuck Smashed Patties, Cheddar, Melted Onions and Dill Aioli. Get the Prairie Common beer $8 and chips avec dip and you are set. The food menu changes fairly often and is as good as their beer. Mussels were excellent and so was their tomato salad. Good patio space but the interior space is where it's at with the cool ceiling furniture. Not your typical looking brewery - it's like a cool lounge vibe. Easily the ritziest looking brewery I've ever been to. The velvet seats and the leather decor inside make this brewery feel much more high end feeling. So much so that I've seen it's gorgeous backdrop in a wedding photo shoot. The beer selection was decent with a solid selection of varying beer styles. The food was fantastic with shareable portions. We tried the burger, chips and dip, beef tartare, ricotta gnudi, burrata and the basque cheesecake. Great sharing portion sizes. Also, loved the QR code menu ordering, it was smooth and seamless. What a great atmosphere! While there are only a few beers on tap regularly, the open concept group seating and walk up to the taps service is very unique. The decor is super classy and it's great for groups. If you're a little anti-social, there is a small bar top facing the wall where you can be alone or do your own thing. Grab the couch seating to meet new people or play a game of crib. This is a real great hang out place but you'll have to develop a taste of the beer. No food here. Just popcorn and nuts so this is a good drink and dash spot or load up your belly and stop in for several glasses. Unless you've got a group of 4+, DO NOT get the large order of popcorn.. it's huge and two people can't finish it. Popcorn portions are very generous. read more

Awful service! Stood at the door waiting to be seated for about ten minutes and all the female staff were doing were chatting with each other and no acknowledgement from any of them! Then when two staff did come to the front entrance desk, still none acknowledged anyone that was standing in line. Not a smile, not a "we will be with you right away" etc. rude, condensing staff! First time at Nonsuch. Always look forward to trying the offerings of a new brew pub (new to us). Our server was knowledgeable about the different brews and food and kindly provided some tasters so we could make an informed decision about our brew choice. Enjoyed the beers we ordered. We also ordered some shareable items (olives, chips with dip, beer battered onion rings) along with chicken burger and The Burger. All of the foods were very very good. But all 5 of us were of one mind that The Burger was the best burger that any of us had ever eaten. OMG It was absolutely scrumptious with unparalleled flavour. Hats off to the Nonsuch. A very nice place to relax and have some good beer! I was staying over an extra day in Winnipeg as I could not make a flight connection and decide to see some of the sights. I ended my day very comfortably at NonSuch Brewery. The brewery is conveniently located within a short walk from the concert center and Manitoba Museum. It is delightfully quite a different atmosphere than most rustic breweries with a very trendy and comfortable seating area which lends it self well to the Belgian beers they specialize in. After a nice discussion with one of the staff, I tried and enjoyed a 3 oz. pour of their tripel and saison they had on tap. While it's not as good as some of the Belgian beers I have had in my travels to Belgium or the Netherlands, they were better than others I have had there as well. I would definitely encourage some one drop in, relax and imbibe a few brews if in the area. Unfortunately, I did not try their food menu as I had just eaten before going to the brewery. read more
