Two mini beer flights. Prairie common, Belgian blonde, Bourbon barrel aged ale, Baltic Porter

Walking in was not what we expected. The cool laid back vibe with green velvet couches with tables, cozy table seating for 2 and the quiet corner spot we were seated at was the perfect way to spend an evening. Our server was attentive and helpful - only checking in when necessary. Nonsuch is now a must do when in the Exchange District and the beer was pretty damn good too!!

Great vibe! Amazing cheeseburger $14 - double patty Brisket and Chuck Smashed Patties, Cheddar, Melted Onions and Dill Aioli. Get the Prairie Common beer $8 and chips avec dip and you are set. The food menu changes fairly often and is as good as their beer. Mussels were excellent and so was their tomato salad. Good patio space but the interior space is where it's at with the cool ceiling furniture. Not your typical looking brewery - it's like a cool lounge vibe. The staff are all very friendly and nice.

Easily the ritziest looking brewery I've ever been to. The velvet seats and the leather decor inside make this brewery feel much more high end feeling. So much so that I've seen it's gorgeous backdrop in a wedding photo shoot. The beer selection was decent with a solid selection of varying beer styles. The food was fantastic with shareable portions. We tried the burger, chips and dip, beef tartare, ricotta gnudi, burrata and the basque cheesecake. Great sharing portion sizes. Also, loved the QR code menu ordering, it was smooth and seamless. Beers came out fast and food soon followed. Would come back here again.

What a great atmosphere! While there are only a few beers on tap regularly, the open concept group seating and walk up to the taps service is very unique. The decor is super classy and it's great for groups. If you're a little anti-social, there is a small bar top facing the wall where you can be alone or do your own thing. Grab the couch seating to meet new people or play a game of crib. This is a real great hang out place but you'll have to develop a taste of the beer. No food here. Just popcorn and nuts so this is a good drink and dash spot or load up your belly and stop in for several glasses. Unless you've got a group of 4+, DO NOT get the large order of popcorn.. it's huge and two people can't finish it. Popcorn portions are very generous.

It was a good location for us being in the south end of the city. The centre was clean, updated and neutral. They had a really great set up whether you were to have your social, wedding or conference here. Their pricing was excellent for the service you got. They set up everything for us - all we needed to do was place our prizing. They also completely cleaned and took everything down so when 1am hit we could just go home. The staff was very friendly and Quincy was a life saver many times. The communication was spot on and I would recommend this venue to anyone!

I attended a wedding here recently and had average hopes that it would be a nice venue. Yes, I…read morerealize it's a community centre but it seems so new that I thought it would be a decent venue for a wedding. Maybe this place looked good when it first opened but the place needs to be freshened up. The washrooms looked quite used and has seen better times. The courtyard looked run down and had a few picnic tables. The main hall is fairly large but the decor is pretty dated. Only when the lights are dimmed does the banquet hall look okay. The cash bar is ridiculously overpriced at $5.50 for bad wine (but the cheap wine selection is likely attributed to the bridge & groom) and $5.00 for any other mixed drink like rye & coke or beer. Those prices seemed a bit steep as I asked others what they thought of the pricing. But then again, I think cash bars for an entire reception is pretty lame. Can you not afford to treat your family and friends for an hour or two of booze and then switch to a cash bar? I digress. The food was terrible which is a shock because this place runs a cafe that's connected to this centre that serves up Italian-style lunch buffet during the weekday called "Cafe 13." They only charge like $28 per plate for chicken dinners - this includes, bread, salad, entree with 2 sides and a dessert. I never have high hopes for wedding food but I barely ate mine. The best parts of the meal were the very average tasting dinner buns. The salad was soggy as it was likely dressed too early, then the chicken stuffed with ham and cheese was greasy and unappetizing. The side dishes were also very greasy. The chocolate cake dessert was a bit dry but ranks as the second best item of that night after the dinner buns. The bartenders and servers were nice and had interesting personalities. But in terms of food and overall venue, I wouldn't recommend this for a wedding unless you have no other choice and if you are bringing in your own caterer. Plus, the location of this place is off of Wilkes, in a very industrial area so it's not even scenic enough to take photos around here.

Wow - I'm really surprised to see such a low rating average for this particular Rec Room location…read morebecause when I came here with my friend, we had a great experience. In my opinion, this is one of the better Rec Room locations out there. Possibly even the best location? I have no idea what the other locations across the country are like, but I'm specifically referring to the other locations in London, Mississauga and Downtown Toronto. There's a large variety of games, and the place is much bigger than the other Rec Room locations I mentioned. Plus, the games are relatively easy to win. I, as well as my friend, managed to get a few jackpots in! Some games were out of order, but thankfully not enough for me to overly notice or complain over. Broken games are unfortunately just simply what arcades are like anywhere. Perhaps the low rating is related to the food or drinks here. I did not come here for the food as I always think of the games here when I think of The Rec Room, nor did I consume any food or drinks. I'm not from the Winnipeg area presently, but I have every intent to return here if I'm back!

However, our table didn't work so we were directed to go to other tables and the bar itself to use their to make our order. The drinks took forever to come, and the food didn't come at all for about 45 minutes. Our final boarding call came before the food arrived and we had to chase down the server and get our food put in containers to go. The was less than half full. No excuse for this, especially at an airport. Further, when the food and drink finally did start arriving after our third boarding call, it started arriving at the wrong tables because we had been forced to use the QR codes at other tables. By this time, other people were sitting there and it created mass confusion. Overall, an absolutely terrible experience that could've been resolved instantly had the simply taken our order in person. I love the little markets they have here and the sparkling water drink called "Brite Water." It's not too sparkling or fizzy, and it has a nice flavor. The pretzel meal item was pretty delicious and dipping it in ranch was a good idea. The hummus pretzel dish on the second visit was less delicious and enjoyable. It felt more like a healthy snack. That day I was a bit stressed out and the vibe seemed different. Overall I think this is a nice place.
