They gave me a call roughly an hour before they came so we could prep for them and didn't complain at all when they couldn't get their truck up our steep driveway(not their fault, it's a VERY steep driveway and a VERY big truck). They were quick, prompt, professional, and very friendly. They also were quick to adapt when there was a last minute change in where we were going to meet and were easy to communicate with both via yelp and phone. 10/10, would and will be using these guys again in the future and would recommend them to anyone looking for movers; especially up here on the mountain.

Based on reviews, I trusted. Initially, movers were to be there between 12:00pm and 12:30pm. Once they were late I called and was told that they got tied up on the move before mine and were running late. Ok. Things happen and that's reasonable. But was still assured not to worry. They eventually arrived at 8PM. Now I was worried. Towards the end of loading (which I and my son helped with, even though we were paying for it), I was told that they could hold my stuff overnight and deliver first thing in the morning since it was already 10:45PM. I knew I should've trusted my gut. All in all, I was quoted initially $1,000 and ended up paying just shy of $2,000 (including tips for the movers who were very good) Not vacating the property cost me another $500 because my escrow contract dictated a $500 penalty per day. Peter assured me not to worry. Two dining room chairs were broken by one of the movers. That's ok, these things happen especially during a household move. My calls and voicemails to Peter were never returned on how I can file a claim. Well, I guess I have to eat that cost as well. Lessons for others: 1) Don't accept or agree to an afternoon move. Try for a morning one. So in case you want your washer and dryer hooked up, fridges, etc. All these ancillary items will push back the afternoon appointments. 2) Understand the difference between binding and non-binding estimates. 3) Review the option for insurance and also consider third party insurance The good part about this were the actual movers. These guys all hustled. Carlos (seemed to be the supervisor of the other 3 guys) was awesome. Nothing but kudos to the guys that did the actual heavy lifting and moving.

I contacted Ryan and his team on Monday, and he came to our home the very next day for a walkthrough to discuss all the details. He was incredibly helpful, accommodating our tight timeline and providing very reasonable pricing. His communication throughout the week was clear and consistent, and he even shared helpful moving tips that made a big difference. On moving day, Ryan and his team did a fantastic job. I was completely overwhelmed by the amount of belongings we had and the logistics of such a large move, but they were calm, reassuring, and so professional. They truly made the entire process smooth and stress-free. They handled all the heavy lifting so we could focus on the personal items we wanted to transport ourselves. Because we had to pack in a rush, we didn't do the best job organizing everything, but they came in and secured everything carefully and efficiently. Delivery and unloading at our new home went just as smoothly. I can't say enough about the stress they relieved and the weight they lifted off our shoulders. Ryan and his team were warm, friendly, and an absolute pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Extra Mile Movers as they truly live up to their name and go the extra mile for their customers.

During the move, her TV was damaged and now only displays a white screen when powered on. In addition, the entire top surface of an antique dresser was scratched. When I contacted Ryan to report the damage and request insurance information, I was initially told the items were already in that condition. After further discussion, it became clear that there was no valid insurance coverage provided for the move. The following day, several gold necklaces belonging to my grandmother could not be located. I reached out again to report the missing items, but my calls were not returned and my number was blocked. I recommend that anyone considering this company take extra precautions: * Confirm active insurance coverage in writing before booking * Document the condition of all items before the move * Ensure a clear, written agreement is in place This was a difficult situation, especially given my grandmother's age, and I hope others can avoid a similar experience.

Troy, thank you so much for your speedy response and for helping me in my last-minute time of need!…read moreTroy, your team exceeded my expectations, and you kept things running smoothly even with minor hiccups. You made things right and did so within the time frame I needed. Please let Andrew and Jesse know that without them and their willingness to put up with me and all of my last-minute changes didn't go unnoticed, those young men were patient, kind, and respectful the entire move I will definitely tell all my friends and family to call MEATHEAD MOVERS, no matter how big or small the move is, you have the team to get the job done in a timely, cost-effective manner!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS I hired them expecting professional…read moreservice, but what I got was a complete breakdown in logistics and a total lack of respect for my property. Save yourself the headache and go with a different company... that is unless you love broken furniture and terrible/non-existent customer service! The company showed up understaffed with fewer workers than we'd contractually agreed to. They didn't send the number of workers promised, which made the entire process slow, disorganized, and ultimately dangerous for my belongings. From the moment they showed up we contacted the company to address the concerns, but given we had everything scheduled logistically to be gone from our house that day, we had no option but to move forward with the smaller worker crew that showed up. Long story short, we wasted twice as long as it should have taken to get everything done due to the lack of movers. And in the process, they managed to completely break some brand new furniture in the process. It was broken so badly that they just threw it away. BUT THE WORST PART IS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE: The "screw-ups" during the move were bad enough, but the aftermath has been even worse. Trying to resolve the damage and the contract breach has been a nightmare. Their customer service is dismissive and completely unwilling to take accountability for their failures. Even today, they were supposed to connect me with their claims manager (after about 5 phone calls and 5 emails), yet failed to do so as they said they would. It's clear they care more about booking jobs than actually fulfilling their contractual obligations or protecting your home. I've had to spend my own time drafting emails and fighting just to get a response regarding the property they destroyed. Do not believe the hype. They are understaffed, they break your furniture, and they will leave you hanging when it comes time to make it right. STAY AWAY.

He committed to 3 movers for 3 hours and then only brought 2 movers no advanced warning or any insight into my actual needs. He then offered a 12% discount per hour for 2 movers instead of 3 which would have cost me at least an $100 more overall. I was willing to pay a 15% less than the agreed rate for a 33% reduction in manpower but he stubbornly refused this compromise. I gladly sent him on his way since he has no business acumen and is lacking ethics. I found other movers within an hour who were great and I gladly tipped them 25% and fed them lunch. The only reason I used your service to move me out of the storage unit was because of the unresolved issue of the dryer, I wasn't sure if it still worked after it was wrefkleslly dropped. I didn't come back because I was thrilled with the first move. You aren't sorry because if you truly were, you would do the right thing, Laron! You should submit a claim with your insurance or help towards replacing my machine...that is not an unreasonable request; but instead you make matters worse by acussing me of making racial comments, and then adding lies. This is not good business practice...these are not qualities of a business person with integrity. Also, you showed up 40 minutes late to the storage facility (the day of the appointment on the 19th of November). You didn't call to say you were behind, I had to call you. Regarding your comment about you showing up two years later, you act like you are doing me a favor....let me remind you that I am a paying customer. I will also remind you of the fact that my last convo with you was less than 27 seconds long, this was when I called to tell you I had to call a repair person, who came to install the part and it could not be fixed. So yet again, you come on here and instead of responding truthfully you tell more lies about how many insults I said to you. I called you out on your character, (because you didn't keep your word and order the part and install it) and I told you about your shady business practices when you refused to assist me by filing an insurance claim to help with the reimbursement of being inconvenience and having to purchase a new washer....again this call was on speaker in front of three witnesses. I have no reason to tell lies, I just want to make the public aware of my unfortunate encounter with you, so they don't end up in my situation. I have three witnesses to say, that the racial comment was not said, in the 27 second phone call that was on speaker...the repair person Alec, my mother, and father. Just so you know, when the dryer fell, my parents were with me waiting for them to unload the last few items into the storage unit and no one slipped as you claim. You were not even there. I was angry but I did not make a scene, I made sure your crew was okay and I reported it to you as a respectable consumer. We couldn't check the dryer to make sure it still worked because my things were being put in storage. You and I both agreed to contact you back when I was ready to move. I knew I was building a new home but I was not aware there would be delays and waitlists resulting in two years later. When I did call you to schedule the move out of storage, you were not easy to reach. It took three attempts because you were not returning my calls or messages. Again, I made the comment about small businesses in my yelp post, because of my experience with your small business with lack of resources, submitting a claim to insurance, and lack of a customer service mindset.... also your unprofessional crew who kept arguing and bickering the whole time...to be honest two of the men where too old to be working in this industry (they appeared to be seniors)...no disrespect...just an honest observation.
