    Seafood Pasta
    Rae F.

I've been to Nonna's a handful of times and have always enjoyed it. Went for a birthday dinner and the service was pleasant. It was a little louder but it was a Saturday night which is to be expected. The food was fantastic as always. Everything came out together and everyone is our party enjoyed their food.

Nonna's has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a casual dinner. The service was friendly, and the staff seemed attentive, though a bit slow at times. The food was good but not outstanding. I had the seafood pasta, and while the portion was generous, it lacked the bold flavor I was hoping for. The shrimp did not seem seasoned at all and barely cooked. They were inedible. The toasted raviolis seemed frozen. The problem I had was the website made them seem authentic but nothing else checked out with that. The live music was good. The prices are reasonable, but I expected more considering the reviews I had seen before. The bread service was great, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again. Worth a try if you're in the area and craving Italian, but manage your expectations.

    Deep fried Lasagna

The service was prompt, the bruschetta was perfect. The bread was crispy, the tomatoes were firm and the olive oil and garlic were a perfect blend. I had the Ragu Lasagna and my wife had the deep fried lasagna. Both were absolutely delicious. This might be a small quaint establishment but the food was grandiose. You have to spoil yourself and make this your holiday dinner stop.

Popped in here while traveling for work alone about 5 pm on a Tuesday. The space is very homey, service was great, food was spectacular. All around great experience at Nonna's, I will be back!

Delightful small local Italian establishment well worth a stop in. We came to springfield to see my mom... and take her out to dinner. She is the local so we trusted her to find the spot. We tried a place before this and there was no parking so she took us down to what I thought was a joke in the wall. I was wrong! It is a quaint best kept secret. Not too secret as it filled up quickly once we were there. It is a smallish venue, dimly lit, nicely laid out, and has the feel of a local secret spot. That kind of place that the locals don't tell people about because they want to be sure to be able to get in. My mom, both sons, and I were able to get seated right away. However shortly after we were seated the place filled up fast. One after another they came until the location was standing room only. Our waiter was very nice, timely, and helpful. He was always just around even as his table load grew. He never forgot about us or made us wait. Exceptional service! My youngest order the kids lasagna which came out drowning in sauce... but to my surprise (usually he would have looked at it and turn his nose at it) after one bite he tore through it like a lion at a lamb smorgasbord! He loved it. It was a pretty good sized slice... loaded with cheesy goodness and savory sauce. He finished it. My oldest wanted to try the toasted ravioli as an appetizer. He is usually not one for trying new things but he does love ravioli. When they came out I saw his trepidation but true to his word he tried them. Toasted to a crunchy but yet chewy perfection these ravioli were divine! The centers were a warm smooth mix of cheese that was a creamy delight! They were definitely worthy of my OHHHH MY GODDIE TO DARN HOTTIE!! Rating for sure. My oldest also had the cheese tortellini with the sauce on the side. Another home run... like pirañas in the amazon that just had a cow wade into the water... my boys eyes lit up and he began to feed. It was truly something to behold. A connoisseur of all things cheese and pasta he raved about his dish between mouthfuls. I went another direction and ordered the sea food risotto. It came out smelling like heaven... light fluffy rice delicately layered in savory lobster Parmesan sauce with an intermingling population of shrimp, scallops and clams. What a special medley! Every bite was transcending! A meal composed by a true culinary artist. Needless to say our out was a true food experience worthy of a 10 star rating! I highly recommend putting this venue on the top of your list of places to go... you will not regret it!

    Gnocchi alla sorrentina

I called ahead and made a reservation for two for a late dinner on a Saturday. The restaurant is centrally located, right in the heart of downtown Springfield. We sat down and ordered a bread basket, but the slim amount of sliced baguette was a little disappointing. We proceeded to order half a liter of their house red wine to pair with our meal. It was delicious and the perfect amount to share between two people. We started by ordering the tomatoes and burrata to share. This dish came with a decently sized burrata, cherry tomatoes, and crostini, served on top of basil pesto and topped with a balsamic vinegar reduction, olive oil, and basil. My husband ordered the pappardelle alla bolognese for his main course and said it was delicious. I ordered gnocchi alla sorrentina, which was very good once mixed together, though the lemon flavor was intense and overpowering. Overall, it was a good experience. The portions for the burrata appetizer and the two pasta dishes were large, there was live classical guitar music in the background, and the place looked like a real Italian osteria.

I was poisoned by your seafood pasta. We were one of the last people served that day - we arrived late at night. Apparently the seafood was spoiled. Terrible impressions. I am so offended that such a cafe is on the 3rd place in yelp on "pasta" request....

Unfortunately, I left disappointed because the food quality just wasn't what I remembered. I had been telling my wife how great the food used to be--almost like gourmet bar food--and was really looking forward to sharing that experience with her. The smash burger no longer tasted like the duck-fat burger I remembered, and the fries definitely didn't seem to be house-made anymore. They tasted more like a lower-quality frozen product, which was a letdown. On the positive side, the service was excellent. Even with the restaurant getting busy and a live band setting up, the staff stayed friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. One thing to note is that we initially arrived around 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, only to find out they weren't open and was told that something came up and they didnt open until 3:00 p.m. on this Sunday. Overall, I still enjoyed the atmosphere and appreciate the great service, but I hope the kitchen can get back to the food quality that made Lindberg's one of my favorite spots in the past.

But that bacon jams sauce really works! - The corn dip we had for an appetizer - that dish was really good. Did I say really? Yeah, really good. - Chicken sandwich - If I was you...I'd skip that one. Nothing special. Dry. Just not a good menu item. To the owners if they read this: The place is too nice to have counter service to order. Both times I've been here, it is always backed up and takes a good while to order. We were the 3rd group back last night. Parties of 2, each group was. And it takes too long. To end on a positive note: the place is neat and always great to have people revitalize an old building in our town.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They took the time to share the story behind the owners' vision, which made the experience feel much more personal. Their menu recommendations were thoughtful, highlighting both customer favorites and their own go-to picks, which is always something I appreciate. Everything we ordered was excellent. The coffee had exceptional depth of flavor without being overpowering, and the quiche was perfectly prepared with a delicate, buttery texture that paired beautifully with the cranberry-orange muffin. It's clear that attention to quality and consistency is a priority here. Beyond the food, the atmosphere deserves recognition. The space is beautifully designed, with tasteful décor that feels inviting without trying too hard. Whether you're meeting friends for lunch, enjoying a coffee date, catching up over brunch, treating yourself to a quiet afternoon, or looking for a comfortable place to study or work, this café offers the kind of environment that suits just about any occasion. We'll definitely be back--next time with friends to explore more of the lunch menu. Springfield is fortunate to have such a thoughtful and well-executed addition to its local dining scene.

The space itself seems large enough to host several large parties, and there are some TVs for sporting events as well, but it must not be very popular. The server came up an ass what we wanted to order and we told him we already had dinner and only wanted one more drink. Once we ordered our cocktail flight, we were anticipating to receive a flight meant for one person... similar to a beer flight. Especially because I told the server I was in between one specific drink or getting a flight as well. Needless to say, we were very surprised when each of us received 4 full-sized drinks. This looks great if you want to drink heavily, but we told the server we did not want more than one drink, so I would have expected him to call this out when we ordered. Even if we wanted to get tipsy, all the drinks from each of the flights tasted very watered down and with little alcohol. Receiving the bill for $55 afterwards for what should have been two drinks, was wild. I mentioned this to the server at the end once more and he just turned around and walked away without any care.
