We had heard so many great things about this place and our first trip exceeded all expectations. The ambiance is fantastic. The service is unrivaled. The menu is fun, interesting and beautifully executed. We'll definitely be back for what I'm sure will be many, many memorable meals in the future. Definitely check this place out.

A friend and I got to explore this outdoor gear shop while we visited this tiny square plaza of Tieton during our stay in Yakima. The window display of a few camping equipment and a canoe drew us in and piqued our interest. I'm not particularly an outdoor hiking/camping kind of person, not because I don't like it but because I have not had many opportunities to explore the wilderness due to my physical limitations. (Btw, this shop is completely handicapped accessible since they designed a ramp to enter and leave the shop with ease, which I totally appreciate). As my friend and I were looking around, we were approached by one of their friendly sales clerks to see if we needed any help. Since we were just browsing, it was nice to at least know they are available if we had any questions. Walking around and checking out the various curated aesthetically-pleasing outdoor equipment had inspired an interest to take the family out, one day, for a simple outdoor experience. Many of the products in their inventory are comparably priced to other places like REI or Gander Outdoors. I even spotted a 4oz red enamelware cup that was the perfect size for my kiddos. At the time, I compared prices to Amazon and was surprised to find that it was cheaper to purchase from the shop than it was online, so I proceeded to purchase 3 of the little red cups. Other things you will find are some pieces from local artists, books and a few activities you can use to pass the time while you're outdoors. On the day we entered the store, they happened to have a small setup where you could try some wine tasting. Unfortunately, I had just taken some medication beforehand so I could not partake on the free samples. Overall, I would recommend checking out Nomad Mercantile, especially while you're in Tieton visiting one of the beautiful mountainous areas of Washington--Yakima. You never know, but you may walk away inspired to explore the outdoors.

This is definitely the spot to go when you're interested in new clothing trends, classic and new shoes as well as plenty of vintage items like jackets and jerseys. I came in on a random Monday afternoon and found a number of things that immediately peaked my interest, despite not being a particularly well dressed individual. With my 30th percentile looks and 15th percentile charm, any help I can get is always appreciated! With styles ranging from those of a skate shop, which this also is, all the way to trends that make any trendsetter jealous, they've got just about anything that you're looking for within the genre. I picked up a pair of shorts which quickly work their way into my rotation. I also saw some old-school Reebok pumps, which may be something that I need to get in the near future. The dude running the place is super chill and does a great Job of staying up on trends both new and retro. In the same way that the haberdasher brings a very cool spot for final clothing, this place brings a real for anyone looking for some good street gear!

I've never seen my husband so disappointed when he got back from the shop. The scratches were a little ridiculous. He was super bummed, but less than an hour later one of the owners called him personally to express how that work was NOT up to their standards as a business and wanted to work with him on how to make it right. Thank you Sporthaus for doing something a lot of business owners (and let's be honest, the majority of people) dont do, which is taking accountability and wanting to make things correct.
