My family and I went to eat at nolans last night which was Sunday and there was a women making pizza she was very outgoing pleasant and very happy. We ordered pizza and we literally only waited l15 minutes for our pizza and that was ordering her making it and then serving it to us. And we were there at a busy time in the evening. We had the best pizza we have ever eaten at nolans or anywhere and the fastest services we have ever received from nolans especially on a busy night. We highly recommend nolans to anyone that wants great service and wonderful delicious food read more

Got a salmon dinner as a takeout order and should have checked it first. It was not what the menu said. The menu said: grilled salmon with tomatoes, onions, peppers and garlic with roasted fingerling potatoes for $28. Just no. Service was delightful. My salad (which was on special that day, was quite good). The angel hair pasta and meatballs was worse than a retirement home or hospital food. The "famous"meatballs were inedible. Hard, dry, dense. The pasta was so overcooked, it was mushy. The sauce flavorless. In fairness though, they are known for their pizza. Which was also mushy and flavorless. It's very hard to believe that there is a wood fired oven. Nothing was crispy. You could go ANYWHERE else and get better pizza. Finally, I'm surprised that no one in that kitchen took any pride in what went out. I mean, seriously... pasta and sauce? It could not be any easier. It was horrible experience! First of all...waited 30 minutes or more to be seated!! Then the waitress told us, that it was gonna be a hour for our pizza to come out! We stopped in mid afternoon for a drink and their nachos, as we had passed by earlier in the day and it looked like a nice place. We got the New Fashioned (maybe young fashioned?) just a nice twist on an Old Fashioned. Very good drink. Then we got the nachos with chicken delivered. Holy cow, they were great. Spread out on a pizza dish, all the cheese was melted evenly, lots of peppers and olives and cheese and chicken, and no soggy chips! Was seriously great. Not sure why this place has only 3.2 stars. My husband and I stopped by for a late lunch. We both ordered the meatball sandwich. I had the onion rings and he had fries. It was hands down the best meatball I've ever had. We went out to have an easy meal last night. All was great until multiple dogs came to the outdoor seating area. Our food was just serve and one dog in particular was shaking while standing up continuously. Hair was literally floating all through the air. The most disturbing part was that three waitress were rubbing the dogs continuously. Grabbing them by there side cheeks and kissing them. Waitress brought two water bowls out. At the same time as serving food and drinks. One dogs tail was 3 inches from drink on next table. No signs acknowledging dogs are welcomed because we would have sat inside and laws prohibit Waitress from touching dogs. When asked it dog could atleast sit down and possibly stop shaking repeatedly, maybe itchy ears, I was told that this dog does not shed. Also not true all dogs shed some shed less all carry dander , dust and shed! Very upset with having to pack our food up and leave. Wish we would have just left food on the table and walked out. Definitely a health concern for us. Lived here my whole life. read more

I am not sure what people are complaining about. After a fantastic day of seeing Loons, we came for a late dinner. Buğra was our awesome server. We had a caesar salad and pizza. Everything was great! Still was on the bill and had to ask to have it removed. Pizza was shaped like an ink blot, no where near round. The bottom of the crust was covered in burnt chunks of oven debris on one side and raw flour on the other. Very disappointing. These are basic things that could easily be corrected. Went this past weekend again. Beautiful night, ate outside. Watched the world go by while having drinks and waiting for our food. I have been in off season and food comes out right away. But in July and August expect a little wait. We had a pizza (my favorite pizza) and tried the Ziti, Broccoli and Chicken and a Caesar salad. Delicious home made Alfredo sauce from cream and super tender chicken! Delish... Also took a pizza home. Someone must have been on a hate campaign for reviewing Nolans... because this is definitely the best pizza available in town. Fresh pizza, brick oven, fresh toppings and lots of them. Always great, courteous friendly service, lots of food on the menu tho choose from. We tried Nolan's because our usually place was not open and it was our 29th wedding anniversary. The atmosphere is your classic pub style. The seating on a bench was extremely uncomfortable as the pads had no pad remaining. Sitting on a wooden chair was slightly more comfortable. We order an appetizer of calamari...lesson learned don't order seafood when you're inland. They were super hard and chewy and lacked flavor. We also had the steak tips which were tough and undercooked but my husband decided to eat them. His also came with risotto and summer squash. I had the chicken Marsala which according to their photos, should have been loaded with mushrooms. It had hardly any mushrooms, lacked enough Marsala "gravy" to moisten the linguine and chicken. It was also very very salty. Bottom line...we came, we saw, we ate and we went. Most likely won't be returning. The. Best part of the restaurant was the amazing waitress, Holly S. Haven't made the trek over to Wolfeboro for pizza in a while but we were sick of Alton options (AVP and Jack's). Glad we did! While the crust could've been a bit more done (odd for a brick oven place) the quality was excellent. Worth the drive even if the pies are a bit cooked off by the time we get home. read more
