    Nachos!
    AJ G.

We stopped in mid afternoon for a drink and their nachos, as we had passed by earlier in the day and it looked like a nice place. We got the New Fashioned (maybe young fashioned?) just a nice twist on an Old Fashioned. Very good drink. Then we got the nachos with chicken delivered. Holy cow, they were great. Spread out on a pizza dish, all the cheese was melted evenly, lots of peppers and olives and cheese and chicken, and no soggy chips! Was seriously great. Not sure why this place has only 3.2 stars. Server was fantastic, everyone was really nice and friendly. Will go back next year when we visit.

*Masshole Roast Beef Sandwich on Ciabatta Roll

On a getaway weekend decided to try Nolan's Brick Oven Bistro. The roast beef sandwich was huge! Waitress was very friendly and service was good. Also got a wonderful cheese pizza. Great brick oven taste!

    Caesar salad with blackened shrimp!

Delicious pizza and salads! The pizza is cooked well with little "flop" we will definitely be back!

We tried Nolan's because our usually place was not open and it was our 29th wedding anniversary. The atmosphere is your classic pub style. The seating on a bench was extremely uncomfortable as the pads had no pad remaining. Sitting on a wooden chair was slightly more comfortable. We order an appetizer of calamari...lesson learned don't order seafood when you're inland. They were super hard and chewy and lacked flavor. We also had the steak tips which were tough and undercooked but my husband decided to eat them. His also came with risotto and summer squash. I had the chicken Marsala which according to their photos, should have been loaded with mushrooms. It had hardly any mushrooms, lacked enough Marsala "gravy" to moisten the linguine and chicken. It was also very very salty. Bottom line...we came, we saw, we ate and we went. Most likely won't be returning. The. Best part of the restaurant was the amazing waitress, Holly S. She was super friendly and attentive and the presentation of food was great

Gusto Caffe in Meredith is the closest I've come to being back there. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed like family. The warmth isn't just service -- it's genuine. The baker is from Sicily, and you can taste that authenticity in every bite. Everything is fresh, simple, and absolutely heavenly. Raul makes the best cappuccino, and Elena greets you with the most beautiful smile. It's not just a café -- it's an experience that brings you straight back to Italy.

Excellent! so when we had an appointment in Laconia I was looking forward to the rich full bodied Americano decaf we always get. I added a bit of half n half and tasted. Found them to be luke warm, and also weak as dish water. I think the cool temp of the brewing water prevented the coffee beans from giving up their flavor. I brought back to the counter where the barista warmed them w the frother. btw, no apology. I thought I could drink it but it was awful. So I asked for a splash of regular coffee to be added thinking that might fix the weak flavor. She told me she'd have to charge me for a small coffee. Really? Didn't I already spend almost $5 on this bad coffee? So, that was it, I declined the additional cost and left it on the table. My husband brought his home where he promptly threw it away.

We tried: Breakfast Sandwich -- Egg, avocado, cheese, and sausage on an English muffin ($8.50). 8/10 Super satisfying and customizable, with fresh add-ons like spinach, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and tomatoes if you want to load it up! French Toast Crêpe -- Cinnamon, brown sugar, and bacon with a side of real maple syrup, powdered sugar, and whipped cream ($11). 7/10 Sweet and decadent! We just wish the bacon was a little crispier and more candied for that perfect salty-sweet crunch. Overall: A cute café with a cozy vibe, friendly service, and a great menu selection. Definitely worth checking out if you're visiting Meredith!

They all sounded delicious. The inside is pretty small with only a couple seating options inside and out. It was busy on a Saturday around noon. The wedding we attended featured them, and after trying a few, I knew I had to visit the shop myself. They're perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and genuinely some of the best I've had. Their coffee is solid--definitely the best you'll find in this small town--and they offer a surprising variety of avocado toast options, all fresh and really thoughtfully put together. On top of that, the people who work here are so kind. It feels like the sort of place where everyone is happy to see you walk in. What an adorable cafe!…read more We stopped in before we headed home to have coffee and breakfast. We arrived at a quiet point in the morning rush, but they do get very busy! Service is friendly and fast though even when they're packed. I had a turmeric maple latte which was unique and delicious. Along with that I had the Mountain Mama sandwich which had an egg, hummus, goat cheese, and vegetables on a super soft English muffin. It was delicious! My husband had a hummus bagel with cucumbers and tomato and it was a great light start to the day. We also tried a ham and cheese croissant which was good. It was the softer bread style croissant and had chopped rosemary ham and cheese which was delicious, I only wished there was more of it! I brought a maple molasses cookie and a butterscotch cookie home. They were both so delicious and chewy! My only criticism is I wish there was a touch more salt, but I'm nitpicking. Highly recommend stopping in for a light breakfast or lunch, and taking some baked goods for the trail!
