My 90 year old mother has lived in the independent section for 1.5 years. There is no reason for employees to enter her apartment with their keys except for emergencies. Yet there have been 3 occasions when they unlock the door and waltz in. The most recent was a few days ago while mom was sleeping. She woke up to a stranger in her bedroom and was very creeped out. She DOES NOT FEEL SAFE at Noel. The entering woman was checking out the items in her bedroom probably looking for something to steal. She laughed when mom woke up. BEWARE management will always side with their employees and not their residents. They do not respect the citizens who live there and they dont respect their privacy. Very poorly run. Noel Manor is truly beautiful inside and out! The building and grounds are stunning, such a gorgeous place to call home. The staff are friendly and compassionate. Happy hour every Friday with live music, fun outings, and an all around great community. I strongly recommend this to anyone looking for assisted living. read more

My dad has lived at Noel Manor for over 2 years. The place is beautiful! It's new which is good on one hand and not good on the other. More on that later. The other positives are Tasha (who did our tour, she was one of the most knowledgeable people there), the kitchen staff and the food! They really do a good job, with fresh food, soups and salads made everyday. The maintenance people and the van drivers were also great. There are so many activities to do there! My dad especially liked the daily workouts available and the lady who did them. They also have many musical groups that play there and had special meals for the holidays and a really nice summer cookout. Now, we move onto the not so great...I'm going to agree with the previous review about the head nurse. We got yelled at for putting things from the hospital on the van with him. We wouldn't have done it had somebody told us before that we weren't supposed to do that. (this is a common theme...) We were not told about a yearly assessment and it was done without us. They also had determined that his needs had changed. My dad is not in a position to understand what what was done so where does that leave us? They moved my dad to the CBRF (at an added$1000.00 a month price tag) because he needed 2 people to move him. He soon got better and we asked why he needed to be there then? They did a "study" on him (which we never saw the results on) and said 'Oh, its the number of times he pushes his button". Right. One thing that really irked us was the completely false advertising of the van they have that was available 24/7 days a week...Absolutely not! They need 3 days advance notice for app't's and it stops running at 4:00 weekdays and NOTHING on the weekends. Another incident happened recently...my dad was sent to the VA on the 23rd of Dec because of some very minor issues that we should have been asked about before sending him there. Since Noel Manor does not have a nurse on duty at all times and it being a holiday week and the bus not having any room, he was stuck there for 5 days! (The VA shares some of the blame but NM should not have sent him there in the first place!) We felt that every time we talked to different people we got a different answer.I totally understand the staff shortage issue. I work in the service industry, I get it. What I think they need is more and better training. It seemed to us that new rules were being put into place without any notice to residents or more importantly, their families. Do your due diligence when placing your family member in any kind of care. Ask many questions and get the answers you need. read more

This facility offers both Independent and Assisted Living but is coded as entirely Assisted Living. Because of this, all residents have been locked down since mid-March 2020 and never released. Those with their own vehicles were not allowed to drive since the garage was blocked daily by a van that blocked all vehicles from exiting. Legal? Besides this awful situation where all our loved ones rights have been removed, the facility takes months to respond to simple maintenance requests and management isn't interested in making improvements. "Looks" pretty, but look elsewhere. read more

On the surface, it looks like a nice facility, and relatively new, but beware! They have systemic plumbing problems and lack of adequate maintenance staff to fix them. Not a problem if you don't mind going 19+ hours with a clogged toilet. The food is mediocre at best. They have huge turnover in staff, so they are chronically short staffed, and the caregivers are not well trained. The head nurse is cold, disrespectful, uncaring and primarily focused in moving residents to higher levels of care to rake in even more money. The "rules" are quite flexible if it benefits Noel Manor, but not flexible at all if a resident needs an occasional schedule change to go to an appointment. Management has no issue if staff members are FOUR HOURS late to help with the morning routine, but if you'd like to get up half an hour early to attend an event, they will not accommodate. Noel Manor does NOT live up to its mission: "Taking care of our loved ones with compassion and grace." For the price, there are far better facilities for your loved ones. read more
