Heat seeker burger on the left and the pirogies on the right.

This place is found inside the Seven Arrows Brewing Company tap room. It is much like a food truck setup but this is a built in place. When I say like, I am referring to the fact that the brewery and the kitchen are different owners. As for the food, the heat seeker burger was too much heat. This is not a burger loaded down with jalapeños, rather spiced up with their own spices. I was happy to learn this because it was not a run of the mill burger with jalapeños and Tabasco, but no clue what it had in it. The first bite had seasoning flavors and a brown/orange sauce, but into the second and third bites our tastebuds were ruined! We couldn't enjoy the fries or the beer we accompanied the food with. We waited as the taste buds were going to return. I will say this, this is not a burger to feel accomplished after eating, more of a burger to bet the person who says, "the spicier the better!" For the other order we had the the pirogies basket with sour cream. This was very good but I requested they add chives and bacon bits if possible. This made it better. Another suggestion would be fresh lemon slices. For the food, for me it was a 3.5 or higher but since I could see freshness in the food, I am upscaling this to a 4.

Macaroni and Cheese with pulled pork

This is a run of the mill on sight spot to grab some food while you're drinking beers from Seven Arrows. We ended up getting the Macaroni and cheese with pulled pork, the 1lb order of wings (10), and French fry appetizer. I'm a French fry fanatic, and I have to say that their fries are absolutely delicious. They disappeared FAST. The Mac n cheese wasn't bad, but it's on par with what you would be able to make at home. We weren't fans of the pulled pork, and ended up not eating it. Bonus fries on top though! The wing flavors weren't standouts for us, and the chicken was just so-so. We were pretty hungry so we finished it all, but in hindsight I probably would have just ordered 3 of the fry appetizers and made due with that. The folks running the joint were very nice, and did come out to check on us a few times- not typically something I've come to expect when ordering from an on site food spot at a brewery, so we appreciated that. Also, it's dope to have food options at a brewery at your fingertips so I can't knock that. I'd order from them again if I visited Seven Arrows, but I'd stick with the basics.

I was already not in the mood for anymore drinking after spending a weekend in a major tournament in Lynchburg. Anyways, for a Saturday evening, this place was pretty packed both inside and outside. We both ended up getting a flight of beers each and every one was great. The food surprised me as my fish tacos was super fresh. The chips and queso was also great. Overall, a must see - especially for the view of the mountains if you decided to eat outdoors.

Brewery # 445…read more Devil's Backbone is a very large operation it seems. They make beer, the make bourbon, and they make food. They just do them all very slowly or at least they did when I was there. We came here on a Monday evening, and it was somewhat busy but there were visible empty tables and a couple spots at the bar. We went to the bar and waited awhile before the bartender asked what we wanted. I didn't ask for a flight because he seemed too busy. Whatever I wanted they were out of, but I ended up with an Imperial 16-point IPA which was quite tasty. I also got some chicken nachos, but I had to go stand in line to order them. They were adequate but not worth the wait. The place was very disorganized. They had workers always standing by the hostess desk, but the bartender was overwhelmed. Seemed like they should have had more than one, after all it is a brewery. Would have loved to try more beer but we just left and went back into Lexington for another round at another place. I don't know maybe it was just a bad night.

This was pretty close to the park and had ample parking, so we decided to stop in for a drink. The bartender was super friendly and when he learned this was our first time in the brewery, he asked what we liked and even gave me a couple of samples to try. I opted for the the Ramble On IPA and my friend got the Groove Tangerine wheat beer. We sat inside and drank our beers, which we both really liked. You could see where they made the beer and it was a cool place to hang out and enjoy our beverages. It wasn't too crowded when we arrived, but some larger groups started coming in as we were ready to leave. If you're in the area and are thirsty, I'd recommend stopping in.

Brewery #452 Starr…read moreHill has a ton of beers on tap, maybe 20? Idk it may have been more than that and like 8 of them were IPAs. I got a flight that consisted of 5 beers; a Kolsch, Vienna lager, and 3 different hazy IPAs. I liked everything but the Jomo Vienna Lager and the Deep Fuzz DIPA were my favorites. The bartender was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. He asked about other breweries that we had went to and gave input on those too. Good dude. The game room area is really cool with a bunch of pinball machines, pop-a-shot basketball and other games. The food menu looked like it had the type of food you would want in a brewery; nachos, wings, sammiches, pizza, and other stuff like that. Cool place that I would definitely frequent if I lived in the area.
