I had to go through Windshield Doctor because they were the only place in Utah that could source a…read morewindshield for my 96 Range Rover. While I'm grateful that they found the windshield for me, I'm not exactly pleased with the aftermath. The installation seemed to go well. They came to my home and completed the installation in the driveway. I checked in with them and everything seemed fine. Later, I was working on something when they finished and they didn't wait for me to come up, so they told my wife everything was done and were basically gone before I could look at everything on the vehicle. I know my vehicle is older, but they broke two parts of the window column trims and never bothered to tell me. I only noticed it when I sat in the car and looked at the interior trim. The main issue is that my front windshield wipers are no longer working. No matter what I do, they will not engage. Naturally, I called Windshield Doctor to inform them of the issue, and at first Matt was accommodating and sent someone over to come take a look. Chance, the tech they sent out to look at my windshield, said that they could not find why the wipers were no longer working. He then told me that the car is "just old" and maybe that's why they don't work. I told him that they were working fine before the installation, so it cannot be that they just broke all of a sudden. He then told me to take it up with Matt. Well, Matt wasn't helpful either. He proceeded to also tell me that the car is just old and maybe the wipers broke naturally, despite the fact that they were working prior to the installation and that THEY took them off in order to install the windshield. The most ridiculous statement was when Matt told me "Just because we were the last ones to touch it doesn't mean we broke it". I honestly don't even know what to do with that logic, as I find it so monumentally absurd from a customer standpoint. He then suggested I just take it Land Rover to get fixed, at my own expense. Now I'm basically in a position where I didn't cause the damage, but I'm being forced to pay for something that a business is refusing to acknowledge they had any part in damaging.
