I'm so grateful I found Lakewood Pet Vet. My cat was battling an ongoing urinary issue that wasn't…read moregetting resolved with her former vet. I called for an appointment and Isabella got me in right away. She was so pleasant on the phone. I met with Dr. Hope for an exam and consultation. Dr. Hope had a high level of professionalism that I had not received from my previous vet. They took x-rays and showed me exactly what the issue was with my cat. After a surgery and some recovery time my little girl is back to her playful and joyful self. Of note, my cat has been labeled "dangerous" and "difficult to handle" at our former vet's office. I was [shocked] when the staff at Lakewood Pet Vet told me she's a sweetheart and not difficult at all. This team truly cares about how they treat animals and do so with the utmost care! I will be bringing all my cats here moving forward.

About 3 weeks ago, I brought my dog in after a coyote attack. I was alone and frantic as any pet…read moreowner would be in that situation. He was taken in quickly and I was initially reassured, which helped in that moment. After that, most of the communication shifted toward costs, approvals, and payments rather than clear medical updates. I understand veterinary care is expensive and estimates are necessary. However, this experience felt far more transactional, especially in moments that required compassion. I paid about $517 for basic treatment (antibiotics, patient room fees, iv fluids, vaccines, cone, and fees), but no diagnostics were completed. I was quoted $1,000+ for x-rays. Feeling overwhelmed by staffs, I ultimately left and sought care elsewhere. At another clinic, my dog received imaging, was diagnosed with a broken rib and dental injury, and received full treatment for a much more affordable price. Beyond the cost, that clinic felt far more present and personal, and the experience itself felt reassuring and grounded rather than transactional. Thankfully, he is now safe and recovering. After posting my original review, the business publicly responded and asked me to reach out directly. I did so immediately, in good faith, hoping for clarification or resolution. I never received a response. That gap between public reply and private silence is part of why I'm sharing this. That, combined with the experience in person, is what disappointed me most -- not just the visit itself, but the lack of follow-through afterward. When a business responds publicly but doesn't continue that same level of communication privately, it raises concerns about sincerity and whether the response is about resolution or reputation.

Unfortunately I won't ever go back to this place!…read more We rescued a dog that was ran over with a broken leg and hip 4 months ago, due to surgery couldn't get her groomed, at the time our priority has her health. Now that she's healed I wanted to get her groomed ASAP since she was really bad and our other dog's groomer was booked till the end of the month. I called and she offered and appointment the next day I texted her pics of our dog she offered two different times 12:30pm & 2:00pm, I agree to 2pm she calls and texts the next day to confirm for 12:30pm???? But ok!! I rushed out of work to make it ASAP cause she mentioned she had personal business to take care and wanted to close early. That should have been the a red flag. I understand accidents happen but she has no excuse she rushed through it, our dog wasn't aggressive at all she test the clippers on her skin while we were there and she didn't even move. I also wasn't expecting the best haircut since she was matted but I could have done a better job with out CUTTING, & BURNING our poor dog that's already been through so much in her life. I didn't mind paying for nice decent job but I paid $100 for this HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE OUR DOG was put through. Btw I don't even think she bathed her in just 1hour, I feel guilty for not reading the reviews throughly. Take your chance.

With no issues, I'm able to order online and pick up within about 1 hr. The service is always quick. I get in and out. It was quiet when I went inside. There was only one person working the front register. Quickly he was able to ring up the individual at his register before assisting me. I then let him know that I had placed an online order and immediately he was able to retrieve both bags from the shelf. No complaints.

#1 Issue: Walked in carrying both med and sm dog because I left their collars for the leash. I…read moregenuinely didn't think that was an issue, it's a pet store 8am store isn't open no customers in sight. To open the grooming door I had to sit them down (8am no customers or other dogs around) dogs walked near toys excited like toddlers but I went back to scoop them up. A younger groomer lady wearing glasses comes out to scold me "YOU Can't be just letting them "walk around the store" with no leash, You can't be letting them in the store with no leash, you call us to help ..." She continues repeating herself to scold me. This is not my first rodeo, things happen, I needed help, their were no customers no dogs, no ones safety was in danger with my Frenchie. I however do understand keep pets leashed but examine the situation offer help if my hands are full, use basic customer service. It's the first time I had both my dogs to drop off alone under each arm. #2 Issue I check pricing for my breeds. After examining my smaller dog the price went from $54 to $72 because he doesn't look "as small" as his breed.. he is a Yorkie mix, his weight isn't big his hair is, he is very small under his hair. When the same woman argued that he isn't his breed size of approx 10 pounds, I asked if she had a scale, she answered no. I asked to cancel and another rep chuckled, To be honest I was skeptical last night when confirming my appointment when I heard the clippers and a dog yelp while I was on the phone. Then, I was uncomfortable without their leash but didn't want to drive back hm and miss the appt. Even if you don't agree with customers please do not try to argue with us. Talk to us we are human. At least the Benny, the groomer that was typing remained professional, Although we disagreed on my dogs breed and pricing. But this store gets 1 & no further store runs or business from us. The helpful person was the delivery driver that saw my hands full and opened the sliding doors for us.
