I enjoyed my meal. Also, had lunch for the next day. Service was amazing, it was a busy night and they had plenty of servers. Drinks were never left empty and all employees were very content on helping all of us. In the way of ambience, this place has lots of seating indoors and a few tables outdoors. Be prepared for a little bit of a wait, depending on the time of day but well worth it. While we were there, they had several birthdays celebrated. With a little song and a little dessert.

Expect to wait cause this place is pretty popular in Covina. We waited around 35 mins which is fair being the weekend & brunch hour! They had the food buffet going on so my brothers got that (they didn't have many dessert options), my mom got the cocido soup which she enjoyed! I got the albondigas (meatballs were ground chicken) I actually liked my every much being a different kinda than what I am use too. Even warmed it up the next day for lunch at work! Still so yummy! My grandma got the cheese enchiladas which she loved. They also sang happy birthday & had the whole restaurant singing haha so that was cute & enjoyable. Recommend this spot if you're looking for delicious Mexican food!

Had no idea that this franchise even existed, but it's apparently a Texas kitchen in SoCal (so all…read morelocations are in SoCal). I want to cry out Texas larp, but I'm just being a funny little guy. My friend wanted to try the Parachute taco as it's a Hayley Williams collaboration item. It's neat because $1 from each taco benefits the Immigrant Defenders Law Center, so I'm glad that our super late night dinner had some overall meaning to it. Since they also serve breakfast dishes here, I'm feeling like it's more of a brunch place as this location closes at 9 PM. Not for the late night alchies people. We ordered online and everything was ready super fast for us. Just a note, that Parachute taco was on the mobile order, but strangely not on the menu on the website. They also ask you several times regarding salsa so make sure you get extra for free (red and green salsa in small sauce containers). Not super spicy in the slightest, but adds another layer of fresh acidic taste. I'm used to red sauce being searingly spicy, but not the case here. This location can be a bit easy to miss since it's on a main street and the turn in can get a bit tight. But you can always get street parking. No issues since we went right before they closed, but it looks like it can get really packed and tight around breakfast/brunch time. It's a very chill and relax ambience. Welcoming and warm. The outdoor area is very well lit and nice in the evening. Loved the lemon tree and I think the olive tree that they had there too. It's vibes as they say. PRO-TIP: Get the corn tortillas. You can taste the delicious corn flavor of the dough. For our dinner, we got the: 1) The Parachute by Hayley Williams: -The reason why we visited and surprisingly the best of the three. A huge surprise since it was the only one we ordered without meat. -This taco comes with mushrooms, black beans, lettuce, tortilla strips, Monterey jack cheese, and tomatillo ranch. -Creaminess from the cheese, slight chew from the mushrooms with a roasted taste, love the crunch from the tortilla strips, and everything came together really nicely. 2) Vaquero: -This comes with brisket, pickled jalapenos, onions, cilantro and lime. This was the one my friend and I both were eyeing as an additional taco. -It was sadly the most disappointing of the three. You'd think with all those toppings inside, it'd be more flavorful. Sadly not. -The brisket was dry and both of us used the most of the salsa on this taco in particular. I'd skip this one. 3) Forth Worth by Leon Bridges: -As a mild neurotic person, I don't listen to music that much, so I have no idea who this is, but I chose this taco since it had chicken and it's a different protein from the rest of the tacos. -This was the most stacked of the bunch, filled to the brim with ingredients and by virtue of that, the most messiest. Have lots of napkins on hand. -This comes with slightly spicy chicken (moist and yummy), bacon, pickled jalapenos, pico de gallo, lettuce, and tomatillo ranch. -I actually liked the bacon in this taco, slight crispiness with some of the rich fatty bits of bacon thrown in too. It's not just lazy bacon bits tossed in. Overall not bad! The tacos weren't the most visually appealing and a bit messy, so FYI. Overall not bad and it goes to a good cause. It's not the most authentic best tacos out there (for that I'd just go to a street stall, but it's great for the more unique combinations).

But anyways I got their taquitos plate to try which came with silky, creamy, cheesy, yummy beans. Hashtag bean fiend approved. Flavorful savory rice. Some lettuce cuz health. A generous amount of smooth creamy guac on top of 3 perfectly crispity crunchity taquitos that had slightly sweet corn tortillas and was filled with plenty of shredded beef. They also gave me some amazingly fried crunchy chips paired with a bit spicy vibrant tomato salsa and a cucumber agua Fresca which was like a cucumber flavored lemonade and was really sweet and refreshing. My grandma even liked everything here which is a rare thing. But yeah Overall this place is pretty good. Taquitos plate $14.99 Agua Fresca $6

I was offered two chicken tacos dorados and my sister ordered an enchiladas but really wanted a Chile Relleno but the cook said they were out. We politely accepted the food order but the food did not taste fresh. My tacos were cold and the shells tasted old. My sister's green enchiladas was way too watery and made with chips. I went home and carefully cleaned and brushed my teeth to get the flavor out of my mouth. Waiting on the food to pass and I hope I just do not get sick. Food is great here when it is fresh but tonight I was very disappointed. Please close before serving old bad tasting food. Breakfast here has also been good so what went wrong tonight? This kind of Mexican restaurant is right up my alley. Great food, stiff drinks, excellent service, and lively atmosphere. Oh, and plenty of chips and salsa!! I had the two tacos combination platter (one beef, one chicken) w/ a skinny jalapeño margarita. Along w/ guacamole to accompany the chips and salsa for the table - this meal was incredible. I could've walked out and gotten hit by a bus and would've been happy that this was my last meal. We were seated upstairs and it was a little more intimate and cozy w/ low ceilings (look out tall people!). Service was so on point, we never had to rubberneck once, the servers were always present without being overbearing. Not sure if there is dedicated parking for the restaurant, but there was plenty of street parking during Sunday afternoon. I think I found my new favorite Mexican spot in the Covina/Azusa area!!

I love the locations that offer fresh crispy chips. I ended up ordering one of Desebrada Shredded Beef Burrito (wet) and they told me I could do the half red and green sauce. I also ordered one of the Chicken Dorado (crunchy taco). My wife ordered a taco combo plate and Jalapeño Vodkarita. The portions were generous and abundant. My burrito was hefty! I enjoyed every bite of that wet burrito. Saucy and full of deliciousness. The affordable pricing is great because of the amount of food. The taco was fine, but I'd got with a burrito again since you can take the rest home. My wife enjoyed her food and drink. We had never been here in all these years. Max's Mexican Cuisine will be on our list again when are craving some Mexican food. ( ^_^)b

The chips and salsa were both fantastic. We both ordered the mixed fajitas- we could have spit one order and been full. I'm glad we didn't, because now we have a complete dinner of leftovers! The fajitas were brought to the table steaming. A great mix of green & red bell peppers, red onions, spices, beef ( not sure of the cut), chicken breast, and shrimp. The beef pieces were a little thin and dry, but in the mix with everything else, it really wasn't a big drawback. The fresh tortillas were perfect, as were the beans. We were checked on throughout our dinner, which was appreciated. My wife ordered the pomegranate margarita, which she really enjoyed. We have a new favorite Mexican restaurant, and can't wait to return.
