I have been seeing this place in holiday markets in NY for the past many years. Finally this year, I gave it a shot. I tried the one in Bryant Park. They have a hot chocolate for $5, but the size of the cup is very small. So I decided to buy the chocolate powder and make it at home instead. It was $14 and had about 9 serving. As the instruction suggested I heated 6 oz milk and mixed 6 heaped teaspoons of powder. It gave a very rich hot chocolate. I also tried all of their 4 flavors of chocolate truffles - hazelnut, orange, salted toffee and original. I liked hazelnut the most followed by orange. It was $1.25 per piece or $10 for 10. The cup appears small but this hot coco is extremely rich in flavor. The small cup is exactly the right amount. I don't think it's healthy to consume any more chocolate anyway. Definitely the richest hot chocolate I've had! It's $5 for a small cup of hot chocolate. They first add a piece of their chocolate truffle and then pour in their hot cocoa. Their shop is located right by the Bryant Park Christmas tree, and there's usually a line so be prepare to wait. When I went, the line wasn't too bad. I waited probably 15 minutes. I've been to a couple of No Chewing Allowed stands and I've always been greeted nicely by the workers. The people at this location were no different. Yes, for $5 I thought I was getting ripped off, but honestly I was satisfied with it. I think if I had any more, it would've been too much for me to finish. Also when you receive your hot chocolate, the cup is really hot! They didn't have those cup sleeves, so I would suggest you requesting another cup so you don't burn your hands. read more

No chewing allowed is back at Bryant Park's winter market! Their name says it all, but no chewing is allowed because their truffles melt in your mouth and are to die for. They started the season with samples given out at all times, but seemed to have slowed down with that. They've started doing hot chocolate ($5) and it must be good because it gathers quite a line. I've tried their classic truffles which are absolutely amazing. They have boxes of 22 truffles for $14, and cute tin cans with 27 pieces for $22. They also do tin cans with different flavored truffles but those were sold out when I went today. These make great gifts! read more

They sell individually wrapped chocolates for about $1 each as well as assorted tins. They have orange, salted toffee, and hazelnut flavors which contains little bits of their respective flavor. My favorite is the original flavor though. The hot chocolate is also delicious. It's very rich and thicker than most hot chocolate drink. There are free samples with no pressure to buy. It is extremely hard one you palate is activated to not chomp down and eat these things in your mouth like M&M's. After returning from Canada I immediately went onto the No Chewing Allowed website and ordered the value pack 35.2 ounces which converts to 108 truffles divided into 4 vacuum sealed bags. The cost including shipping from NYC was $58.73, money well spent. Upon receiving my shipment I was stoked to open to one of the bags and smell that freshness. I popped one of these truffles into my mouth and it was amazing!!! I brought these truffles into work and let my coworkers try them and they were as amazed as I at the taste and how hard it was to fight the urge to chew these truffles. I honestly thought of dumping these truffles into a bowl with some coconut milk and eating it as cereal but I respectfully fought off that thought. I think my eyes were bigger than my stomach with this order and I might have ordered too much but in good faith I will give a majority away so I do not feel too guilty when it is time to order more. Every Christmas holiday for the past I don't know how many years, I CRAVE for this baby. I love when I stumbled upon No Chewing Allowed! in the Union Square holiday market. It was an immediate addiction. I am the biggest fan of truffles and I spend a lot at fine chocolate shops, paying $2+ per piece, but this is so much more worth it! You can get a tin with a large number of pieces to share with guests. I personally feel that because it's so flavorful, I like to cut them up into smaller pieces, just as they provide you when you are sampling it in stores. This way, you're not too overwhelmed with taste and it helps to break down the chocolate powder coating. It can get a little messy, so I always like to have it with some tissues to cover up my slobs of chocolate :D I have yet to have their hot chocolate, but I definitely recommend the chocolates. They save on pricing because they throw it in a bag and not individually package each one, not the best for presentation, but it keeps the price down and is so yum! read more
