My wife helped me pick out some decent material at Joann's Fabric (50% off) and I left the footrest and material with Joe and waited for the finished product. Several weeks later, my footrest was ready for pickup. It looks phenomenal now (see pics). As for clothing, I later took a bunch of dress shirts for alterations, as well as a suit jacket. Everything looks great! Judging by the number of customers who came and went each time I have gone there, Joe's skills are in demand. Joe's prices are fair and he always works hard to be sure his customers are satisfied.

The third shirt, the new one, had a stain on the cuff which was not there when I brought it in. They claimed they couldn't have done it and were very rude about it "what do you think.. we eat in the back". Well fine. 250 work days a year. Clean shirt each day. 3 bucks a shirt. Plus suits. I'll take my $1K of annual business someplace else and recommend you consider doing the same.
