I stumbled upon Amore on accident while looking through pictures of a wedding that a friend…read moreattended. Their "winter tree" centerpieces stood out and I knew that I had to contact them for my own wedding. I was wowed at our consultation because Lisa actually LISTENED to what I wanted and was able to bring my vision to life with minimal direction. Everyone in the office was spectacular when I kept calling to add boutonnieres or change drop off locations. Overall, the flowers and centerpieces were absolutely perfect and exactly what I wanted. The best part is that Amore is completely affordable! When I found out what friends spent for the same quantity and quality of flowers, I couldn't believe my ears.

Yet I see on their website and social media no mention of this rule. They consider themselves "NJ's most sought and trusted centerpiece rental company", but won't travel within NJ. what you will see, is they go to PA AND DELAWARE THOUGH. All of a sudden Kenisha brings up another gay wedding similar to ours they did. How does she know our wedding is similar? We have not communicated the details, just a generic email based on vibe. And why was is she bringing up a gay wedding to us? Because we are another gay couple? To prove there's no homophobia? What was the point of this?! They are a company full of excuses. In this economy turning down work? They just did not want to work with us from the beginning. This whole interaction was gross.

Still, we made the decision to bring in an expert to elevate our ideas and bring them to life the right way. After attending a wedding expo, we felt overwhelmed. We interviewed several planners. From our first meeting, Stacey removed every fear we had. She listened carefully. She understood our vision. She gave us structure, direction, and confidence from day one. For a full year, Stacey and her team guided us through every step. She managed everything. From our stationery to the napkins. From the overall theme to the décor with the florist. She coordinated vendors, negotiated contracts, and kept every moving part aligned. Everything was handled in a timely fashion. Nothing was rushed. Nothing was late. Every detail landed exactly when it needed to. She saved us money. She saved us time. She eliminated stress. I am someone who likes control. It was hard for me to hand the reins over to someone else. But it was extremely liberating to watch an experienced professional take charge. I stopped worrying about logistics. I started enjoying the process. That shift changed everything for us. Our wedding was one week after Christmas. While most people were still in holiday mode, Stacey was in constant communication with vendors. She stayed ahead of issues we did not even know existed. She protected the timeline and kept everything moving. During wedding week, Stacey and her team went above and beyond. They showed up early. They followed through. They anticipated needs before anyone had to ask. On the wedding day, everything ran like a Swiss watch. The timing was precise. The transitions were seamless. We were able to stay present and enjoy every moment because Stacey was executing behind the scenes. We feel blessed to have had Stacey guide us through this journey. She became more than our planner. She became a true friend, and she will remain one. If you are feeling overwhelmed like we once did, trust Stacey. She has the experience, the network, and the leadership to deliver at the highest level. We wish Stacey and her team nothing but continued success. Love, Melissa & Duff

Very disappointed with lack of communication, lack of details and professionalism…read more I attempted to rate this company in 2021, but Stacy deleted it, so hopefully this review will stick. We wasted thousands of dollars hiring Stacy. At first she was attentive towards my daughter, but as time went by she lost interest. The one time we really needed help with her dress, and she didn't return my call. In fact as the MOB she never acknowledged me the day of the wedding except when I asked to move the cards to a safer spot at reception in which she gave me an attitude. Don't expect her to be at the venue the morning of when the bride shows up or stay until the end. She shows up later to take a picture of rings etc with some fake flowers. ( not my daughters). Also, don't bother using the paper company next door. Little black dress. Hugh rip off. I sat at a table next to the owner, who never looked at me never mind acknowledge the person filling her bank account. Bottom line my daughter could have done all the planning herself. The planner at your venue is all you need. Don't waste your money .

I was married on 10/7/2023 and Details Made Simple (Carla) made sure it was the most beautiful, and least anxiety provoking day. I had previously booked a Day Of Coordinator in March 2023. This DOC promised me the world and more for my October 2023 wedding. We'll fast forward to August 2023 meeting with my venue, I was alone and freaking out. My DOC (not Carla) bailed on me for the venue meet, and made me feel like I was panicking for no reason with a timeline that will be formulated week before wedding. (Again not Carla) Thanks to my maid of honor coming through with an amazing recommendation, I was given Carlas's number after feeling defeated and upset with my previous DOC not supporting me or showing up for me when necessary. After 2 hour conversation with myself and my mom, I immediately felt at ease with Carla. My concerns were validated as "No way should a timeline be started 1 week before event". With many tears had during our initial conversation, that night I slept the best I had in all my wedding planning with Carla coming to my rescue and the rest is history. Details Made Simple is just that, Details Made Simple. From hiring (DMS) that August evening to my wedding on October 7, 2023, I was in The best hands Possible!!! We had a few phone calls in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and the month leading up to the wedding, myself and Carla were in contact regularly. She never hesitated to answer and email, a text or a phone call. I received updated timelines in my email on the regular, she contacted any vendors with whatever tasks were still not done, to her absolutely loving on my 3 year old niece on my wedding day, Carla was like having an extremely organized "family"member take charge and make sure myself, my husband and my bridal party had nothing to worry about on the wedding day. I can not speak highly enough about DMS services, professionalism and overall delivery of event planning. Carla, I am forever grateful to you! P.S. Carla was not available for my rehearsal at the church, but we had her team member Shadé. Also AMAZING. We were not an easy group and she got EVERYONE in place and running our ceremony as it was supposed to be. Thank you Shadé for being there for us!

Jodie was a godsend!!!…read more My husband and I got married in early August. It was the best day of both of our lives and none of it would have been possible without Jodie @ Particular Planner. We were planning our wedding remotely, which we were initially nervous about, but once Jodie came into the picture, things were easier than we could've imagined. She met with our vendors, Facetimed us while she toured our venue (which we booked sight "unseen"!) and thought of every little detail before anyone else. On the day-of, she effortlessly wrangled all of our family and friends for photos, made sure things were set up correctly, and always checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. My husband and I can't thank Jodie enough! You will not regret working with Jodie for your wedding! - Jackie and Brian Bell

When my husband and I began planning our wedding we never imagined working with a wedding planner…read more We are both professional project managers and thought, how hard could this be? Little did we know, the decision to work with Jodie was by far the BEST decision we made throughout the planning process. Jodie used her years of professional event planning and personal experience with her own wedding to ease the process for us and bring a new perspective to the decisions we had to make. Jodie was incredibly helpful working and negotiating with all of our vendors. She thought of things that we never would have thought to ask ourselves and always had our best interest at heart. The week of our wedding there was a major snow storm that brought on about a foot of snow. Our ceremony was to be in a tent with clear walls outside on a farm field. The week prior to our big day, we were running around like crazy people- picking up stuff here, dropping off stuff there... Just crazy. Jodie manned the entire tent rental installation as if it was her own tent, her own farm, and her own wedding. Extremely PROACTIVE! She worked with Parkins Tent Rentals and our venue, Lauxmont Farms, to have all snow removed so the ground could be ready for the tent installation and to make sure our guests would not be trekking through mud. There was no need to worry about the weather with Jodie on our team. Jodie's attention to detail, organizational skills, and thoroughness greatly exceeded our expectations. Our wedding was a destination with many DIY elements and moving parts. Everything was a la carte. We had over thirteen vendors that required coordination the day of our wedding. Prior to our wedding day, Jodie completely wrapped herself around the timeline, vendor roles, and our expectations to make our vision a reality. There was not one moment that prevented us from enjoying every minute of our special day with Jodie on board. Our dreams came true and we just cannot imagine our special day being as smooth and painless as it was without Jodie on our team.

She was extremely helpful and responsive every single step of the way. Without her, I don't think I would have gotten everything together. I did not do a package, instead I rented a wedding dress, a mandarin qipao, hired a make up artist, MC, and DJ through Paris; and when our old decorator pulled out at the last minute, Ula eased the stress with a new recommendation 1 month away. 1. Dress selection is limited, and it did cost more than I expected to rent, but I don't regret not needing to have to store a giant dress in my tiny Manhattan apartment. The seamstress was very nice to work with, though I think she only speaks Chinese. 2. Make up artist was Crystal! She was so great. She traveled all the way up to Morningside Heights with her giant suitcase and did a phenomenal job. My schedule is difficult and Ula was able to work with me to secure a make up trial with Crystal a couple months before the wedding. It was extremely helpful to have a make up trial beforehand, so I do recommend it, even if it costs more. 3. JJ was my MC and I had a couple of guests come up to me to tell me how great she was going in between English and Mandarin. My friends speaks english but family members do not, so hiring JJ was such a win. She called us a month before and planned out an itinerary, which we ended up not following the day of, but she was able to play it by ear and made the night very fun. 4. DJ was James Vincent, who knew how to work the crowd. Lots of dancing, which was what we wanted. So overall, it was a great experience having a one- stop shop for all of our extra-venue vendors. I did not use their photographer/videographers since I had a recommendation from a friend (I wanted to be able to work with the same photographer for our engagement shoot and our wedding day-- so that they get to know you). Highly recommend.
