We got married May, 2012. We came across colorblind Productions while looking for a DJ that could handle a diverse crowd. My family is from Jamaica, and England my husband is from the Dominican Republic. We had family members that did not speak English at the wedding. We both have a very diverse group of friends, from growing up in Brooklyn, NY and friends we made away in college years. And now we live in NJ. There were also our co-workers and clients. Many of my husband's clients are Jewish. We are also Christians so we wanted good music but also clean. Considering everyone would be traveling to NJ for our wedding we really wanted to make sure everyone had a good time. We came across Rob's website with Colorblind and met with him in his home. We were not 100% sure he was the right DJ after that meeting, but after the wedding we were 125% sure we picked the best DJ. They did a wonderful job working with Crystal Plaza and our minister at the ceremony. At the reception from the beginning they had everyone on the floor. I saw people dancing to music they have never danced to. Everyone just jumped in together and had a great time. This was also a day wedding but you would not believe it from the amount of fun we had. This is months later and people are still telling me this was the best wedding they have ever been too. They had so much fun. He played the best mix of dance, hip hop, reggae, R&B, bachatha, merengue, salsa, and Tipico. They only thing I would have liked to have been added was Calypso, but that did not change things. Colorblind Productions was the first DJ I had a meeting with for my wedding in 2008. After meeting with Rob I went no further, I booked him that day. I had a horrible beginning to my day with running late, rain, and mishaps at the restaurant. The best part of the wedding, besides marrying my husband, was the reception. I can honestly say there were people on the dance floor, no lie, at ALL times. Music was GREAT, they took requests and even gave out props (Leis, inflated guitars, etc.) which came out great in the pics. What I especially liked was he knew when to play what kind of music. I.e. dinner music. Diane was just as awesome always asking if I needed anything and making sure I was ok. Colorblind productions have provided their multiple services for my wedding and my daughter's Quinceanera. Both events won rave reviews from my guests for their music, energy and all the extras. Not a single person sitting while the music played - all were on the dance floor! For my wedding and daughter's party, every detail was taken care of and all I had to worry about was arriving dressed and pretty. In the interest of full disclosure, I used to work for Colorblind. Being so intimately involved in its operation I saw both sides and have to say that Rob and his team are truly passionate about music and the ideal of having each event be a representation of the tastes and style of their clients as well as a exciting musical experience for everyone. That being said, they are a small outfit and in so there can be delays in response time. But the skill, experience and comprehension of all types of events outweighs any negatives they may have. read more

I used Colorblind for my wedding 6 years ago and people are still talking about how much fun they had at the wedding. People were up dancing the entire time. I have been to numerous weddings that Colorblind has done since then and it is always a great time!
