So glad that we did because it was excellent with great staff. We all really enjoyed the food. I loved my crab cake sandwich. It was so moist and flavorful. My husband loved his turkey platter. The gravy was delicious and the turkey was moist. My father in law enjoyed his burger. It was a good menu and tight in the middle of the cute little town. Would love to go back and try other things.

First time here, and I was expecting better based on the reviews. Entrance, tables, chairs, and…read moreambiance were as I expected. Ordered New England Clam Chowder. Served quickly and hot in a big, wide bowl. It looked good. Had small, irregularly sized potatoes and chopped carrots. The broth was a little thicker than I imagined or had tasted before in other restaurants, or in the one I make. Clams were tiny and, as you'd expect from a can. Not fresh clams. In fact, you can put all the clams found in chowder in a single tablespoon. Even found a whole bay leaf in it, which should have been removed before serving it. So, how is the chowder? I've had better from canned chowder, and the one I make is way better. Zero stars for the chowder. Next up is the Turkey platter with sliced turkey (hard and dry), 1 ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes (ok, nothing special), 1 ice cream scoop of stuffing (totally disgusting, and had corn in it), string beans (with vine still attached), gravy (terrible), and a little cup of cranberries (decent). Total fail. The waitress was ok, though stopping by every 5 minutes to ask if everything was good was quite annoying. The 'ice water gentleman' was great. You never asked for water, and when the glass was 1/2 empty, he was there refilling it. Great job! The final score of 2 stars is for the historic inn's ambiance and layout. We won't be back, and do not recommend.

Monalisia - Dessert table. They are very good about helping to set up.

Dined here Wednesday night June 24th on the special 4 course 28.95 menu which has a nice selection…read morefor all the courses. The server starts you off with a complimentary serving of peppers and onions in olive oil with thinly sliced crusty bread. I started with the clams casino appetizer which was hot and enjoyable, nice consistency of chopped clams, bread crumbs and seasoning The salad was next with which I ordered with honey mustard dressing which the server told me was not available. When the salad arrived I noticed the server went out of her way to top it with honey mustard dressing. I enjoyed the main course of a 6oz. filet mignon, which was a large enough slice for the number of courses served. Absolutely tender and delicious and as always a perfect medium rare. The meal was ended with a delicious creamy NY style cheesecake. The patronage is a testament to the value and quality of the food, always a crowded dining room. Wednesday night features a singing entertainer Always a byob which many of the patrons enjoy, which also adds to the value of the dining experience. This is one of the best restaurants in this part of south Jersey.

Never again. Eggplant parm to me,, are breaded fried eggplant discs with sauce and cheese over it…read moreand baked. Instead I got layers of gray looking eggplant that had no coating, scant ricotta cheese if you can find it, just weirdest looking stuff I've ever seen. It was so below my expectations I mentioned I didnt care for it. 27 dollars, I was asked if I wanted something else but since I ordered a side of fettuccine Alfredo which I hadn't touched yet I declined. Instead of taking the entree away and taking it off the bill, the mgr asked everyone at my table if anyone wanted to take it home. 2 people said they would out of politeness, thinking they were helping not waste it, instead I was charged for it and paid almost 30 dollars for an entree I didnt even get-to take home that I did not want because it was the grossest version of the dish I had ever seen but the option to take it off the bill was taken from me! I didnt eat the nasty salad that came with the meal because you dont get a choice of dressings, they tell you it comes with a homemade house dressing, i thought it would be an extra virgin olive oil and vinegar, but noooo, it was a sickeningly sweet orange looking stuff like that French dressing everyone knows on a bed of wilted salad greens that wasnt even the kind that crunches, it was, flaccid with a too thick piece of cucumber on it, and a little tomato. I heard the food was supposed to be so good here, and my expectations were pretty high! Not a gnocchi in site on the menu, my daughter had a special she didnt eat, some kind of chicken with peach that had a nasty favor that just didnt go together in azweird sauce, she took hers home. My side of fettuccine Alfredo wasnt tossed, it had a pre-made alfredo sauce that was ladled on top of the pasta but never coated on all the pasta! Im mad! I took that Alfredo home and when I took the container lid off it was, hard as a rock, congealed as,Alfredo leftover sometimes are but no butter in sight, and not sure it was cream, idk what it was, possibly a betchamel sauce that was made to appear like an alfredo? but it tasted like *?^&, im out 50 dollars towards the tip, 27 for the eggplant, 15 for the fake Alfredo and I feel ripped off. Ill never recommend this, place, ill never return, and I happen to know really good food but for my experience it was a waste ! The server was just ok, but didnt add anything to our dining experience! A better meal at a local diner could've been a lot better. This was a 50th birthday party,at least the server could've been more fun and personable. Sorry, not sorry. I still feel like I got ripped off.

SPECTACULAR! Literally...this winery was TOP NOTCH!! One of the best wineries I have ever been to…read more Luckily we were there as soon as they opened and it was so beautiful inside. The young ladies who helped us were so patient and explained everything including the wines and food menu. The charcuterie board was huge and everything on it was good, and three of us ordered the shrimp scampi flatbread. Lastly, the wines.....the wines were delicious! We walked out with purchasing at least 3 bottles each. These are the wines I can remember tasting, there were two more I cannot think of: 1. Blueberry 2. Blackberry 3. American Ranier I will definitely be back whenever I am in the area!

Service was great! Here is what we tried: *Ranier Rose - This was good, but we liked the other Ranier versions better. *Ranier Red - This was a very good sweet wine! *Ranier Red - This was also a very good sweet wine! *Red Sangria - This was a good wine, definitely has a raspberry taste to it, at least to us, so not my favorite of the day since I'm not a huge fan of raspberry. *Peach Moscato - This was a really good sweet wine with nice peach flavor. *Huckleberry Moscato - This was also a good sweet wine, but would have preferred a stronger huckleberry flavor, so we preferred the peach. *Almonique - I was most excited to try this one as I love Amaretto. This one was outstanding, definitely tastes like Amaretto without the harsh alcohol flavor. *Smores Cream Wine - It was good, definitely like a smores. *Mocha Java Cream Wine - Our server suggested us to try this one as it was his favorite. We both dislike coffee so we were not expecting to care for this one, but we liked it more than the Smores! Definitely very chocolatey! *Strawberry Mango Cider - This was strong in strawberry with the mango being an aftertaste, but still very good and sweet! *Peach Ginger Cider - This was definitely strong in ginger, almost too much, as I would prefer a stronger peach flavor, but it was still good. This was also sweet. My top three of the day: Almonique, Ranier Red, and Ranier White My husband's top three of the day: Almonique, Ranier Red, and Sangria. I would have loved to have tried some more as it sounds like they have a lot of good wines that are in line with what we liked! When we got home, we ordered some of the wines and ciders and they were shipped very quickly. I will be paying attention to their sales to order more in the future. I definitely recommend stopping by Tomasello Winery if you are in the area!
