During our rehearsal the day of the event there was to be food provided that we never received. There was nothing at the bar but sprite. There was supposed to be a buffet at the event but instead the company chose to have wait staff pass around hors d'oeuvres that weren't too bad but NOT WHAT PEOPLE PAYED FOR. The stage we had to walk on was rickety and small. Can you imagine how terrified I was walking on that in stilettos and other 5 inch heels! Don't get me wrong the set up was beautiful but I'm sure that was mostly due to our own awesome staff for the night. And the manger had a standoffish demeanor the entire night. Lastly they tried to upcharge the event when they did not even supply what was asked!! I'm only giving this two stars because our event still was amazing.

I attended a wedding this past weekend…read more The decor was beautiful. The linens were clean and well pressed. The food was edible I really didn't mind it. I had fettuccine Alfredo, chicken with a mushroom sauce and maybe spinach?, bourbon salmon, and mixed vegetables. In my opinion serving a safe dinner is better than taking the creative road and your guest starving to death. Would I have my wedding here? Probably not. But would I recommended it? I wouldn't turn you away.

I am sad to report that a year later, I am finding this buffet lacking in most areas…read more The only sections that we really found to still be reasonably good were the omelet and waffle stations where they make them fresh to order. But I don't need to go to a buffet to get a waffle. Most things in the chafing dishes (mussels, fish, potatoes, etc) were either dried out or too salty and just tasted terrible. The turkey sausage was so dry and weirdly textured I am not sure it was even meat, let alone turkey. The bagels and other pastries and breads were stale and poor quality. The desserts were especially bad. The big sliced cakes and all the little tiny cakes looked pretty but taste awful - fake whipped cream and too sweet cheap tasting frosting made them nearly inedible. I saw chocolate covered strawberries when I walked in but when I went for dessert they were gone with no replacements forthcoming. The tip was included for our party of 9 but she didn't deserve it - there were several times we needed something and there was no one in sight for long periods. We won't be returning.

Scotland Run holds a very special place in my heart, as it is where my husband and I got married…read more We now make it a tradition to return each year around our anniversary for their Sunday brunch. We are very lucky that they we have the opportunity to go back to our venue each year since a lot of venues are only limited to special occasions like weddings and showers offered in their banquet halls. The Sunday brunch is your quintessential Sunday brunch. They have a made-to-order omelet station, fresh waffle press, carving station, along with over a dozen options served in chafers. The options range from scrambled eggs to chicken Marsala. They also offer a range of bagels, pastries and salad dishes. There is a great variety of options without being overwhelming. The apple stuffed pancakes and the carved turkey were by far my favorite dishes during my most recent visit. On our reservation we noted that we were celebrating our anniversary and we were welcomed back with open arms. Our table was covered in rose pedals and we were provided a complimentary glass of champagne to enjoy with our brunch. JoAnn, one our wedding coordinators, was on site during our recent and came over to say hello to us and catch up. Even years after our wedding, the customer service at Scotland Run is top notch. Everyone we encountered a few years back was a pleasure to work with especially JoAnn and Kelly. Let me premise by saying that not every venue is right for every couple, but Scotland Run was 110% perfect for us. From start to finish, we were in fabulous hands and had the event of our dreams. No bride ever thinks there will be rain on her wedding day, and that was certainly something I hadn't planned for. No biggie, Scotland Run had a contingency plan and had everything taken care of. Years later our guests still rave about our wedding but by far they rave about the mashed potato bar and the dessert table. It goes without saying that the grounds are gorgeous and that's one of the things we fell in love with initially. The view from the ballroom was the greenery of the golf course and open skies. The pavilion was decorated with many, many different types of flowers adding luscious color. The venue was so pretty, we kept any extra decorations to the minimum. While our wedding day is now a day in the past, it is so nice to know that we can always come back for some special time to reminisce.

Oh what a fabulous venue and owner! Our family hosted a repast in March, to celebrate our loved one…read moreand gather to comfort one another. Nearly every family member commented about how beautiful the venue was decorated in purple, white and silver. Also, we found the location without any challenges and there was plenty of parking. While many people consider this location for parties in the evening or weekends, it was actually perfect for mid-day and a repast. The owner worked beautifully with our caterers and even rolled up her sleeves to ensure our event was perfect! I'm unsure when the next opportunity will be for our family to host something there, but I'm looking forward to it. Thanks Ms. Reba for a fabulous event space.

The event space is very nice . It's a blank canvas for the most part that you can really create…read morewhat you want out of it . I went into the venue to meet the owner over a year 1/2 ago when I visited the store next to it . She had the doors open allowing visitors to come view the space . She was very nice and sweet . She was excited , and what I thought at the time very professional. I've sent multiple ppl to her over the last year cause I loved her energy. She probably wouldn't remember me cause she is in contact with so many ppl but I always remembered that I would have a party at her venue if I had the chance . My family hosted a 60th birthday party at Fabulous events this weekend . I don't know if she was having a bad day or what but she was so rude and unprofessional, I was disgusted and disappointed. She was nitpicking at every little thing we did as far as set up and making really offensive remarks . She was irritated at something . It's one of those things that's hard to explain and understand, like why is she being so rude ?????? Even at the end of the night , it was like GET OUT . The man she had with her did ask how our night went but she did not. As far as I know , it's her venue so I hold her to a high regard. The person who we gave the party for was a stroke victim , who was still in recovery and we just wanted to celebrate her still being here with us for her 60th . Plus It had stormed so bad before our event that it set us back. We had a large amount of ppl coming to us from Philly, Delaware , NY and even Raleigh NC. So our event started at 5 but honestly ppl didn't get there until 6/630 cause it rained so bad. The owner was back at 10pm sharp and walking around huffing and puffing and making smart comments about what she wouldn't do and would do if this was her party. She made us feel very uncomfortable. Not welcoming at all. There was a moment while cleaning up that my sister in law was about to snap on her for being so rude . Honestly I would never recommend, refer or use this event space ever again. I was one of the ones shouting for ppl to go here . I own two very popular businesses in the same area , so I am in contact with so many ppl on a daily basis. I pride myself on love , customer service and professionalism. In the last 5 years Of being in business I would never make my customers feel so uncomfortable and unappreciated. We paid our money to be there . We went over and beyond to make this happen for the person we wanted to celebrate. And to have such a nasty demeanor was disgusting. The venue is nice , but there are other venues in the same area where we have had events at , with better aesthetics and was treated with so much more respect. She should humble herself a bit. I just really wanted to support this venue cause of how I felt before when I met her . Ppl show their true colors eventually.
